As she spoke, she patted her chest, as if to assure herself.
Upon hearing this, even Jin didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
After a moment, he turned to look at her and asked, "Aren't you scared?"
Lin Youyou: "Huh?"
"You just stood in front of me, weren't you scared?"
Lian Jin asked again, and Lin Youyou rolled her eyes and then nodded, "Of course I'm scared. My dad and my brother are really scary when they get angry, and so is your dad. I'm quite afraid of them too."
Upon hearing her description, Lian Jin chuckled and said helplessly:
"If you're afraid, why are you still standing firmly in front of me?"
Lin Youyou didn't think twice and immediately said:
"Because you are my father, of course I have to stand on your side."
Lian Jin: "......" I don't want to be your father.
"Is that all?" Lian Jin's lips tightened, and a glimmer of hope appeared in his deep eyes.
However, Lin Youyou couldn't see it, so she shook her head, "Of course not."
Lian Jin couldn't help but grip the steering wheel tightly, a look of excitement appearing in his eyes.
Then Lin Youyou spoke up with a grin:
"Actually, I just want to repay your kindness. I know that such a simple action is not enough to repay you for saving my life, but I will repay as much as I can. If I do it many times, I will be able to repay you for a lot of your kindness."
Her eyes were bright and sparkling, her short hair just barely covered her round face, and her red lips moved as she spoke, making perfect sense.
But Lian Jin didn't feel happy. His previously bright eyes dimmed considerably, and he continued earnestly:
"If it weren't for the debt of gratitude, would you still have done this?"
