Chapter 3 Spiritual Spring and Fairy Peaches

Jiaojiao groped her way forward and soon heard the gurgling of water. Following the sound, she came to a stream. In the middle of the stream was a spring, gushing out continuously. The water flow was powerful, but the pool around the spring remained at a constant level. As the spring gushed out, puffs of white mist drifted away.

Jiaojiao suddenly realized that this was where the white mist came from. She took another deep breath. The mist here was obviously thicker than elsewhere, and the air she inhaled into her chest was also more humid.

After taking a breath of air, Jiaojiao felt relaxed all over. She couldn't help but scoop up a handful of water and drink it gently.

The spring water was clear and refreshing, and after drinking it, it felt like eating iced fruit in the dog days of summer, making my whole body feel comfortable. Jiaojiao scooped up the water and took a few more sips.

After drinking the water, Jiaojiao walked around in this strange place again. It was empty everywhere, without a person or animal in sight. There seemed to be only a few trees in the distance.

Jiaojiao walked closer and saw that they were indeed trees, a dozen or so peach trees with branches full of peaches.

The peaches were all plump and fragrant, and the aroma penetrated Jiaojiao's nose, making her feel hungry and her mouth water.

Jiaojiao couldn't help but pick a peach. This peach was different from ordinary peaches and its surface was very smooth.

Jiaojiao took a big bite of the peach and found it juicy and sweet, with a rich peach aroma exploding in her mouth. In order not to waste any juice, Jiaojiao finished the peach in just a few bites.

After eating this palm-sized peach, Jiaojiao felt full instantly and even burped from the fullness.

Jiaojiao touched her stomach and thought, even if she couldn't go out, these many peaches would be enough to last her for a while.

However, it was impossible for her not to go out, as her tribesmen were waiting to rescue her. Jiaojiao began to explore further.

Passing through the peach trees, they found themselves in another vast expanse of white, though the fog wasn't quite as thick, allowing them to vaguely see mountains in the distance. Jiaojiao continued walking forward, only to be stopped by something invisible and intangible.

Jiaojiao tried several times, but was always bounced back. So, this should be the end of this place.

Jiaojiao looked around but couldn't find any exit.

She turned back and did this several times, walking through the entire place several times.

Just as she was struggling to find a way out, someone suddenly called out in her ear: "Jiaojiao, Jiaojiao, wake up! Wake up!"

Jiaojiao was gently woken up. She opened her eyes and everything was clear. The old lady Feng, whose face she could not see clearly before, now appeared clearly in her sight.

His bright black eyes rolled around, and he saw Shuixiu and Lianhua again.

Ha! What's going on?

The three of them breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Jiaojiao wake up. Old Lady Feng said, "That's good! I was so scared when she slept for so long. Shuixiu, hurry up and feed Jiaojiao. It's already afternoon and she still hasn't had a single sip of milk. She must be starving."

No, thank you!

Jiaojiao opened her mouth and burped.

Lotus sniffed hard: "Where does this peach scent come from? It makes me hungry just by smelling it."

As Mrs. Feng got closer to Jiaojiao, the peach scent became stronger. She frowned, not understanding why Jiaojiao smelled like peaches.

"Who of you fed her the peaches?" Old Mrs. Feng raised her eyebrows.

"No! We don't have any peaches at home, how can we feed her?" Lianhua and Shuixiu both shook their heads in denial.

"Is there anyone else coming in?"

"That's even less so. I was lying next to her in a daze, and there was no outsider around." Shuixiu shook her head.

Old Mrs. Feng frowned and said nothing.

Shuixiu hesitated: "Grandma, she burps so loudly, is she hungry?"

Lotus also nodded: "It seems that he is not hungry. If he was really hungry, he would have cried a lot after such a long time."

Old Lady Feng pondered, "It's abnormal to have slept all morning and night until now, and it's even more abnormal if you're not hungry! Shuixiu, try it."

Shuixiu wiped the baby clean, put down the handkerchief, picked up Jiaojiao and fed her, but Jiaojiao twisted her head and refused to eat. It wasn't that she didn't want to eat, but she simply couldn't eat any more. If she ate any more, she would vomit, and it would be a waste of such a good peach.

"You're really not hungry!" Old Mrs. Feng knew at a glance that the little guy didn't want to eat.

As soon as she finished speaking, Jiaojiao let out a stinky fart.

It is no exaggeration to say that it was a stinky fart. The fart almost made the three people in the room faint.

"My baby, what did you eat to make you fart so smelly?" Old Mrs. Feng pinched her nose, ran to the bed and took a deep breath, but she still choked and coughed - the fart was too powerful, and opening the window could not solve the problem at all.

Lianhua had run away a long time ago, leaving Shuixiu lying in bed and feeling uncomfortable. The fact that Old Lady Feng could bear not to leave was definitely due to her pure love supporting her.

Jiaojiao was almost fainted by the stench, and she kicked her hands and feet. Old Lady Feng had sharp eyes and noticed that something was different about her.

"Jiaojiao, what are you doing..."

Jiaojiao's originally red skin turned light gray.

"This..." Old Mrs. Feng had never encountered such a situation before. She gently held Jiaojiao's hand and found a layer of dirt.

This is too weird. How can a child excrete so much dirt at once?

Jiaojiao felt terribly smelly at this point. She frowned in dissatisfaction and kicked her feet. "Hurry up and give me a shower! If I don't, I might be the first person in history to die from my own stink!"

Strange as it was, Old Lady Feng couldn't help but laugh when she saw Jiaojiao frowning: "Lotus, boil some water for Jiaojiao to take a bath."

Lotus responded outside and went to the kitchen to light a fire and boil water.

Shuixiu was also surprised: "Grandma, what's going on? Why are you covered in mud?"

Old Mrs. Feng didn't know either. She rubbed it gently with her hands, and streaks of dirt fell off.

Lotus had just come in with water when she saw this scene: "Oh my god, whose dirty kid is this? He's so dirty!"

Old Lady Feng snorted, "Your mother is gone, there's no point in shouting."

Lianhua quickly changed her words: "My grandma, my grandma!"

Old Lady Feng and Lianhua gave Jiaojiao a bath together, changing basins of water one after another, and finally got a little white baby.

"Huh..." Lianhua tilted her head and asked, "Why do I feel like Jiaojiao seems to be much whiter than before?"

Not only Lianhua discovered this problem, but Old Lady Feng also discovered it.

"What's going on?" Lotus seemed to suddenly remember something and asked in a low voice, "There's something going on in our family..."

"Shhh!!!"

Old Lady Feng immediately stopped Lianhua from speaking. She glanced at Shuixiu again and said sternly, "Neither of you, no matter who you are, can say anything. Don't say anything!"

Lotus covered her mouth and nodded repeatedly.

Shuixiu was not very familiar with the Feng family's past. Although she was confused, she knew that it was for the good of her children, so she nodded.

Old Lady Feng looked at Jiaojiao, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes.
