Chapter 17 Daily Life 2

Lin Wanwan finished getting ready, looked in the mirror and was very satisfied. She then turned to call Lu Feng.

"Aren't you going to wear some jewelry? Didn't Mom give you two boxes?" Lu Feng asked her.

Lin Wanwan quickly shook her head, "No, no, those pieces of jewelry are so valuable. If I accidentally break them, I'll be heartbroken."

Lu Feng chuckled, "Those are meant to be worn. It would be a waste to leave them lying around. Where are they? I'll help you choose."

Lin Wanwan pointed to the cabinet, "Why are there four boxes?"

“Those two were given to me by my mom. My mom and your mom are really good friends. Even the things they gave me were similar. However, the medicine your mom gave me was much more expensive,” Lin Wanwan opened the box to show him. “Do you think they’re similar?”

Lu Feng picked out a jade-green bracelet and a pair of simple pearl earrings from the jewelry box given to him by Song Lanzhi.

When Lin Wanwan saw him take the bracelet, she immediately covered it with her hand, saying, "What are you doing? Do you know how expensive this is? If you dare to break it, I'll never forgive you."

Lu Feng took her hand and put the pen on her wrist. "You should wear this. It looks good on your white wrist."

Lin Wanwan looked at it and thought it was indeed beautiful. She made up her mind and said, "Wear it, wear it! It's so beautiful, it smells like money."

Lu Feng hugged her and laughed nonstop, "Why are you so greedy?"

“What’s wrong with being a money-grubber? I call it building a close relationship with money,” Lin Wanwan said, nestled in his arms. “Honey, I’m hungry. Let’s go out for dinner.”

Lu Feng kissed the mole under her eye. "Let's go," Lin Wanwan pushed him away. "Lu Feng, you kissed this mole until it turned red when I was putting on makeup. Do you have any fetishes? Tell me quietly."

"Stop talking nonsense, let's go eat."

After the two finished their meal, they went out with the child in their arms, and Lu Feng followed behind them, also carrying the child.

"Mom~~ Mom~~ I'm back, Mom~" Lin Wanwan called out as she walked.

He Yumei stood up and walked out, saying, "Ouch, my ears are sore from all the noise. Why are you making such a fuss?"

Lin Wanwan threw herself into her arms, "Mom, did you miss me?"

“I haven’t seen you for a day, what have I missed about you?” He Yumei reached for the child. “Give it to me, I’ll hold it.”

Tuanzi wouldn't let her, and pounced on Lin Wanwan, "Oh, Mommy's going to hug you! When will you call me Mommy, Tuanzi?"

“He’s still young, it will be another two months,” He Yumei said, but before she could finish, Tuanzi called out, “Mama~ Mama~”.

Even He Yumei was stunned, "Just how big is Tuanzi?"

"Nine months, Tuanzi, what did you just say?" Lu Feng leaned closer and asked him.

Lin Wanwan was stunned. She put the child on the sofa, looked at him, and asked, "Tuanzi, what did you just call me?"

The little dumpling climbed onto her, hugged her neck, and called out again, "Mommy~"

Lin Wanwan turned around and blinked at He Yumei and Lu Feng, "They called out, didn't they? I didn't hear wrong, did I?"

Lu Feng sat down next to her, put his arm around her, and said, "That's right, I'll call you Mom now."

"Lu Feng, I'm a mother at eighteen! I'm so amazing!" Lin Wanwan looked at the child and then at him.

Lu Feng kissed the top of her head. "Yeah, you're really amazing."

Seeing that the two of them were talking quietly and getting along very well, He Yumei felt completely at ease and sat to the side without saying a word.

At first, I thought my daughter was just using a feigned retreat to advance, marrying Lu Feng and then causing a scene at the Lu family home. But I never expected that their relationship would improve so quickly after only a few days.

She also saw the bracelet on her daughter's wrist; it must have been given to her by Song Lanzhi. The bracelet was worth a lot of money, and judging from Lu Feng's expression, he also liked his daughter.

"Where's Dad?" Lin Wanwan asked He Yumei, turning her head to the side.

“Your dad went to buy you some things. You’re leaving in a few days, and he said he was going to buy some things,” He Yumei replied while knitting a sweater.

"Why knit a scarf in the middle of summer?" Lin Wanwan asked, puzzled. "Tell Dad not to buy too many. We still have to take care of the child and don't want to carry so much stuff."

"Thank you, Mom and Dad. It's really inconvenient to buy anything over there," Lu Feng said, thanking He Yumei.

“Listen to Lu Feng. You’ll be taking the child with you, and it won’t be convenient to buy anything there. Don’t be stubborn,” He Yumei said irritably. “I’ll knit sweaters for you and Lu Feng, and also make dumplings. It’s cold and windy there.”

"Thank you, Mom," Lin Wanwan said, holding her child. "Tuanzi, quickly thank Grandma."

"Mom~" Tuanzi hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Lin Wanwan was so amused that she leaned against Lu Feng like she had no bones, teasing Tuanzi.

Lu Feng put his arm around her from behind and watched her play with the child.

Lin Xiaohai walked in and saw his sister leaning against his brother-in-law like she had no bones. He was speechless. "Don't you have any bones? Can't you sit up straight?!"

Lin Wanwan looked up at him and said, "It's none of your business. What's wrong with me leaning on my husband? I'm not leaning on someone else's husband."

He held the child in his arms and said, "Tuanzi, come here, this is your little uncle. Let your little uncle hold you, don't cry."

Lin Xiaohai stared at the child in his arms, completely frozen. "Oh dear, take her away quickly, sis~ sis~ sis~"

Lin Wanwan ignored him, leaned against Lu Feng, hugged his arm, and yawned.

"Try teasing him, he's very well-behaved," Lin Wanwan yawned again.

Lu Feng looked down at her and asked softly, "Are you sleepy? Do you want to take a nap?"

Lin Rui looked up at him and rolled her eyes. "Whose fault is it?"

Lu Feng didn't answer, he just chuckled softly.

Seeing her like this, He Yumei didn't point it out. "If you're sleepy, go take a nap. I'll wake you up when your father comes back."

"No, I'm leaving in a couple of days, and I want to spend some time with you," Lin Wanwan said lazily.

He Yumei didn't say anything more and played with Tuanzi with her son. Lin Wanwan was really sleepy, so she hugged Lu Feng's arm and fell asleep.
