Chapter 133 Li Weiwei in Disgrace

Hu Lai leaned against the car window and patted the glass, "Hey, hey, open the door, I haven't gotten in yet."

Nan Zhi and Qin Xi'er couldn't help but smile when they saw Hu Lai's face pressed against the passenger side window. The driver glanced back and asked Shen Xingmian for permission.

Shen Xingmian raised her hand and pinched the bridge of her nose, saying, "Open the door for him."

The car lock opened, and Hu Lai immediately opened the door and sat in the passenger seat.

The first thing I did was look back and think, "You actually intend to abandon me and leave? How heartless and ungrateful!"

"......."

Nanzhi looked at him with a smile, "We really didn't mean it, don't be angry."

Hu Lai glanced at her, snorted coldly, turned around and fastened her seatbelt first, "I don't believe it, you must have done it on purpose."

Nan Zhi: "...No, that's not true."

Hu Lai didn't believe it. "If you admit it willingly, I'll respect you as a man."

Nanzhi: "......"

After a long silence, she helplessly spread her hands. "Hu Lai, first of all, I am a woman, not a man."

As she spoke, she raised an eyebrow at him, "Secondly, we really didn't mean to, we just forgot you existed."

Hu Lai: "..."

This explanation is worse than no explanation at all.

His gaze fell on Shen Xingmian's face. He glanced at himself and lowered his head, then looked at Qin Xier. The girl was covering her mouth, her shoulders shaking, clearly trying to suppress a laugh.

Hu Lai: "..." He was about to question the meaning of life again.

Too angry to speak, Hu Lai didn't look back for the rest of the journey.

Nan Zhi and Qin Xi'er were chatting. The manor was quite far from the city. On the way, she suddenly saw a figure in front of a hotel.

"parking."

Upon hearing this, the driver smoothly brought the car to a stop on the side of the road near the hotel.

Nanzhi rolled down the car window and took a closer look at the person who came out of the hotel, dressed in a formal suit.

"Zhizhi, isn't this... Li Weiwei?"

Nan Zhi curled her lips into a smile and said to Li Weiwei, who was not far away:

"Hey, what are you doing?"

Li Weiwei had just come out of the hotel when she heard Nan Zhi's voice. She stopped in her tracks, looked up, and saw Nan Zhi's face.

Li Weiwei glared at her angrily, "What's it to you?"

After saying that, she was about to leave. Nan Zhi's mind was in turmoil. No wonder she didn't see Li Weiwei with Lian Chuchu today. She must be here. She looked a bit disheveled.

"Are we going to a cocktail party hosted by the Lin and Lian families?"

Li Weiwei paused for a moment, then continued walking forward. She couldn't let Nan Zhi see her in such a disheveled state.

"Hey, I'm in a good mood today, so I might as well tell you. The party is at a manor in the suburbs."

After saying that, Nanzhi closed the window, sat down, and then the driver started the car.

"Zhizhi, why did you tell her? She's so awful."

Qin Xi'er still remembers how Li Weiwei acted arrogantly, relying on Lian Chuchu's support.

Nanzhi smiled and said, "I'm in a good mood."

After saying that, Nan Zhi lowered her head to think. In the end, Li Weiwei was just Lian Chuchu's lapdog. In fact, she was really sincere towards Lian Chuchu.

Now it seems that either Li Weiwei remembered the address wrong, or Lian Chuchu gave her the wrong address.

Watching Nan Zhi's car speed away, Li Weiwei gritted her teeth and stomped her foot angrily.

She had just entered the hotel and said there was a cocktail party, but the waiter told her there wasn't one at all, and looked at her like she was an idiot.

Li Weiwei's family wasn't poor, so how could she tolerate this kind of treatment? She left the hotel looking rather disheveled.

Who would have thought she would run into Nan Zhi, her nemesis? Li Weiwei stood there, thought for a moment, and then dialed Lian Chuchu's number. The address for today was given to her by Lian Chuchu, and she had never doubted it.

It took a while for Lian Chuchu to answer the phone.

"Weiwei, why aren't you here yet? The party is almost over."

Lian Chuchu's voice carried a hint of anxiety, "I was just about to call you. I was a bit busy and couldn't find the time."

Li Weiwei felt relieved, but her voice choked with emotion, "Sister Chuchu, I'm at the hotel, but they said there's no cocktail party here."

Across from her, Lian Chuchu's lips curled into a smile, then she frowned and said with concern:

"Huh? What hotel? We're having our event at a manor in the suburbs. Did you get the address wrong?"

Li Weiwei was taken aback, and indeed suspected that she had remembered the address wrong.

Seeing that she didn't speak, Lian Chuchu said with a hint of apology:

"Maybe I didn't explain it clearly. I'm really sorry, Weiwei. I'll share the address with you in a bit. Please do it as soon as possible."

In fact, people are still having a lively discussion at the party. The departure of a few people will not affect their participation. Some are discussing business and cooperation, while others are discussing the four great families.

Upon hearing Lian Chuchu's words, Li Weiwei's face lit up with a smile, and she nodded.

"Okay, Sister Chuchu, I'll be right there."

After hanging up the phone, Lian Chuchu smiled, shared her location with Li Weiwei, and then walked into the crowd.

On the other side, Lian Jin pulled Lin Youyou away from the manor, and the car drove all the way into the city.

"Daddy, where are you taking me? Aren't you going to leave Zhizhi and Xier behind?"

Following Lin Youyou's words, Lian Jin steadily parked the car on the side of the road, his grip on the steering wheel tightening.

Then came endless silence.

Lin Youyou glanced at him, puzzled, "Dad, are you sad? Don't be sad, I will have my children take care of you in your old age."
