Could it be that the high fever last night made her confused?
Before he could figure it out, he heard An Ci say, "Uncle Che, I left something in Shen Mo's room. I want to go get it."
Shi Che came back to his senses and responded, "Okay, go get it yourself."
Anyway, she knows the password to the door.
An Ci nodded, gathered his coat and left.
After she left, Shi Che finally spoke, "Did Xiao Ci get upset by something?"
Just one night and everything was fine.
It's abnormal, very abnormal.
Song Xiunian glanced at him and said, "What do you think?"
Shi Che felt uneasy when he looked at him, and rubbed his arms, "Fuck, don't look at me like that, I'm upset too, that guy even cut off contact with me."
There has been no news from yesterday until now, it's like he has disappeared from the face of the earth.
"Forget it, let's not talk about this anymore, how about a drink?"
Song Xiunian glanced at him, stood up and walked towards the wine cabinet.
The other side.
An Ci walked into Shen Mo's room with familiarity. He seemed to have taken nothing away. The furnishings in the bedroom and study were still the same. Even the candy he bought for her when he went to Nanyi that day was on the table.
She withdrew her gaze, walked to his closet, hesitated for a few seconds, and then reached out to push open the door.
Just as she remembered, the clothes were neatly hung inside, with only a few hangers empty. For a moment, An Ci felt that Shen Mo had never left.
After a moment, she closed the cabinet door, turned around and walked to the bed, reached out to remove the pillow, and a small blue velvet box was exposed to her sight.
An Ci picked it up and opened the velvet box, and a flash of bright red flashed in her eyes.
It is a hand-woven red rope.
Unlike the red ropes sold outside, this red rope is woven very roughly. Upon closer inspection, a section of the red line in the middle is twisted, as if it was woven halfway and then taken apart and woven again.
Her intuition told her that this was woven by Shen Mo himself.
An Ci looked stunned. He could hardly imagine that those big hands with distinct joints could do this kind of handicraft.
But why did he give her a red string?
An Ci closed the velvet box and glanced at the photo frame on the bedside table. The photo in it was a picture of her and him.
After enduring it all night, she couldn't help but curse, "Idiot."
She turned the photo frame upside down on the table and turned to leave his room.
…
After dinner, An Ci went back to his room to pack his luggage.
In fact, she didn't have much luggage to pack, she just wanted to be alone for a while.
She curled up on the sofa, casually watching the progress of the club decoration sent by Dali.
“Dongdongdong——”
There was a knock on the door, and An Ci looked away from the tablet and raised his head to look at the door.
"Come in."
The door was ajar, and Song Xi opened it with a gentle push. She walked over wearing a pair of furry rabbit slippers.
He was holding a glass of milk in his hand.
"Baby, drink the milk while it's hot." She sat next to An Ci and handed her the cup.
An Ci put the tablet on his lap, reached out to take the cup, and began to drink it.
"Zizi, are you really not going to stay for two more days?" Song Xi pulled her arm and shook it, "I really don't want to leave you."
The glass of milk quickly ran out. An Ci put the glass back on the table and smiled, "I'll be back after the Chinese New Year, or you can come to Continent M to see me during your vacation."
Song Xi pursed his lips and said with a bitter face, "It would be great if you could stay here forever."
An Ci laughed, put his hand on her shoulder, and comforted her, "When the club opens, I'll take you there..."
Her voice stopped abruptly, and her eyes were drawn to the red rope on her wrist.
Unlike her red rope, her sister's red rope is very delicate, and there is a little dolphin made of pure gold on it.
"Sister, why did you buy this?"
Song Xi followed her gaze and saw the red string bracelet on her wrist. She curled her pink lips and said, "Is it nice? I saw it when I was shopping with my grandma. She bought it for me."
"It looks nice." An Ci fiddled with the pure gold dolphin and asked curiously, "What does the red string mean?"
Song Xi thought for a moment and said, "I'm not too sure about this. The salesperson at the counter seemed to say it represents peace, health, and good luck. I can't remember the details."
An Ci paused, thinking of the roughly made red rope, his heart suddenly felt heavy, and no matter how angry he was, he couldn't get angry anymore.
He wanted her to be safe and healthy, and so did she.
But he chose the dumbest way to disappear.
Seeing that she hadn't spoken, Song Xi touched her knee and asked, "Baby, what's wrong with you?"
An Ci came back to his senses and said, "No, I was just thinking about something."
"Don't think too much. Have you packed your luggage?" Song Xi looked around and saw only a backpack on another sofa.
An Ci said, "It's finished."
"Then let's go to my room. I bought a super big Lego set. It's hard to assemble. You can help me." Song Xi didn't want to see her depressed alone, so he stood up and pulled her hand to urge her to get up.
Seeing what she was thinking, An Ci smiled faintly, put the tablet aside, and followed her out of the room.
…
The next day, An Ci took Fugui on a plane back to Continent M early in the morning.
Perhaps he noticed that An Ci was in a bad mood, so Fugui didn't pester her to play, but lay quietly beside her.
An Ci regained consciousness, looking at the paw on her knee. She raised it and stroked Fugui's head, muttering to herself, "Fugui, do you think he's doing well since he left?"
Fugui said nothing and looked at her with his dark eyes.
"He must have been having a hard time, so he left without saying a word." An Ci continued.
