Xia Wan then noticed that the door next to her was ajar, and the sounds inside were not loud, but they could be heard clearly.
She crept closer, trying to see who was inside through the narrow gap, but the gap was too narrow. She quietly reached out to try and widen the gap.

The room fell silent instantly.
Fine beads of sweat appeared on Xia Wan's forehead, and she silently took a step back.

An unfamiliar male voice, laced with mockery, rang out. Xia Wan turned her head and met the man's greasy gaze.
He chewed his gum, his gaze roaming brazenly over Xia Wan.
"I noticed you just now. You're really good-looking. Spend the night with me, and I'll protect you in Qianshui Town from now on."
This man was the one who sat next to her in the boxing match just now.
There was no way out at the end of the corridor. Xia Wan swallowed hard, trying her best to remain calm.
She gritted her teeth and pushed open the door next to her.

He took the opportunity to look at the people inside the house.
Two people, a man and a woman, stood facing each other at the table, their gazes towards Xia Wan filled with murderous intent.

The man outside followed him in. His lewd smile froze instantly when he saw the person inside, and his face turned deathly pale.

The woman, called Sister Bai, didn't give the two a chance to speak at all, and pulled out a pistol and pointed it at them.
