Lu Zhaofeng didn't know where to take Mu Qianqian.
I simply took her for a casual stroll in the back mountain.
The bloodstains on the dry branches made Lu Zhaofeng's eyes narrow.
The sky gradually darkened.
A howl came from afar, sounding somewhat like a wolf's howl.
Lu Zhaofeng felt a chill run down his spine for no apparent reason.
"Let's go back. What if a little wolf jumps out from there and scares Qianqian to tears?" Lu Zhaofeng muttered to himself as he carried Mu Qianqian toward the temple.
Mu Qianqian: ? ? ?
What the heck?!
She'll be so scared she'll cry!
Are you kidding me?
Even a small wolf cub could scare her to tears.
This should be for this year.
The biggest joke she'd ever heard.
Second Uncle, if you're scared, just say so. Don't try to pin the blame on me; I won't take the fall.
[Even a little wolf cub can scare me!?]
Are you kidding me?
[Even if it were just a small wolf, or an entire pack, I would be fearless.]
I single-handedly took on the wolf pack.
[Defeat them soundly, turning wolves into barking dogs!]
Lu Zhaofeng swallowed hard.
He couldn't help but glance at Mu Qianqian in his arms.
really!
You have to watch your kids to brag.
If only she had lived a few more months.
No one would dare to say something so brazen.
She can take on a whole pack of wolves by herself!
They've gone from being wolves in the mouth to barking like dogs!
She was probably more likely to howl in fear.
"Are you kidding me?"
"How could I, a general who fears neither heaven nor earth, be afraid of a few wolves?"
"When hunting on the Bashang Grassland, I also came out on top and killed a deer."
Despite his inner grumbling, Lu Zhaofeng quickened his pace.
Mu Qianqian: ...
You said you weren't afraid.
Those legs are so honest.
late at night.
I changed my sleeping place.
Consort Shu did not sleep soundly.
I vaguely heard the roof tiles creaking.
She groggily opened her eyes and glanced towards the roof.
The creaking sound became clearer and clearer.
It was as if something was wandering around her meditation room.
Consort Shu's eyes widened in surprise, and her heart began to pound violently.
She thought of the time she had spoken with Master Wuyu that evening.
The little monk I saw being chased by wolves had his legs covered in blood.
Consort Shu broke out in a cold sweat.
She put on a long robe, walked to Mu Qianqian's bedside, and put the blanket that Mu Qianqian had kicked off back over her.
Mu Qianqian frowned slightly and turned over.
He didn't seem to be sleeping very soundly.
The creaking sound came from the roof again.
Consort Shu could no longer sleep and felt a sense of unease. "White Whale, Black Whale, are you outside?"
He heard his summons.
Bai Jing hurriedly pushed open the door and came in: "Your Highness, what's wrong?"
"I don't know what's wrong with this roof, it keeps creaking and making me uneasy." Consort Shu clutched her chest with one hand. "Could we go up and take a look, to see what's going on?"
"Yes, Your Majesty," White Whale said, and then left the room.
With a light leap, he landed directly on the roof, his toes lightly touching the roof beams, and circled the entire roof.
Beneath a half-broken tile, a pair of bright, sparkling eyes looked as if they had been startled.
It peeked out with shifty eyes and looked at the beluga whale.
The beluga whale pinched its ear with its fingertips and pulled it out from under the roof tiles: "You little rascal, so it was you who disturbed the Empress's peaceful sleep. Come with me to apologize to the Empress and suffer the consequences."
