Su Mengyan no longer had to be sandwiched between Situ Yao and Yun Fu. She happily hummed an unknown tune and ran around the villa all day.
That day, she made a new dessert, but she didn't tell anyone because she wanted to give them a surprise. Su Mengyan tasted it alone in the kitchen. Although it was her own creation, it was surprisingly delicious.
Just as Su Mengyan was about to take the food out, she saw a familiar figure flash by. She put down the food in her hand and chased after him, "Fangcao, what are you doing here? Where's the princess?"

About half an incense stick later, the cakes were found to be poisonous, and it was the same poison that Yun Fu had been poisoned with. Now, Su Mengyan had no room for argument.
She sat dejectedly on the ground, unable to figure out what had gone wrong and who could have poisoned someone right under her nose.
"Your Highness, I have found out what poison the princess has contracted, and I will be able to prepare an antidote in some time." The doctor looked at several pieces of cake again and again, and finally told her the good news.

"Fangcao, she was the one who called me out." Su Mengyan knelt on her knees. "Your Highness, I really didn't poison the princess. If she wanted to harm the princess, she would have done it in the dessert before. There was no need to wait until now."
"Fangcao, is she telling the truth? Why did you go to see Su Mengyan?" Situ Yao ignored her and asked Fangcao.
The latter's eyes were evasive and he actually shook his head to deny it.
Su Mengyan was stunned, her eyes filled with disbelief.
