Chapter 7 Single Serving
Assistant Yin went to deliver something to Gu Jue. Gu Heng got out of the car. He was tall and had long legs, and his aura was imposing. Chu Xiang suddenly had to look up at him and couldn't help but straighten her back.
Gu Heng took out a card and handed it to her, "Miss Chu, this is an apology."
Chu Xiang looked at the gold-plated black card in her hand. It wasn't a bank card, but an ID card with her account number and password written on it.
Gu Heng said, "Miss Chu has priority access to all products under the Gu family, including all the games under our company."
Chu Xiang's eyes lit up.
Gu Heng's promise to give Chen Wanrou a gift because he had bothered her was not a lie. He not only gave her a gift, but also knew how to cater to her tastes. Chu Xiang stated truthfully, "Gu Jue and I discussed the matter of breaking off the engagement."

Assistant Yin was taken aback for a moment, but not surprised. There was no absurd thing Gu Jue wouldn't do. He clearly had a beautiful and wealthy fiancée, yet he was always seeing other women. She'd even heard that he'd signed some kind of contractual lover agreement this time.
Chu Xiang was the daughter-in-law chosen by the Gu family. It is said that when the elders of both families went to the mountain to worship Buddha, they drew a fortune stick. The master said that the two families had a predestined marriage relationship and that if their children got married, they would be blessed with long-lasting happiness.
As it happened, the elders of both families were good friends, so they arranged the marriage between Gu Jue and Chu Xiang on the spot.
Chu Xiang was well-liked by the elders of the Gu family, but Gu Jue just didn't like her.
Assistant Yin asked, "What does President Gu plan to do?"
Assistant Yin knew she shouldn't pry into her boss's family affairs, but since Gu Heng had brought it up, it meant Gu Heng had something for Assistant Yin to do.
Sure enough, Gu Heng said, "Investigate Gu Jue's lover."
Assistant Yin nodded and said okay.
Today is Saturday. Assistant Yin had made plans to go to the amusement park with his daughter, so Gu Heng didn't ask Assistant Yin to drive him there. Instead, he told Assistant Yin to go home first.
It was already 12:20, and Gu Heng had no intention of going hungry. His life was always routine, and even when he ate out, he would habitually go to the same old restaurants. However, before Assistant Yin left today, he strongly recommended a newly opened restaurant.
Gu Heng was someone who was used to a monotonous life, but thinking of what Assistant Yin had said, he inexplicably walked into the restaurant that Assistant Yin had recommended today.
Chu Xiang sat by the window. She took a bite of the cream cake, and the sweet cream melted in her mouth. She squinted her eyes happily. In front of the sweet treat, she felt that all her troubles could be forgotten.
This newly opened restaurant not only offers full meals but also freshly made desserts, and with the discounted prices, it's doing very well. However, most of the customers are with friends or lovers. A pretty girl like Chu Xiang, sitting alone by the window, is easy to spot.
As Gu Heng entered the restaurant, his gaze fell upon the girl whose eyes were still red.
Chu Xiang scooped out another beautiful piece of cream cake with her spoon. She opened her mouth, put the spoon in her mouth, and froze the moment her eyes met those of the man at the door.
For reasons unknown, she quickly put down her spoon, sat up straight, and gave the person at the door a greeting smile.
So now, Gu Heng couldn't be "understanding" and pretend he didn't see her.
He walked straight over, sat down opposite her, and said politely, "It's my treat today."
Chu Xiang didn't argue with him; in fact, she was quite embarrassed.
Gu Heng handed her a tissue.

A slice of Black Forest cake, a slice of Tiramisu, a cream square, two mochi, and half a pizza on the side.
Is this eating "a little" more?
Chu Xiang was embarrassed. "I only ordered a single serving. What would Mr. Gu like to eat? How about I treat you?"
Oh, and this is only a single serving.
Gu Heng calmly withdrew his gaze and said composedly, "I am older than you, so there is no reason for you to treat me."
