The trial will be held in a month.
This trial is particularly noteworthy because it involves members of the royal family.
Although Yin Ruohong was sitting in the defendant's seat, he appeared calm and composed, giving the impression that he was the one in charge of the trial.
He Yan and Jia Min sat in the audience.
Upon hearing the charges listed by the prosecution, a barely perceptible smile flickered across Jia Min's face. Beside her, He Yan remained expressionless, a layer of anger etched into his deep eyes, his hands clenched tightly together.
"Your Majesty..." Queen Jiamin gently took his hand.
He Yan's fingertips paused slightly, but he didn't push her away. Jia Min was somewhat surprised. For so many years, because of He Lin Yue's incident, He Yan had tried his best to avoid physical contact with her, and even normal married life had become less and less frequent. Every time he touched her, it was as if he had touched something unclean.
In the last two years, they have simply started sleeping separately.
He Yan's actions just now filled Jia Min with joy. It was an unintentional gesture, but for Jia Min, it was like a milestone, of extraordinary significance.
She paused for a moment, then laughed and tentatively rested her head on He Yan's shoulder.
He Yan still did not dodge.
Jiamin's eyes reddened, and her determination to get rid of Yin Ruohong became even stronger.
Once Yin Ruohong is gone, no one will ever bring He Linyue back to her senses... As long as He Linyue remains insane, no one will ever know Sang Qing's true identity.
Once these obstacles are removed one by one, He Yan will forever belong to her alone.
“Yin Ruohong,” the prosecutor’s lawyer said sternly, “do you admit to all of this?”
Yin Ruohong gave a cold laugh.
"These kinds of things require evidence," he said in a deep voice. "You want me to admit something without any proof? You're trying to confuse the issue. Are you suggesting that the laws of Southeast Asia can be manipulated so easily?"
The lawyer glanced at him and asked the judge to call a witness.
A short while later, Sang Qing sat in the witness stand.
"You saw it with your own eyes, didn't you?"
Sang Qing nodded slightly.
The lawyer continued, "Ever since Her Highness Yue drank the medicine containing cinnabar, her condition has worsened. And this medicine was a formula provided by Yin Ruohong, wasn't it?"
Sang Qing took a deep breath, licked her lips, and answered with crystal clarity: "No."
At this moment, the courtroom erupted in an uproar.
Sang Qing smiled calmly and said, "I'm here today to testify for Chairman Yin. So I don't want to see anyone throwing mud at him!"
The lawyer narrowed his eyes slightly: "Miss Sang, you are the one who should report His Highness Yue's serious illness to the Queen."
"Since Your Highness is seriously ill, I must tell the Queen the truth, but that does not mean I intend to frame Chairman Yin!"
“Very good!” The lawyer smiled; Jiamin had indeed predicted everything.
So, unhurriedly, he presented another piece of evidence.
"Before coming to Southeast Asia, Miss Sang Qing lived in Manchester. Her parents were illegal immigrants with no stable income. However, their standard of living has improved significantly recently. After investigating their accounts, we found a large sum of money of unknown origin in their accounts."
“Miss Sang,” the lawyer sneered, “this is the benefit Yin Ruohong promised you!”
Sang Qing frowned, a hint of anger flashing in her eyes.
"You're talking nonsense!"
"I'm not lying. This proof of financial transactions is the strongest evidence!"
“I haven’t seen my parents since I was ten!” Sang Qing raised her voice. “Even I haven’t been in contact with them, so how could Chairman Yin possibly have been able to contact them?”
The lawyer glanced at the gallery.
Jiamin, sitting in the middle, looked at him and nodded slightly.
“Your Honor,” the lawyer bowed, “please allow me to call another group of witnesses to appear in court!”
A short while later, a man and a woman walked in from outside the courtroom.
The courtroom fell silent instantly, everyone staring quietly at the two people.
The man was thin and bony, his pale face so dark you could almost see his veins. The woman exuded a worldly air about her; though she was no longer young, her revealing clothing and heavy makeup seemed to tell you what kind of profession she used to be.
The two men sat timidly in the witness stand, their eyes darting around. When they caught sight of Ayu next to Queen Jiamin, they paused for a moment, then lowered their heads at the same time.
Jiamin's heart skipped a beat, and her brows furrowed slightly.
Who are these two people?
The people she asked Ayu to look for weren't the two of them at all!
Sang Qing looked at the two of them with a puzzled expression. Although she had no memory of her parents, it had only been eight or nine years since she was abandoned.
In eight or nine years, could a person's facial features, appearance, and even hair color be completely changed?
Jiamin looked at the lawyer, nervously biting her lip.
The lawyer, unaware of the truth, thought she was giving him a coded message and smiled, saying, "Ms. Sang, your parents are here to testify now!"
He then looked at the man and woman and said, “I have a few questions for you both, and you must answer them truthfully in front of the judge.”
"The extra money in your bank account was given to you by this person, right?"
The lawyer pointed at Yin Ruohong.
The two looked in the direction he pointed, then glanced at Ayu...
When this woman approached them, she said she shouldn't say anything in court and would receive a sum of money afterwards.
Judging from this situation, is it still possible to fulfill the promise?
"Gentlemen," the lawyer cleared his throat, emphasizing his words, "please answer truthfully!"
"These aren't my parents!" Sang Qing spoke up first. "You guys are ridiculous. You think you can just pick two random people to impersonate my parents and frame Chairman Yin?"
“Yes.” Jiang Can’s voice came from the other side of the gallery, calm yet tinged with sarcasm, “If witnesses are this easy to find, then the trial is far too casual!”
“However…” Jiang Can looked at Jia Min, “Perhaps Her Majesty the Queen has other intentions in doing this. Am I right?”
Jiamin's face instantly turned ugly. She turned around abruptly and glared at Ayu behind her.
"Where's the person I told you to find?" she gritted her teeth. "How could things have turned out like this!"
Ayu looked up, her calm gaze devoid of any master-servant affection, filled with a sense of estrangement.
"Your Majesty, what is your purpose in asking me to find someone? Why don't you explain it to His Honor?"
"I'm asking you where those two people went!" Jiamin, enraged and embarrassed, stood up and tried to hit her.
However, before the slap could land, He Yan grabbed her wrist.
He Yan's gaze held a hint of distrust as he frowned and asked her, "Whom did you ask A Yu to find?"
