Wei Shao watched Fei Luo finish a piece of cake. Just as he was about to show him something, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his stomach.

The blood drained from his face, he covered his left abdomen, and cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

Philo noticed his change and his face suddenly tightened. He stared at him closely, his anxiety and tension difficult to conceal.

"@#¥%?"

Wei Shao didn't understand and guessed that he was being asked what was wrong. He waved his hands despite the excruciating pain, gritted his teeth, curled up his body, and rested his forehead against the hard brick.

Most likely the problem was caused by eating those two bites of the cake.

Although he didn't want to admit it, his stomach was indeed so delicate that it disgusted him.

It felt like a sharp knife was stirring inside his stomach. His stomach was cramping violently and cold sweat was pouring out. He tried to press his abdomen with his hands to relieve the pain, but it was in vain.

There's no fucking stomach medicine in this damn place.

Philo bit his lip, and sat helplessly beside him, looking at the place where Wei Shao was covering his hand.

There was a struggle and hesitation in his eyes, but he finally reached out his hand and rubbed it carefully.

Wei Shao was almost out of strength from the pain. He neither dodged nor opened his eyes. His handsome face looked lifeless and frighteningly pale.

Philo slightly increased the intensity of the kneading motion, put his other hand on it as well, and put both hands together to knead and massage in circles.

The tense muscles under his palms relaxed slightly, but Philo did not stop.

It was completely dark, and Wei Shao leaned against the wall tiredly. Because he had not taken any medicine, the pain in his stomach was difficult to stop, but the continuous and rhythmic massage relieved the pain to some extent.

He didn't know how much time had passed before he began to feel sleepy. A mechanical voice in his head was calling him panicked, but his eyelids were heavy and he couldn't open them at all.

He fell asleep.

When he opened his eyes again, he was awakened by pain. The warm and strong palm on his abdomen disappeared, and he was lying on his bed.

This situation had formed a habit in him. He turned over reflexively, took out the stomach medicine from the bedside table, and swallowed it directly.

The feeling of the capsule stuck in his throat was uncomfortable. Wei Shao climbed up with weak hands and feet and poured himself a glass of water at the table.

After drinking it, his groggy head became completely clear.

Then his whole body stiffened.

He fell asleep in front of Philo's eyes... Didn't Philo see him disappear with his own eyes? !

Wei Shao's Adam's apple rolled and he called out to the system anxiously.

The strange black book on the desk lay motionless as if dead, with no way to respond to him.

Wei Shao licked his lips, thinking it should be okay...

-

Ever since he agreed to complete the task assigned by the system, Wei Shao has been carrying a large bag of snacks to school every day, and he also has to be on guard against those gluttons who steal his food.

The first to be affected was Song Tao, who had known him since childhood and was in the same class as him in high school.

After trying to steal food twice but Wei Shao opened his hand, Song Tao finally realized something was wrong. He looked at the neatly packed snacks, then at Wei Shao who was distracted by playing games and guarding against him, and asked suspiciously, "Are you in love?"

Wei Shao had his hands on a blind spot in the surveillance camera under the table. He was fighting one against three. Upon hearing the words, his hands trembled and he was instantly killed by the opponent's coordinated attack.

He took a deep breath, turned around and started to curse: "Tan your uncle? Get lost."

"You have quite a taste," Song Tao became even more excited. "Hey, which class is she from? Do you know her? Is she good-looking?"

Wei Shao groaned, unable to bear the annoyance, and put down his phone heavily: "Did I tell you that I don't fall in love too early?"

This is not a lie. Wei Shao and Song Tao have known each other since childhood. Song Tao knows that Wei Shao has a lot of bad habits, such as smoking and drinking, but he has never been particularly close to any member of the opposite sex.

Song Tao was puzzled: "Why do you carry so much food with you every day? I remember you don't like snacks?"

Wei Shao had already reopened the screen and opened a casual single-player game, poking at it intermittently with his fingers. He paused when he heard this.

"I have a kitten."

He said lazily.

-

The third time he entered the novel world, Wei Shao found that he was not near the broken wall, but in an unfamiliar environment.

The system's exasperated voice followed closely: [Do you know what you have done? ! 】

Wei Shao played dumb: [What? 】

The mechanical sound of the system revealed a hint of collapse: [You fell asleep in front of Philo last time! ! ! 】

Wei Shao touched his nose. He didn't want to do it, but Fei Luo's massage felt so good.

After all, the system called him at that time, and he felt a little guilty now: [What should I do? 】

The system said unhappily: [How should I know. 】

Wei Shao thought for a moment: [Did he do anything strange afterwards? 】

System: [No. 】

Wei Shao: [Did he take the initiative to inquire about anything? 】

System: […Neither. 】

[That’s it, then] Wei Shao concluded, [It’s no big deal, is there anyone here who believes in God? If I really can't, I'll lie to him and tell him I'm God. 】

The system was almost pissed off: [He is weak, not mentally retarded. Can you be more low-key? What if the plot is changed? 】

Wei Shao thought that this period of time had never appeared directly in the novel, so what could he change? However, he still responded with a perfunctory "hmm" twice.

[By the way, why is the landing point this time different from the previous two times? 】

Speaking of business, the system's attitude became better: [Each time you land, you will prioritize a safe area close to the protagonist. 】

In other words, Philo was around here.

Wei Shao quickly felt his pocket to confirm that the food had been successfully brought over, then asked the system: [Where is he? 】

The system said: [At your ten o'clock direction, four hundred meters away. 】

Upon hearing this, Wei Shao immediately turned around and prepared to go over there.

The system said: [Don’t go over there yet. 】

Wei Shao was puzzled: [Why? 】

The system said: [He had a conflict with other stray bugs and was fighting. 】

With Philo's tiny arms and legs, who could he beat? Let's just say it was planned.

Wei Shao frowned, and without even asking, he just quickened his pace and ran.

The system was startled: [What are you doing? 】

The wind whistled in Wei Shao's ears, but the stench continued to enter his nose.

This area is a slum, with dilapidated buildings crowded together. There are high and low ropes pulled between every two buildings, with membrane cloth placed on the ropes, and the corners of the cloth are pressed down with stones or construction debris to build a dwelling. Some are nearly two meters high, and some are only half a person's height.

Many ragged and even disabled insects were crowded on the road. When they saw the well-dressed Wei Shao, their eyes lit up with curiosity and greed, but they retreated away and only dared to watch from afar.

The system yelled in his head: [Are you crazy? Do you know how big the difference between you and these natives is? Aren’t you afraid of being skinned alive by them? 】

The system was not really meant to scare him. The first reaction of these savage natives when they saw Wei Shao was to retreat because they subconsciously thought that Wei Shao was a member of some local gang. Once they knew that Wei Shao had no one to rely on in this world, or even discovered that Wei Shao was an outsider, they would do anything.

Wei Shao certainly knew that he was different.

Along the way, he saw Zerg natives with hair of various colors, but he never saw black, which shows how special and eye-catching he was.

He did not answer the system, but walked quickly. A burst of noise passed through the crowded building and into his ears. Wei Shao turned the corner and finally saw Philo who was blocked in the corner by four or five big children.

Wei Shao's arrival temporarily diverted their attention, and they looked at him with vigilance and fear.

The smallest of the bugs was about the same size as Philo, and the largest was a little bigger than Wei Shao.

The system sensed Wei Shao's intention and said sternly: [Wei Shao, you cannot change what the protagonist has to experience. This is his fate. 】

Wei Shao didn't say anything or move, his eyes fixed on the thin figure.

Philo's forehead was still bleeding, and in his hand was a sharp, bloody stone.

At this age, he should be growing, but from the first time I saw him until now, he hasn't changed at all, except for his skinny appearance, as if he had been forgotten by time.

When he saw Wei Shao appear, he still held the stone tightly, his lips were cold and bloodless, and he did not ask for help.

Seeing that Wei Shao had no intention of coming forward, several insects thought he was just passing by, so they withdrew their gazes and continued to stare at Fei Luo fiercely.

Their situation was not much better. There were several bleeding scratches on the exposed rough skin. Especially the largest insect, there was a hideous long cut on its neck, which was made by Philo with a stone. It almost took half his life.

At this moment, his facial features were distorted by anger, and a few rude curses rolled out of his throat. Soon, several hands held down Philo's limbs forcefully. He punched Philo's lower abdomen. Philo whined in pain and his body slid to the ground.

He was still not satisfied, so he snatched the stone from Philo's hand and stabbed it hard into Philo's throat.

The severe pain in his abdomen made Philo curl up on the ground, and he had no strength to hide.

Just as the sharp stone was about to pierce his throat, a hand reached out and firmly grasped the stone.

The hand was actually scratched by the stone, and a little blood seeped out from between the fingers.

Philo stared blankly, his eyes slowly moving from the white and bony hand to Wei Shao's face.

Wei Shao just glanced at him quickly, exerted force with his arm, and twisted the insect's arm in half.

The insect was caught off guard by Wei Shao's attack, and he didn't expect Wei Shao to be so strong. He broke his arm with one move. He tried to retreat wailing, but was dragged back by Wei Shao's collar, hit hard in the stomach with his knee, and thrown to the ground and kicked hard in severe pain and nausea.

When the other insects saw that their boss was beaten without any chance to fight back, they immediately scattered like birds and beasts.

Wei Shao picked up the half-dead insect on the ground, tied its hands behind its back, and held it in front of Philo, looking at him.

He couldn't speak the language here, and the system was so angry at him that it disappeared. He couldn't verbally ask Philo what he planned to do, so he could only signal with his eyes.

Not knowing whether Philo understood, he picked up a stone from the ground and walked up to the insect.

The insect made a lot of noises from its mouth. Wei Shao couldn't understand what they were, but he could guess that it was probably begging for mercy.

Fei Luo raised his head and looked at Wei Shao. Because of his movements, the blood on his forehead flowed down along his brow bone and slid across the corner of his eye like a drop of bloody tear.

Wei Shao raised his chin, indicating that he could solve it himself.

Philo was silent for two seconds and uttered a word.

Wei Shao frowned.

Philo probably realized that he couldn't understand what was being said, so he pointed directly at the insect's hand.

The insect shuddered, looked at Shao pleadingly, and muttered to itself.

Wei Shao remained expressionless, but was wondering in his heart: Could it be that Filo wanted him to cripple this insect's hand?

Although it was a bit cruel...but this insect was originally trying to kill Philo, and this place was in such a mess, it seemed not too much to cripple one of its hands.

Philo walked around the insect and squatted down. Following Wei Shao's movements, he pried the insect's fingers apart amidst the howling of ghosts and wolves. He raised the hand holding the stone high up, and then dropped it heavily, cutting a gash in the palm of his hand.

This was not what Wei Shao and the insect had expected. The insect knelt on the ground in shock, breathing heavily.

Fei Luo stood up and tugged at Wei Shao's wrist, as if urging him to let go.

Wei Shao then relaxed, and the insect did not dare to stay any longer and fled in panic.

Wei Shao slowed down and calmed down, and was about to take out the food from his pocket and give it to Feiluo, but Feiluo took his hand away.

Philo pried open his fingers with a little force, revealing the wound on the palm of his hand, and stared at it silently.

Wei Shao thought the child might be feeling a little guilty and wanted to say something, but his level of insect language was not enough, so he could only try to use his other hand to indicate that he was fine.

But Philo seemed to see nothing of it.

He lowered his eyes to look at the hideous wound that was still bleeding for a while, then suddenly lowered his head and licked it gently.
