Fortunately, Fu Rongchen quickly stepped back.
Seeing the girl's dazed expression, a hint of pleasure flashed across his face.
He then took her hand instead, saying, "Xuzhou also has many famous snacks; I'll take you to try them."
Shangguan Yanran's attention was immediately drawn to the snack he was eating, and she couldn't help but drool, forgetting that he was still holding her hand.

Fu Rongchen glanced down at her, his smile deepening. He reached down, took the bundle from her shoulder, and slung it over his own. "Let's go then."
When Shangguan Yanran saw this, she was genuinely taken aback. His movements were so natural and casual, it was as if the two of them were already very close.
Thinking of this, she pursed her lips slightly, a sweet feeling rising in her heart. She lowered her head, and when she saw him holding her hand, she felt an even more wonderful feeling.
She knew it wasn't right for them to hold hands like this, but she couldn't bear to pull her hand away.

Shangguan Yanran had no choice but to give up.
It was nearly noon when Shangguan Yanran returned to the government office with Fu Rongchen.
After wandering around, she discovered that the snacks in Xuzhou were especially delicious, unlike anything she had ever tried before, so she ended up eating quite a bit.
Looking at the girl with a troubled expression, Fu Rongchen's eyes showed affection. Seeing that she was really uncomfortable, he took her arm and said, "There are some fun places ahead. I'll take you for a walk and help you digest your food."

Shangguan Yanran thought for a moment, then quickly changed her mind, "Never mind, you shouldn't refuse." She wasn't going to save him any money.
Fu Rongchen was somewhat helpless, but he still agreed, "Okay."
The two strolled around for a while, and when they returned to the government office, Shangguan Yanran finally felt much better.
She followed Fu Rongchen into the government office and asked excitedly, "Where will I stay tonight?" She had never stayed in a government office before.
Fu Rongchen said gently, "Come with me."
Shangguan Yanran thought of something and said somewhat shyly, "You must be very busy. You've already spent a lot of time with me today, so you don't need to stay with me anymore. Just send someone to take me there."
"No rush." Fu Rongchen smiled and suddenly reached out to put his arm around her shoulder, pulling her into his embrace. "I'll take you there."
