Bai Ruogu felt that his soul had already left his body.

Song Wan nestled in the blankets, the only sound in the quiet world being her heartbeat.

She liked him.

Song Wan smiled faintly, her cheeks flushed as if she had a fever.
She was about to say something when a familiar, sharp pain suddenly shot through both sides of her lower abdomen. She gasped and curled up in a ball on the bed.
Lin Zhaojiang noticed her unusual behavior and rushed into the bedroom without thinking twice.
"Wanwan, what's wrong?"
He carefully turned her shoulder and saw her face turn pale with pain.
"Wanwan?"
"I...I'm fine." Song Wan forced a smile. "It's just a stomachache, I'll be fine after lying down for a while."
Lin Zhaojiang's first thought was that she was on her period.
He squeezed her hand and said softly, "I'll go make you some brown sugar water."
"No need," Song Wan pulled him back, "It's not that..."
"What?"
"This is an old problem," she said with a weak smile.
She has experienced this frequently over the past two years. Sometimes she would feel pain on both sides of her lower abdomen for a while, with no particular pattern. The pain would last for a short time or for several days, but she would get better on her own without taking any medicine.

She smiled softly, closed her eyes wearily, and buried her face in his palm.
