Lu Ran lowered her eyelids and remained silent.
She held a tiny kitten in her arms, gently stroking it; the soft, furry touch gradually dispelled the gloom in her heart.
"Don't worry." Huo Junyang put his arm around her shoulder. "Men in the Huo family all have discerning eyes and can tell the difference between good and bad! You don't need to feel so insecure. Once I've made up my mind about you, I won't change."
"Um."
Huo Junyang's eyes were clear and bright, and for a moment, Lu Ran seemed afraid to meet his gaze.

Huo Junyang didn't have time to answer her, busy checking on the kitten. After a while, the kitten calmed down, but its little body was still trembling.
"I'm sorry, Junyang," Lu Ran said softly. "I... it was my first time holding a kitten, I had no experience, and I used too much force."
Huo Junyang glanced at her.
This wasn't just a little bit too strong; it almost killed the kitten.
“Ranran,” he looked at her, “are you still in a bad mood? I wanted to cheer you up, but it seems my methods aren’t working very well…”
What should I do to make you happy?
Lu Ran stared at him blankly, her heart filled with mixed emotions.
After a long silence, she suddenly asked him, "Junyang, will we get married?"
"Um?"
"Didn't you say you wanted to make me happy...?" She gently grasped his hand, as if clutching at a last straw, "I would be very happy if we could get married smoothly."
