At daybreak, An Ci vaguely heard the sound of a whistle coming from outside. No need to guess, it must be An Yiyao and the others doing morning exercises.
After silently sympathizing with them for a second, An Ci turned over and continued to sleep while holding Fugui.
Why run? Isn’t it better to sleep?
She slept until after nine o'clock and was woken up by Aunt Hong.
After An Ci changed her clothes, she turned around and saw Aunt Hong holding a sachet and preparing to hang it on the head of her bed.
She came over and asked, "Auntie Hong, what are you doing?"
Aunt Hong explained, "The previous sachet was broken by Fugui, so Ah Xiu made a new one for you overnight and sent it to you this morning."
An Ci glanced at the sachet in her hand and said, "Auntie Hong, don't hang it up. Just put it next to my pillow."
"Okay." Aunt Hong always spoiled her and put the sachet next to her pillow as she asked.
"Okay, let's go downstairs and have breakfast."
An Ci nodded, and when she walked out of the room, she suddenly said, "Auntie Hong, please get Fugui something to eat first. I need to go to the bathroom."
After saying this, she hurried back to the room.
Aunt Hong didn't suspect anything and took Fugui downstairs first.
As soon as he entered the room, An Ci went straight to her bed, reached out to pick up the sachet beside her pillow, lowered his head and smelled it.
Sure enough, it still has the smell of a broken heart.
Even more than the dose in the previous sachet.
An Ci's eyes turned cold, huh, he was so cruel.
Putting the sachet back in its place, she turned around, walked out of the room and strolled downstairs.
…
As soon as the get out of class was over, An Yiheng came over from the next classroom and pulled a chair next to An Jianwen.
"Jianwen, why didn't you go to the cafeteria last night? Where did you go?" He looked curious.
An Jianwen didn't even raise his head, holding the pen and writing questions, "I went to Xiaoci's place."
"Xiao Ci?"
An Yiheng's expression turned strange. "When did you become so close to that dwarf?"
An Jianwen: "She's not short."
An Yiyao: "Yiheng, don't give me random nicknames."
The two spoke almost at the same time. An Yiheng looked at them and felt depressed.
"Why are you all speaking for her?" He stood up suddenly, kicked the table leg angrily and turned away.
"Yiheng..." An Yiyao did not chase after him. He looked at his brother's back as he left in anger and shook his head helplessly.
With his impulsive personality, he will suffer sooner or later.
"Jianwen, have you filled out your leave application?"
An Jianwen lowered his eyelashes and nodded lightly.
The leave application requires a parent's signature, and it would be difficult for him to pass his father's test.
Sure enough, as soon as An Jianwen finished class, someone came to inform him that his father had arrived.
An Jianwen returned to the room with a nervous mood. The moment he opened the door, he was hit by a strong sense of oppression.
He closed the door, calmed himself, and then walked in.
"Father."
They are obviously father and son, but their tone of voice is as distant as strangers.
Across from him, the man sat upright, "I heard you're on sick leave?"
An Jianwen lowered his eyebrows and said, "Yes."
An Rui snorted coldly, his sinister eyes sweeping over him, "I think you've grown wings. You actually dared to lie to me. Do you have the energy to go to An Ci even though you're sick?"
An Jianwen's eyes trembled and sweat began to form on his palms.
Just when he thought his father was going to get furious, he suddenly heard a burst of laughter from the other side.
"Hahaha."
"Jianwen, come here."
An Jianwen hesitated for a moment and walked over slowly.
The next moment, the man's large, calloused hand landed on his shoulder and patted him, "Jianwen, I didn't expect you to be so smart. You even took the initiative to build a closer relationship with that young master."
An Jianwen raised his head and met the man's smiling eyes, and he was stunned.
As far as he could remember, his father had never smiled at him like this. Even when he got first place in the exam, he just told him to keep working hard.
"Jianwen, you need to build a good relationship with the young master. It would be best if you could gain her trust." An Rui continued, "Kid, just go along with her and coax her..."
"I don't want this."
Although An Jianwen is young, he is not stupid and immediately understood the meaning of An Rui's words.
Letting him get close to Xiao Ci and curry favor with him is nothing more than wanting to use him to exploit Xiao Ci and ultimately achieve his own ambitions.
An Rui's face immediately turned cold. "What do you mean you don't want this? Everything I do is for you. Clear your mind."
An Jianwen lowered his head and said nothing.
An Rui looked at him, not knowing what he was thinking. He relaxed his expression and said, "You lost to Yi Yao in the last monthly exam. You'd better pay more attention this time."
Before he finished speaking, his cell phone rang.
An Rui picked up the phone, took a look at it, hung up directly, and then stood up.
Before leaving, he added, "Get closer to An Ci."
An Jianwen said nothing. When he heard the door close, his nose felt sore.
…
Bored after playing in the vegetable garden, An Ci took Fugui to look for An Jianwen, but they found him empty-handed when they arrived at the classroom.
Finally, she learned from An Yiyao that An Jianwen had gone back to rest, and she hurried away with Fugui.
When he was almost at the door, An Ci saw a familiar figure flash by in the corner.
The one wearing a light pink uniform and with a pretty profile is Ah Xiu.
What is she doing here?
An Ci narrowed his eyes, picked up Fugui and hid in the grass beside him. He touched Fugui's head with his little hand, signaling him not to make any sound.
Then she looked over and saw a man in a suit and tie walking out of the castle and heading straight towards the corner.
An Ci put Fugui down and whispered, "Fugui, wait for me here, don't run around."
