Chapter 17: Jackal or Tiger or Leopard

Qin Xue's face suddenly flashed through An Ci's mind, her beautiful peach blossom eyes narrowed slightly, filled with a chill.

It’s annoying. Really annoying.

She gritted the straw with her teeth, looked away, and looked back at the lunch box on the table, which contained cut fruit.

Putting down the juice, she reached out to grab the fruit fork, but before she could touch it, she was stopped by Aunt Hong.

"Wait, young master, you haven't washed your hands yet." Aunt Hong looked at her dirty little hands and took the fruit fork first. "I'll do it. Which one do you want to eat?"

An Ci naturally had no objection to being fed. She looked at the lunch box and said, "Watermelon."

Upon hearing this, Aunt Hong picked up a piece of watermelon and fed it to her mouth. An Ci opened her mouth without any hesitation.

The cool and sweet watermelon juice exploded on the tip of his tongue. There were no seeds yet. An Ci narrowed his eyes in satisfaction, and the restlessness in his heart dissipated a little.

"Auntie Hong, I want to eat another piece." Her tone was soft and quite harmless.

Aunt Hong smiled and fed her another piece. "You can't eat any more after this one. Eating too much watermelon will give you diarrhea."

An Ci nodded obediently. She saw Ah Xiu walking towards her out of the corner of her eye. She calmly looked away and licked the watermelon juice from her lips.

Whether it is a jackal or a tiger or leopard, you will know after trying it.

She took the initiative and asked, "Auntie Hong, who is this auntie?"

Aunt?

As Ah Xiu stepped into the pavilion, she suddenly heard the word "Auntie" and her expression froze for a moment.

Does she look old?

She is only twenty-five, but this little thing actually calls her...Auntie?

Ah Xiu felt like there was something stuck in her throat, but she had to put on a smile.

Aunt Hong said, "She is the Ah Xiu I mentioned to you."

An Ci uttered an "ah" and seemed to suddenly realize something. He turned to look at Ah Xiu and curled the corners of his lips. "So you are the Aunt Xiu who made the sachet for me."

"Thank you Aunt Xiu for the sachet you made for me, but Fugui and I accidentally broke it." His expression became visibly depressed.

She kept calling her "Auntie" left and right. Ah Xiu almost couldn't hold it in and forced a gentle smile, "You're welcome. As long as the young master likes it."

"It's just a sachet. It doesn't matter if it's broken. As long as you like it, I'll make another one for you."

An Ci's gaze lingered on her face for a moment, and he smiled, "Okay, then thank you, Aunt Xiu."

Another word of "Auntie", and the smile on Ah Xiu's face froze.

After eating the fruit to replenish his energy, An Ci ran back, picked up the small shovel and continued digging.

While she wasn't paying attention, Aunt Hong took out her cell phone and took a few photos of her.

Ah Xiu, standing nearby, saw this and pretended to ask casually, "Cousin, are you going to send the photos to the Second Miss?"

Aunt Hong nodded, and looking at An Ci's cute appearance, she couldn't help but take two more photos.

Ah Xiu continued to probe, "Won't the Second Miss and the son-in-law come to see the young master? After all, the young master is still so young."

"I don't know." Aunt Hong put away her phone and said briefly.

When the head of the family brought the young master back, he had already privately agreed with the second young lady that they would not be allowed to meet within three months, for fear that the young master would make a fuss and ask to go home as soon as he saw his parents.

But she couldn't tell her these things, even though she was her cousin.

Since she said so, Ah Xiu naturally didn't want to ask any further.

At the end of the day, news of An Ci's feat of transforming the luxurious garden into a vegetable garden spread throughout the manor.

Even An Yiyao and his group heard about it.

Taking advantage of the break between classes and dinner, An Yiheng took a detour to go and see An Ci's joke.

Unfortunately, An Yiyao saw through his little thoughts and reached out to stop him, "Stop messing around. You have evening classes later."

"Whoever's making trouble, I'll go check it out." An Yiheng's tone was flattering. "Besides, aren't you curious about what that dwarf's vegetable garden looks like?"

An Yiyao frowned, "What a dwarf, don't give people nicknames casually."

If this were heard by someone with ulterior motives, it would inevitably cause trouble.

An Yiheng muttered, "I'm short to begin with." Then he was glared at by his eldest brother, and he curled his lips.

"Brother, I promise I won't cause any trouble. Let's just go take a look. Who wants to come with us?"

Others hesitated.

"I'll go." One of the boys raised his hand.

"Count me in."

"Then I'll go too."

Seeing that everyone was going, An Yiyao was afraid that his younger brother would get into trouble again, so he had to go with the crowd.

When the seven people arrived at the lake, they were shocked to see the garden had been changed beyond recognition.

The garden in my memory is no longer as luxurious as it used to be. Looking around, there are planted vegetables on one side, and a few chickens and geese are raised in a fence on the other side. There are even grape racks and swings. It has a strong rural atmosphere.

An Yiheng was so shocked that his jaw dropped. "The Patriarch is too indulgent towards her."

She actually turned it into a vegetable garden.

Another young man next to him said, "I think this is pretty good."

As soon as he said this, six pairs of eyes looked at him.

It seems doubtful and unbelievable.

An Yiheng looked at him in bewilderment, "Jianwen, what are you talking about?"

"This makes it more down-to-earth, isn't it?" An Jianwen smiled faintly.

An Yiheng sneered, his tone rather contemptuous: "What do you mean by fireworks? It should be rustic."

The top-notch luxurious garden turned into a vegetable garden, which is not luxurious at all.

An Jianwen smiled and didn't argue with him. He looked at the swing not far away.

Just then, a mass of white came into their sight and headed straight for the fence.

"Wealth."

An Ci chased after him and saw Fugui jump into the fence again. He roared, scaring the chicks and goslings inside to run away.
