Chapter 16 Daily Life

"You little ingrate, who ate the food I served this afternoon?" Lu Feng said, serving her a bowl of soup.

Lin Wanwan sipped her chicken soup and said, "I don't know, I fell asleep this afternoon."

"Mom, where's Tuanzi? I haven't seen him all day," Lin Wanwan asked Song Lanzhi.

At this moment, the nanny came over with the child in her arms. "Mrs. Lu, the child keeps crying and nothing we do can soothe him."

The aunt walked towards Song Lanzhi, but the child rushed towards Lin Wanwan. After finishing the last sip of soup, Lin Wanwan immediately reached out to Tuanzi, "Give it to me, give it to me, Tuanzi, come here, Mommy will hold you."

Tuanzi seemed to understand, stopped crying, and started giggling.

Lin Wanwan held him while he ate, and Tuanzi was very well-behaved, not making a fuss or grabbing the bowls and chopsticks on the table. He was incredibly well-behaved.

“He does like you, he’s so well-behaved in your arms,” Song Lanzhi said, relieved to see how well they got along. “Wanwan, why don’t you not go to the army? The conditions there aren’t good. Your mother can take better care of you at home.”

Just as Lin Wanwan was about to refuse, Lu Feng said, "Mom, she's my wife, of course she'll be with me, and I'll take good care of her."

Song Lanzhi looked at him irritably and said, "The conditions over there are bad, how can you bear to let Wanwan go and suffer with you?"

Hearing her say that, Lu Feng pursed his lips and remained silent.

Seeing him like this, Lin Wanwan found it amusing. "Mom, it's okay. Good days are made by people. Besides, Lu Feng is over there. If he can do it, so can I."

Lu Feng's expression softened slightly after hearing her say that.

Song Lanzhi nodded. "If you need anything, just call home and Mom will send it to you."

“Okay, thank you, Mom,” Lin Wanwan said happily.

"Get up early tomorrow and go back to see your parents. You won't be staying for more than a few days, so go back and visit them often. I'll prepare some things for you to take with you these next few days," Song Lanzhi instructed.

Lin Wanwan asked her, "Can I bring Tuanzi with me?"

Song Lanzhi thought about it and decided that she could raise Tuanzi and bring him along in the future, since Lu Feng would be there anyway.

“Okay, but he still needs to have his diapers changed. You can have Lu Feng change them, and I’ll have the nanny put them on for you all. Spend more time with your mother at home,” Song Lanzhi instructed.

"Okay, Mom," Lin Wanwan was beautiful and kept calling her "Mom," which made Song Lanzhi very happy and satisfied with this daughter-in-law.

“I’ve prepared gifts for your parents. You and Lu Feng should remember to bring them over tomorrow,” Song Lanzhi said, serving her another bowl of chicken soup.

Lin Wanwan sipped her soup, her eyes half-closed in comfort. "Mom, the chicken soup is so delicious."

"Then I'll have Auntie cook another pot tomorrow, and you can drink it when you get back."

Seeing Lin Wanwan playing with her child on the other side of the sofa, Song Lanzhi pulled her son aside and whispered, "We're going to Wanwan's house tomorrow. Don't be too naughty tonight, or you'll oversleep."

Lu Feng blushed, touched his nose, and said, "I know, Mom."

Song Lanzhi glanced at him without saying a word, then walked over to Lin Wanwan and said, "Give me the child, he needs to sleep. Tuanzi, go to sleep with Grandma."

Lin Wanwan was a little surprised, "Going to bed so early?"

“We still need to give him a bath. He played in the water for ages, and by the time we finished cleaning him up, it was already very late,” Song Lanzhi said, holding the child and coaxing him. “You should go wash up too, don’t stay up too late, we’re going back to Wanwan’s house tomorrow.”

Lin Wanwan blushed, nodded, and went out.

Lu Feng followed her inside. "Aren't you going to take a shower?"

Lin Wanwan turned around and glared at him, "Was Mom just making fun of me? It's all your fault!"

Lu Feng hugged her. "Okay, it's all my fault. Go take a shower and go to bed early."

"Hey, Lu Feng, what are you doing? Don't be a pervert! I'm calling for help!!"

Lu Feng wouldn't let them go. "Go ahead and yell, let Mom come help you?"

Seeing that he was unmoved, Lin Wanwan hugged his neck and said coquettishly, "Honey, we have to get up early tomorrow, I'm so sleepy."

Lu Feng didn't say anything, he just kissed her, "You've slept all day, will you be able to sleep tonight?"

Lin Wanwan was breathless from his kisses. "I don't want to get pregnant yet. What if I do?"

Lu Feng then released her, looked down into her eyes, and asked, "Why don't you want to get pregnant?"

“Lu Feng, I’m only 18 years old. It’s not suitable for me to have children yet. Besides, Tuanzi is so young. I want to wait until he’s older before having children. Otherwise, I’m afraid he’ll be sad,” Lin Wanwan said earnestly, hugging his neck.

Lu Feng felt that she was even better than he had imagined. Without saying a word, he lowered his head to kiss her, his hands also busy.

Lin Wanwan hurriedly patted him, and Lu Feng whispered hoarsely in her ear, "I'll be careful, you won't get pregnant."

Lin Wanwan only knew that Lu Feng was very different from the night of their wedding. He was very gentle, which was also unbearable. Lin Wanwan whined all night, and Lu Feng couldn't stand it. He thought she was so fond of acting cute.

The next day, Lin Wanwan woke up thirsty. She looked at the person next to her and bit his shoulder.

Lu Feng woke up with a muffled groan, wrapped his arms around her waist, and gently patted her back. "Did you vent your anger?"

"I was like that last night and you still came? You're inhuman!!!" Lin Wanwan said defiantly and hit him.

Lu Feng chuckled softly, rolled over, hugged her, and nuzzled against her. "Want to get up?"

"I'm not getting up, go by yourself," Lin Wanwan said angrily, pushing him away.

Lu Feng just hugged her and smiled without saying anything, "Then let's continue sleeping. If you don't go, I won't go either."

Seeing his hands getting restless, Lin Wanwan immediately pushed him away and sat up, saying, "Get up, get up right now, get up quickly."

Seeing her laughing so hard, Lu Feng got up and kissed the mole under her eye.

Lin Wanwan pushed him away and said, "Lu Feng, are you a pervert? You kept kissing this mole last night. Do you believe I'll go get it removed in a bit?"

Lu Feng pinched her cheek. "You're not allowed to go. Get up quickly. Your new cheongsam will be delivered today. Don't you want to see it?"

Lin Wanwan slowly got out of bed, her body aching, her legs sore. Lu Feng was simply a beast, not human.

Thinking about last night, Lin Wanwan blushed slightly.

After washing up and putting on light makeup, Lin Wanwan turned to Lu Feng and asked, "Where's my cheongsam, you liar?"

Just as he finished speaking, there was a knock on the door. "Lu Feng, Madam asked me to deliver the cheongsam. I had your Uncle Li pick it up early this morning."

Lu Feng opened the door to take the things, "Thank you, Aunt Li. Thank you and Uncle Li for your help."

"Oh, why are you being so polite? Come out and eat!" Aunt Li waved her hand and turned to leave.

Lu Feng took out the cheongsam. "Which one should I wear? I'm not a liar, am I?"

Lin Wanwan reached out and hooked her arm around his neck, kissing the corner of his mouth. "No, no, how could my husband be a liar?"

Lu Feng hugged her and patted her bottom, "Don't be so coquettish, you just said I was a liar."

Lin Wanwan lowered her hand and glared at him; this man couldn't be serious for even a minute.

She chose a white, round-neck, short-sleeved cheongsam with a pearl hanging in the middle of the collar and embroidery on the upper body. Lin Wanwan couldn't recognize what it was, but it looked very beautiful.
