Chapter 14 Marriage

"Lu Feng, go and get those two sandalwood boxes from my dressing table," Song Lanzhi said to Lu Feng.

"Mom, what does Tuanzi usually eat?" Lin Wanwan asked Song Lanzhi while teasing her child.

Song Lanzhi was overjoyed to hear her call her "Mom" and quickly replied, "Milk, we'll buy him milk, malted milk powder, and rice cereal."

Lin Wanwan thought for a moment, "Then when Tuanzi comes with us to Gansu Province, could you please send us some malted milk powder? It might be hard to buy there." Lin Wanwan saw Lu Feng coming and pulled him aside to ask, "Can we buy milk there? Tuanzi will need to drink milk."

Lu Feng handed the box to Song Lanzhi, sat down next to Lin Wanwan, and hugged his son tightly.

The child started crying as soon as she picked him up. Lin Wanwan looked at him in surprise, "Lu Feng, you didn't secretly pinch his bottom, did you? Why does he cry as soon as you pick him up?"

Song Lanzhi laughed, "I wasn't lying to you, was I? He cries as soon as he holds the baby. Normally, no one but me and the nanny can hold him. He seems to have a special connection with you; he smiles whenever he sees you."

Seeing Tuanzi reaching out to him repeatedly, Lin Wanwan immediately picked him up. As soon as Tuanzi was in her arms, he hugged her neck tightly and stopped crying and fussing.

Seeing the child like this, Lu Feng shook his head helplessly and said, "I've never hit him. He's always been like this."

Lin Wanwan teased the child, "You don't know I'm going to be his mother, do you? That's why you smile when you see me."

"Wanwan, come and see this. Give the child to Auntie," Song Lanzhi waved to her.

Lin Wanwan quickly hugged the child tightly, saying, "No need, no need, I'll hold him." Then she sat down next to Song Lanzhi.

Song Lanzhi opened the box. "Some of these were prepared beforehand, and some I added last night. Take a look and see if you like them."

Lin Wanwan took a look and her eyes lit up. "I love them! They're all so beautiful. These bracelets look so expensive. Can I have them all?"

"Here you go, I picked them all out myself, just don't mind them," Song Lanzhi said, pleased to see that she liked them.

"Thank you, Mom," Lin Wanwan said happily. These things were worth a lot of money. Lin Wanwan was now rich and would be a wealthy woman.

"Mrs. Song, Mrs. Lin is here," the aunt said as she walked in.

Lin Wanwan stood up with the child in her arms, but Lu Feng stopped her, saying, "I'll take the baby; you sit down."

Song Lan stood up and said, "I'll go with you to pick up your Aunt He." Lin Wanwan followed them, carrying the child.

Seeing her following him, Lu Feng had no choice but to support her from behind with one hand, saying, "He's heavier now, be careful not to hurt your back."

Lin Wanwan nodded, "I understand, Lu Feng. I'm an adult woman, how much can he weigh?"

Song Lanzhi overheard the young couple's conversation from the front, but pretended not to hear it; she had never seen her son act like this before.

Not long ago, he seemed to look down on Lin Wanwan, but since he returned from breaking off the engagement, he not only didn't break it off, but also agreed to get married.

However, it seems that Wanwan is indeed a good child. It looks like she really likes Tuanzi, so Tuanzi probably won't suffer much if she stays with her in the future.

"Yu Mei, come in quickly. It's sunny, so come inside and rest. Let's chat for a while, and I'll have the driver pick you up when you're about to get off work," Song Lanzhi said, taking her arm.

“Tuanzi, call her Grandma, this is Grandma,” Lin Wanwan said, holding the child up to show her. “Mom, he’s so good, he smiles as soon as I hold him.”

"Oh my, this is the little dumpling. He looks just like Lu Feng. Grandma will give him a hug." He Yumei reached out to hug him, but the little dumpling didn't give her any face and just pouted and cried in He Yumei's arms.

Lin Wanwan quickly reached out and took him, "Tuanzi, you're really not giving me any face, can't even Grandma hold you?"

Lin Wanwan leaned close to Lu Feng's ear and said, "I don't think Tuanzi is like you at all. I think he's more like me."

He Yumei, who was in front, couldn't help but laugh when she heard this. She turned around and glared at her, "How can you be so shameless? It's not your child, so what does it have to do with you?"

Lin Wanwan shamelessly said, "Doesn't it look like him? It looks just like me. He's as pretty as me, not like Lu Feng at all."

Even Lu Feng laughed this time. "Really? Let me see," Lu Feng said, picking up the child and lifting him up high.

Seeing that Tuanzi was about to cry, Lin Wanwan immediately leaned on Lu Feng's shoulder to coax him, "Don't cry, give Daddy a smile. This is Daddy! Don't cry, Daddy is so handsome, why are you crying?"

Whether Tuanzi understood or was simply being polite to Lin Wanwan, she immediately burst out laughing, "Lu Feng, bounce him around and tease him a bit."

Hearing her words, Lu Feng lifted the child up and hefted her slightly. The little girl giggled and reached out to Lu Feng. Lu Feng quickly took the child into his arms.

Song Lanzhi looked on happily and said, "This child wouldn't let Lu Feng hold him from the moment he was born, no matter how we coaxed him. But he's so close to Wanwan, and now Wanwan is making him let Lu Feng hold him. It seems that Tuanzi and Wanwan are indeed destined for each other."

“Never mind her, she’s always acting crazy. Let’s go inside and have our own conversation. Let the three of them have their own fun, and we’ll be happy to have some peace and quiet,” He Yumei said, linking arms with her.

"Come sit in my room and let Mom and the others chat," Lu Feng asked her, turning his head to the side.

Lin Wanwan nodded and said, "Okay, it's a bit hot, you hold Tuanzi."

Once in the room, Lu Feng put the child on the bed and let him crawl on his own. Lin Wanwan asked him, "When are we going to Gansu Province?"

"We're getting married tomorrow. We'll stay home with our parents for a while, and then leave in four days," Lu Feng replied.

"You're not going to take a hard seat there, are you?" Lin Wanwan stared at him with wide eyes.

Lu Feng chuckled and said, "No, I've already asked someone to buy sleeper tickets for us. It's too hard for you and the child to sit in hard seats."

"I'm not a spoiled brat," Lin Wanwan muttered softly. "Tuanzi, you're the spoiled brat. Your dad says you're a spoiled brat. He looks down on us, mother and son. We're so pitiful."

Lu Feng found it amusing and went to sit down next to her on the bed. "When have I ever complained about you? Don't tell our son."

Lin Wanwan looked up at him and said, "Honey, Mom is quite wealthy. Those pieces of jewelry are very expensive. Why did Mom give me so many?"

Lu Feng chuckled softly, then lowered his head and kissed the tip of her nose. "Because I like you, Mom loves everything about you."

Lin Wanwan was stunned for a moment by his kiss, and then said, "You're being a pervert, Lu Feng."

“It’s not illegal for me to kiss my own wife,” Lu Feng said, looking down at her.

Lin Wanwan blushed at his words and could only try to coax the little dumpling on the bed, saying, "He's so cute, and he doesn't cry or fuss."

“He only doesn’t cry or make a fuss when he’s with you. He has a terrible temper. If you don’t do what he wants, he’ll cry and make a fuss. My mom and aunt take turns coaxing him every day. But he’s really well-behaved when he’s with you,” Lu Feng said, watching the two of them interact.

She enjoyed the meal very much; the Lu family's aunt was a great cook, and the food was especially to her liking.

Lin Wanwan ate too much without realizing it. "Oh no, Lu Feng, my stomach is bulging."

Lin Wanwan looked down at her stomach. "Oh no, I'm wearing a cheongsam. It looks so ugly."
