Chapter 10: Famine is coming

The Feng family had no strong laborers, so Shuixiu and Lianhua had to work in the fields like Old Lady Feng. Fortunately, Old Lady Feng knew how to deliver babies and treat illnesses, so the family was doing OK.

"Go buy some. I have a way to make more after you buy." Jiaojiao thought of the amazing power of space and wanted to use it to produce more farmers.

"Okay! But if we buy food from someone else, we might get into trouble..." Old Lady Feng didn't finish her words. She knew Jiaojiao was only thinking about their own good. But knowing that there would be a natural disaster, she still felt bad for buying food from someone she didn't know about.

"It's okay, we'll find other ways to subsidize them later."

Upon hearing this, Old Lady Feng took all the money in the house and went out to buy food.

She bought a little from each household, not much from each one, but it accumulated into a lot. Jiaojiao put all the food into the space. She didn't know how to farm, but with space farming, there was no need for farming. She just had to spread the food as she went.

Crops grew incredibly fast in the space. What would take half a year to mature outside only took five or six days. Harvesting the crops was also easy; she just walked over with a bag and the crops were packed into the bag. It was a bit tiresome, though.

To Jiaojiao's surprise, after she finished harvesting her first crop, the space suddenly throbbed. She felt the world shake, and it took a long time for it to stop. Unsure of the cause, Jiaojiao looked around and realized the space had expanded.

The mountains she had seen in the distance were now much closer. There was a river at the foot of the mountain, and she could hear the gurgling sound of the river even from within the space.

I don’t know if we can include this mountain when we expand next time.

Jiaojiao didn't bother checking and continued to plant crops. She wondered if the crops would be able to expand further after this harvest.

The harvest inside the space was several times greater than outside. Of course, Jiaojiao didn't know this; she had no idea how much crops were actually harvested. It was Old Lady Feng who figured this out based on the information she provided. Jiaojiao replanted the harvested crops, repeating the process over and over again.

Of course, this is a story for later. Right now, outside, the Wangjia Village team is busy sowing various high-yield root vegetables.
