Xia Wan refused to budge an inch, and her expression gradually hardened.
Liang Qi chuckled and looked down at Cui Ziqi's face.
"He meant the murderer next to you, is he wrong?"
"Officer Liang, do you have any evidence?"
Liang Qi paused.
Xia Wan said slowly and deliberately, "Spreading rumors is a crime in itself. Officer Liang should set an example. It's an insult to anyone who is labeled a murderer. If you don't have any evidence to prove that Cui Ziqi is a murderer, I hope you will apologize to him now."
Liang Qi's face instantly turned cold.
If he had evidence, he wouldn't have failed to bring this bastard to justice until now!
But an apology is absolutely out of the question!
"If you don't want to apologize, that's fine too. I've already recorded what Officer Liang just said. When we get to Lincheng, I'll file a complaint with your superiors. Whatever punishment Officer Liang receives, he can only blame himself for his annoying mouth."
Xia Wan waved her phone, her expression icy, just like Cui Ziqi who remained silent.
A moment of silence fell in front of the earthen house, a tense undercurrent swirling within them. Even Su You, the little tyrant, unconsciously shrank behind Su Meng.
After a long while, Liang Qi looked at Cui Ziqi and spoke reluctantly.
"Feel sorry."
Cui Ziqi raised an eyebrow, not even sparing Liang Qi a second of his gaze, but instead looking meaningfully at the woman beside him.
Xia Wan then put her phone away and pulled Cui Ziqi away.
Cui Ziqi gave Zuo Cheng a wink, and Zuo Cheng nodded. He and Tang Xiao then walked in another direction.
