Old Lady Feng placed Jiaojiao next to Shuixiu and cooked for her herself to nourish Shuixiu.
Shuixiu patted her daughter gently, humming a song. Jiaojiao stretched and dozed off again. Shuixiu yawned and fell asleep beside her daughter.
In her dream, she saw another raging fire, and she and someone were desperately running away. Jiaojiao frowned. Run! Run quickly! She was anxious. From childhood to adulthood, she had never run so hard before. She felt that if she continued like this, even before the pursuers caught up, her heart would collapse and she would die suddenly.
At a fork in the road, the man whose face she couldn't see pushed her into a dark alley and said, "Find a place to hide. I'll distract the pursuers!"
Jiaojiao was breathing heavily, her heart about to jump out of her throat. She followed her instructions and went into the alley, trying to find a place to hide.
The air vibrated with the sound of a bow and arrow being fired. An arrow split the air and flew straight towards Jiaojiao. Just as it was about to hit Jiaojiao, in a flash, Jiaojiao suddenly disappeared into thin air.
The archer followed closely behind, but the alley was empty; the man had vanished into thin air! The man's face was grim. No wonder his master had said the Feng family must be eliminated! He searched the alley carefully, looking for even the slightest clue, but the man had truly vanished!
In a life-or-death situation, Jiaojiao plunged headfirst into a vast expanse of white. Surrounded by fog, the silence was so intense that even Jiaojiao's breathing seemed indistinct. This was a strange place, but Jiaojiao couldn't care less right now. She finally had a chance to stop and catch her breath. She rested her hands on her knees, breathing deeply.
Soon, she realized something was different: the air she breathed into her mouth seemed to have a special effect. Every time she exhaled, she felt a coolness in her chest. The pain in her heart from the intense running disappeared, and the uncontrollable smell of blood in her throat was gone. Instead, she felt a refreshing feeling in her chest and a coolness in her throat.
Jiaojiao finally had time to look around. It was all white, and she tentatively called out, "Is anyone there?"
No one responded.
