Chapter 11 You Are the Most Precious
She heard a "bang" and looked up. She didn't know what he had thrown in. She asked in a muffled voice, "What are you doing?"
He said, “Make a wish.”
"I want to make a wish, too."
Then she saw Luka search all his pockets but couldn't find a single star coin.
"If not, forget it." She just said it casually.
But Luka lifted her coat from her head and removed a badge from her uniform.
"Throw this."
She took the badge. Although small, it felt heavy. It was a golden star with five horizontal bars on the side. She didn't understand what it symbolized, but it felt very valuable, so she shook her head repeatedly.
"I have no more wishes. Let's go back."
Seeing that she was unwilling to throw it, Luka took off another badge from his military uniform and threw it into the fountain like a coin. Then he closed his eyes and opened them after a moment.
She couldn't help but be curious and asked, "What did you wish for?"
"Interstellar peace."
Is there really someone so noble?
She opened her eyes wide, stunned by the man's serious look, and forgot to cry.
She looked at the badge in her hand, but ultimately couldn't bear to throw it away. So she held it in her hand and silently made a wish. Just as she closed her eyes, Luka tilted his head and gazed at her, a tenderness in his eyes that she hadn't even noticed.
Seeing that Sui Sui's mood had calmed down and she was about to return the badge to him, he spoke first: "Those who made a wish have to keep it for themselves." Then he picked her up and walked straight forward.
"I can walk on my own."
"The heels are a bit high. Try walking by yourself next time."
On the way, neither of them spoke. Su Su relaxed when she smelled his scent and felt sleepy for no reason.
She wanted to ask him about the injury on his face, but then she remembered that he had a fiancée. Even if she could get his care now, they should still maintain their respective boundaries. So she yawned and said, "What do my test results say?"
Luka paused and looked down at her.
"You are an ancient human."
It sounded like she had become some kind of cultural relic.
However, when the moment of her identity being exposed came, Qiao Susu was no longer too panicked, but instead began to consider practical issues.
"Yeah. So what are you going to do with me?"
Luka was stunned. "I won't punish you, and no one will. Sui Sui, your existence is a blessing for the galaxy." And for me, too. Luka didn't finish the rest of the sentence.
"Won't someone take me to the lab for an autopsy?"
"Then he has committed a serious crime and will be genetically eliminated."
"No one will lock me up and make me perform live on the Internet?"
"Those who illegally profit from ancient humans will be expelled from the Federation."
"Then I won't be kicked out of your palace?"
Luka looked a little nervous and asked, "Did anyone do anything to you?"
"No, I just... I feel like I'm different from all of you. I'm an alien, right? I don't have any mental strength, no talent, and I can't calm down my violent tendencies like other females."
Hearing this, Luka felt the urge to hug her tightly, but in the end he just tightened his arms slightly and said in a soft voice, "That's why you are the most precious. You have what we don't have. I swear to you on the reputation of the Scorsese family that I will never let anyone hurt you."
…and our children.
Sui Sui looked at him. His handsome face was usually expressionless, but now, as he looked at her, there was an indescribable tenderness. She immediately covered her chest, afraid that his heartbeat would be too loud for him to hear.
Perhaps she felt relieved, and on the way back she fell asleep in Luka's arms.
"She's about this tall, incredibly beautiful, and glowing white. You can spot her in a crowd right away. She's been missing for ten minutes! Ten minutes and you're still asking me stupid questions!"
"Sir, calm down. You're not talking about that female over there, are you?"
Liberi looked in the direction the police pointed and found that the person he had called the police to find was in Luka's arms. She was wearing a men's military jacket and her little face looked a little tired.
He immediately ran over to check on Sui Sui's condition.
"She's asleep," Luka said.
After Liberi confirmed that she was okay, he gave Luka a mocking look. "What, you still want to be beaten?"
In fact, Luka didn't leave the hospital at all. He just didn't want Sui Sui to see the wound on his face, so he kept hiding in the dark and followed them. From the time Liberi bought her clothes to the time they talked about spouse issues, Luka was always there.
"What do you want? Two-timing? Scorsese, you can't have it all to yourself."
"Now is not the time to talk about this. Take her back."
Both of them spoke in low voices unconsciously, but it did not affect the tension at all.
Only when Qiao Susu couldn't see him did Luka stop hiding himself. He gently handed her to Liberi and covered her with clothes, his eyes never leaving her.
Liberi was irritated with him. She stared at him and asked, "When are you going to tell her about the pregnancy?"
"Wait a minute, I need to make some arrangements in advance."
"You mean the princess?"
"Yeah. If the royal family knew about this, Su Su would be in trouble."
Getting another female pregnant before the ceremony was a great disgrace to the royal family. Furthermore, this wasn't just about him; it concerned the entire Scorsese family. He couldn't let the family be implicated because of him, and he didn't want to see Su Su get implicated and hurt.
Libery had obviously thought of this as well. "If it were you, I'd just accept your fate as the princess's spouse and never appear before Su Su again. I'll treat her and the child well, you..."
Before he could finish his words, he was strangled by the pressure released by Luka. At that moment, Liberi truly saw the murderous intent in his eyes.
"Liberty, I won't let my child be raised by another male. I don't need you to be the good guy between her and me."
Libery sneered, "So what are you going to do? Betray the Scorsese family? Betray the royal family and dissolve your marriage with the princess?"
It was originally a teasing remark, but after he said it, he saw Luka's calm expression and determined eyes, and he was suddenly surprised.
"You're not really going to do that?"
From childhood to adulthood, Luca had always been the more thoughtful of the two, the more capable. As the heir to the Scorsese family, he was never allowed to make mistakes. Meanwhile, Labery was a man of action, acting first and then considering the consequences. Having been neglected by the royal family since childhood, he became rebellious and self-indulgent, only becoming more mellow as an adult.
"Even if she had your child, I wouldn't let her go," Libery said.
"Is it because you really can't live without her, or do you want everything I have?"
Hearing this, Labeli was stunned and speechless.
Luka looked at the sleeping person in his arms tenderly, and reluctantly tidied up the hair around her ears. When he lowered his hands, his expressionless face had returned to its usual state. He didn't even look at Liberi again, and left without saying a word.
