The meal was a mixed bag of emotions, with some happy and others sad. When Lin Wanwan was leaving, Xu Zhang held onto her hand tightly, saying, "Stay home tonight and go back tomorrow."
“Aunt Xu, I can come again tomorrow. It’s not far, only a 20-minute walk. I’ll come every day from now on. I just don’t know if you and Uncle Gu will have time to pay attention to me,” Lin Wanwan said, linking her arm with hers.
"Then come to dinner tomorrow. You've tasted your cooking today, so come and try mine tomorrow," Xu Zhang said. He really couldn't bear to part with her. After so many years apart, he wished he could hold her and talk to her all night.
