Chapter 74: What are you afraid of? Be brave (1)

Shen Mo spread his arms and motioned her to jump down.

An Ci didn't hesitate and jumped up. Shen Mo rushed forward and she threw herself on him, and the two fell into a ball.

Shen Mo pursed his lips tightly, and before he could swallow a groan of pain, An Ci heard it with his sharp ears.

She hurriedly got up from him and asked, "Where are you hurt?"

Shen Mo's lips turned pale, "It's okay."

During this time, Eric had already climbed up the window, looked down at the two of them, and said in a hollow voice, "You two, get out of the way."

Shen Mo pulled An Ci aside, and with every step he took, he felt a sharp pain in his ankle.

He frowned and clenched his fists at his sides.

Eric was the tallest, so he jumped down easily and landed firmly on his feet.

An Ci pulled one of them in each hand and said, "Let's go."

There was a forest behind the wooden house. The three of them ran in without looking back. They were worried that Erpang would notice they were missing and chase after them. So the three of them didn't dare to stop and ran forward with all their might.

At this moment, An Ci was glad that she had done morning exercises regularly in the manor before, otherwise she would not be able to run such a long distance now.

The wind was strong and cold in the middle of the night, but the three of them were sweating profusely. Eric's legs went weak and he fell to the ground.

He waved his hands and said, "No, I can't run anymore. Let me catch my breath first."

Next to him, An Ci was panting with exhaustion. Just as he was about to sit down and rest for a while, he was stopped by Shen Mo.

He said hoarsely, "Don't sit down right away, take a few steps and slow down."

Then he took her for a few steps back and forth.

Eric looked at Shen Mo as if he were a monster, "Shen Mo, how come you have such good physical strength?"

He looks like a special dish by doing this.

Shen Mo said calmly, "If you do morning exercises every day, you can be this good."

Eric curled his lips and decided to forget about morning exercises. He still felt that sleeping was more sound.

After catching his breath, he looked at the pitch-black forest and felt a chill on his back.

He stood up and moved closer to An Ci, swallowing his saliva, "How long do we have to run?"

An Ci glanced at him and asked, "Are you scared?"

Eric straightened his back and said stubbornly, "Whoever is scared, I'm not."

"Why wouldn't I be afraid of you grabbing my clothes?" An Ci joked.

Eric's eyes flickered, and he tightened his grip on her clothes. "Is it okay if I'm afraid of the dark?"

An Ci smiled, raised his hand and patted his back, "What are you afraid of? Be braver."

"Let's go." Shen Mo said.

An Ci and Eric nodded.

Along the way, they ran and rested, rested and ran, the cold wind of the winter blew across their cheeks, and the three children held hands and ran forward without fear.

Fortunately, their luck was not too bad. The three of them found the exit of the forest. When they came out of the forest, they were greeted by a wide and flat road.

It was eerily quiet.

Eric clasped his hands together and muttered, "God, please give us a car. I'm willing to be a vegetarian for a week."

An Ci tilted his head and looked at him, "What are you talking about?"

"I'm praying to God," Eric said, "Give us a car, and I'll be a vegetarian for a week."

An Ci's mouth twitched, "If you said a year, I think there's a chance."

Eric thought for a moment, looked at the two of them, and made a serious suggestion, "Twelve months a year, how about we go AA, four months each?"

Anci, "..."

Shen Mo, "..."

How did he survive in the complicated royal family with his unique way of thinking?

Suddenly, a beam of car lights came into their sight.

An Ci narrowed his eyes and looked at the truck coming from a distance, his eyes brightening.

"See, my prayer worked." Eric showed surprise on his face and his eyes narrowed with a smile.

An Ci curled his lips, "Well, remember to eat vegetarian food for a week."

Eric didn't care. As long as he could go back, he would be willing to eat vegetarian food for a month.

Looking at the truck getting closer and closer, the three of them raised their hands and waved vigorously.

“Stop, stop…”

The driver saw three children standing in the middle of the road and immediately braked. He opened the door and got out. "What's wrong with you three kids? How can you stand in the middle of the road? It's so dangerous."

An Ci raised his head, his clear peach blossom eyes filled with tears, and said pitifully, "Uncle, we are lost. Can you please take us to the police station?"

Seeing her tears flowing so easily, Eric was a little dumbfounded.

The driver was also a father. Looking at the three children in front of him, he couldn't help but think of his son at home, and his heart softened immediately.

He sighed, "You kids just know how to run around. The adults at home must be worried sick in the middle of the night. Hurry up and get in the car. I'm going to the county to make some deliveries, and I'll take you to the police station on the way."

An Ci grasped the key words in his words, the county?

Damn it, those two men actually brought them to such a remote place.
