Blood Shadow and Dark Moon Fairy exchanged a glance, then nodded in tacit agreement. They decided to eliminate the two patrolling soldiers first to avoid further trouble. So, they quietly left the tent and prepared to engage.
At this moment, a sudden commotion erupted outside. It turned out to be the soldiers who had been awakened running out of their tents, preparing to assemble. Dark Moon Fairy and Blood Shadow exchanged a glance, knowing they couldn't let these people discover their presence, so they decided to leave quickly.
Just as they were about to step out of the tent, they ran into the two patrolling soldiers. Dark Moon Fairy's heart tightened, but her face didn't show any panic. Instead, she cursed, "What a damn bad luck!"
While cursing, she unhesitatingly knocked one of the soldiers to the ground and dragged him into a nearby tent. Simultaneously, Blood Shadow also knocked out another soldier in perfect sync. The two of them coordinated perfectly, the entire process flowing smoothly.
Soon after, a large group of soldiers holding torches ran to the commander's tent. One of the squad leaders asked two patrolling soldiers, "Where are the enemy troops?"
The tall patrolman replied in a humming voice, "Captain! I was just seeing things! It was just a wild cat that ran into the commander's tent."
After hearing this explanation, the squad leader angrily stepped forward and kicked him, shouting, "Useless thing! Look carefully before you shout! If you do it again, you will be court-martialed!"
The patrolman nodded repeatedly in fear and apologized to the squad leader, who then turned and left with his men, cursing.
