Chapter 216: Lan Ze’s Perspective (Part 1)

Chapter 216 Lan Ze’s Perspective (I)

Lan Ze stood on familiar land, but everything here felt strange to him.

Every brick and tile he saw with his spiritual power was the imperial court of his childhood, unchanged. Here, too, there was a Lan Ze, whose fate was both similar and different to his.

"Go back, go back to your world." He said to Lan Ze.

Lan Ze returned to the junction of World B and World A with doubts and uneasiness, but fell into a place by accident.

This place seemed like a rift connecting two worlds. It was suspended in the void, with a faint light flickering at the edge of the black hole, like a lone star in the galaxy.

The surrounding scene began to become blurry. Lan Ze tried to extend the tentacles of his spiritual power as far as possible, and felt a layer of mist shrouding him. It was an indescribable power that enveloped him.

Here, the concepts of time and space become blurred and all senses are deprived.

His body floated in the air, he gradually fell into coma and closed his eyes.

In this alien space, all perceptions were erased, and Lan Ze's mental power was also disturbed, as if he had entered a state of "nothingness". Here, there was no passage of time, no boundaries of space, and no material existence.

He didn't know how much time had passed. In the chaos, he could vaguely hear the voices of two people talking. The voices seemed to come from far away, as if they were talking across water.

"What is your purpose in calling me here?"

"I'd like to ask you to enter the game again. I'll tell you everything I know about the game, hoping you can change Anubis's ending."

"Why me?"

Lan Ze opened his eyes suddenly and tried to listen. He recognized the voice of one of them and murmured, "Sui Sui. It's Sui Sui."

He tried his best to get closer to the source of the sound, and released his mental power regardless of everything. Sure enough, he saw her, the one he had been thinking about day and night, in the layers of chaos.

Her clothes had changed, and her face looked more childish than before. Now her expression was cold, and her eyes were filled with loneliness.

Lan Ze found the environment around Sui Sui very unfamiliar, even significantly different from that of the StarCraft. He wanted to step forward and grab her wrist, but the next second he found his hand suddenly passed through her body.

"How could this happen?" He opened and closed his fists and tried to hug her again, but he still passed through her body like a ghost.

Lan Ze saw Sui Sui leaving and hurriedly chased after her, but his steps stopped when he passed the seat opposite.

"Ye Xi?"

B Lan Ze showed him Ye Xi's photo.

B Lanze's words immediately echoed in his ears——

【Ye Xi logged out】

【She left me a letter and returned to her own world.】

If Sui Sui is with her, it means they are from the same world, which means Sui Sui has also logged out.

Lan Ze's body swayed slightly as he thought of this possibility, and he felt a little unsteady. He regained his composure and ran to the coffee shop's revolving door, trying to catch up with Qiao Sui Sui. But the moment he stepped out, the chaos around him vanished like billowing smoke, and under his feet was the land of the Free Alliance.

Lan Ze panted and looked around, "I'm back. This is the Ruins Eye."

He searched for Qiao Suisui but found nothing. Lan Ze felt a little panicked, but he kept repeating in his mind: "No, she won't leave, no."

Lan Ze anxiously entered the center of Kanbukun, intending to charter a flying ship back to the Oslan Empire. Along the way, he encountered many people in the city who weren't dressed like the Free Alliance. Their attire wasn't like that of the Federation's orcs, nor did it resemble that of locals. Instead, it looked more like the rebels he'd heard of. However, the Free Alliance residents around him were unfazed and even enthusiastically engaged in conversation with them, creating a harmonious atmosphere.

Lan Ze looked at the scene blankly, feeling that he had missed some important clue. However, the most urgent thing was to confirm that Sui Sui had not logged out, so he did not bother to figure it out.

He first returned to the backyard of the church where he was staying temporarily and found that the house was much older than when he left. A child was sweeping the yard with a broom. Seeing him, he tilted his head and asked, "Who are you looking for?"

Lan Ze said, "I've greeted Bishop Tia here and asked to stay for a while. Now I'm here to get my things and get ready to leave."

The child was surprised and said, "Bishop Tia left for a wandering three years ago. Are you a liar?"

Lan Ze was stunned and asked, "Three years ago?" He used his mental power to carefully search the place inside and out. Indeed, Bishop Tia was not there, and he couldn't help but frown.

The child raised the broom and chased him away: "Hurry up! My father is a subordinate of the Dragon Clan. You know the leader of the Sangyan Alliance. He often comes to visit our house. If you don't leave now, I will not be polite to you!"

Lan Ze keenly caught the message in his words, and with his intelligence, an absurd guess immediately emerged in his mind.

"You said Sang Yan is the leader? Leader of which alliance?"

"Where else could it be? The Freedom Alliance."

Lan Ze was in a trance and asked again: "What year is this year?"

"763 star years. You don't even know that?"

The child looked at the older brother in front of him strangely and listened to him talking to himself:

"How could 763 be like this in the past ten years?"

Including the time it took to set out and search for the entrance to World B in the Ruins, it had only been a few months. Why did it take ten years to emerge from there?

Could it be that the speed of time flowing in the two worlds is different?

Lan Ze's thoughts were in a mess. He calmed himself down and asked, "Where is Sang Yan? I want to see him."

The sun never sets in the rainforest.

Sang Yan stood on the top of the mountain and placed the bouquet in her hand on a rock of special shape. Four words were engraved on the huge rock - the end of the world.

An orc dressed in rebel uniform stepped forward, knelt on one knee, and said respectfully, "Master, everything has been arranged."

Sang Yan turned around and helped him up, saying, "I've told you many times that you don't have to do this. The Freedom Alliance doesn't have this kind of etiquette."

The man still looked respectful. "If you hadn't selflessly accepted us ten years ago, we would most likely have been killed by the Federation. It was you who saved us from displacement, gave us a place to live, and allowed us to raise a family here. We will always remember this."

Lan Ze heard this conversation when he came up, and he also roughly understood the whole story on the way here.

It turns out that shortly after Lan Ze went to World B, news of Dante Connor's murder in World A spread, and Anubis was captured. The rebels were completely defeated. They put up a fierce resistance, but the remaining remnants fled and scattered. Soon after, Zong Yan came to power and continued to hunt them down for several years.

Three years later, Liberi launched a war like a madman. Sang Yan broke with him and returned to the Freedom Alliance to establish an armed force. In the following years, he took the position of leader and led the entire Freedom Alliance.

It was also at this time that Sang Yan accidentally rescued the fleeing rebels and spent a long time building trust with them, eventually allowing the Freedom Alliance to accept all the remaining rebels.

Back to the present moment, Sang Yan saw Lan Ze standing opposite him and ordered the others to retreat.

"I heard you disappeared for a long time."

Lan Ze didn't answer, but asked anxiously: "Where is Sui Sui? Where is she?"
