Shangguan Yanran was stunned for a moment, feeling both flattered and a little unaccustomed to it.
It seems that Fu Rongchen's attitude towards her has changed a lot since she came to Xuzhou.
She opened her mouth, about to say something, when she heard the man's soft voice beside her ear.

She paused, then turned to look at him.

Fu Rongchen found her appearance adorable.
He rubbed his fingers together, wanting to pinch her cheek, but fearing he might offend her, he had to give up.
"Why are you so surprised?" he asked.
Shangguan Yanran came to her senses and said with some complicated feelings, "Is it because I came to Xuzhou?"
Fu Rongchen was taken aback. "Of course not." He paused, then said gently, "Even if you hadn't come, I still planned to visit your parents to propose marriage after we returned to the capital this time."
Shangguan Yanran was very surprised, "Why?"
Fu Rongchen's lips curled up slightly. "I thought I had made my feelings very clear."
Shangguan Yanran looked bewildered. "When did you express that? How come I had no idea?"
Fu Rongchen gave her a deep look, then suddenly stepped forward and pinned her against the flowering tree behind him. "Don't you know? Didn't I treat you to so many meals for nothing last time in the capital?"
Shangguan Yanran was initially at a loss because of his sudden actions, but when she heard what he said, she couldn't help but roll her eyes.
"Just a few meals, and you consider that a confession to me? Fu Rongchen, you're so stingy... ugh!"
Shangguan Yanran stood there, stunned.
Although it was just a fleeting touch, the unfamiliar yet warm sensation made her face turn bright red.
Realizing what had happened, she hurriedly raised her hand to cover her mouth, but her eyes were wide with astonishment as she stared at Fu Rongchen.
Fu Rongchen paused, his handsome face slightly flushed. Seeing her reaction, he felt that he was not being a gentleman and couldn't help but feel a little guilty.
He just couldn't help himself, and then...
He clenched his fingers slightly, somewhat afraid to look into her eyes.
After thinking for a moment, he turned around and walked quickly forward.
After he left, Shangguan Yanran lowered her hand. Thinking about what had just happened, she couldn't help but smack her lips and mutter to herself, "I don't seem to feel anything."
She could hardly believe it; her first kiss was gone just like that…
However, she wasn't angry; she just gained a deeper understanding of Fu Rongchen.
Fu Rongchen was not the gentleman she had imagined.
That behavior just now could be described as thuggish.
She pursed her lips, quickened her pace, caught up with Fu Rongchen, and grabbed his sleeve.
"Fu Rongchen?"
Fu Rongchen turned his head and looked at the blush on the girl's face. He couldn't help but think of what had just happened and felt a little uncomfortable. "Hmm?"
"Lower your head a little." Shangguan Yanran blinked, her eyes sparkling with a captivating allure.
Fu Rongchen lowered his head as instructed.
Suddenly, Shangguan Yanran reached out and hooked her arm around his neck, then quickly leaned in and pressed her pink lips to his.
"Boom!" Fu Rongchen felt something explode in his head, and he froze, staring blankly at the girl in front of him.
Seeing him stunned, Shangguan Yanran's eyes flickered. Thinking of the scenes described in the storybooks, she suddenly took a bold step forward.
She wanted to see what it felt like.
