Chapter 6 The Magic of Spring Water

Lotus said quickly, "That's right! My mouth is watering just by smelling it. When the steamed buns are being steamed, I can't wait to take them out of the pot and take a bite!"

Shuixiu also nodded, agreeing very much: "As soon as the steamed buns came out of the steamer, Lianhua and I couldn't wait for them to cool down. The taste... Anyway, I have never eaten such delicious steamed buns. Grandma, let me get you one, please try it!"

Jiaojiao rolled her eyes, looking here and there. "So exaggerated? If I had known this would happen, I would have released the spring water sooner."

Jiaojiao was inspired by yesterday's incident with Chinese medicine, and today she sprinkled a lot of water into the water tank.

Shuixiu went to get the steamed buns and suddenly exclaimed, "Grandma, Lianhua, come and look! What is this?"

When Old Lady Feng and Lianhua went out to take a look, they saw Shuixiu standing next to the water tank, covering her mouth with an incredible look on her face.

Jiaojiao followed and stood at the door. This time, she knew why Shuixiu was so surprised.

I don't know when, many small flowers and grasses grew around the water tank.

Old Lady Feng and Lotus were also stunned. They hurried over and surrounded the flowers and plants, examining them carefully. Old Lady Feng looked at them and suddenly seemed to think of something. She straightened up and glanced at Jiaojiao.

Jiaojiao looked innocent and showed her a few tiny teeth.

Old Lady Feng's thoughts raced. Shuixiu and Lianhua didn't know that something similar had happened in the side room yesterday. A patch of green grass had also sprouted around the herb drying rack. She pondered over these strange phenomena in the house, and concluded that Jiaojiao was the only reason for them.

While Shuixiu and Lianhua were busy in the kitchen, Old Lady Feng whispered to Jiaojiao, "Jiaojiao, great-grandmother knows you're different, but you should at least be more restrained. It wouldn't be good for others to see all these strange things!"

Jiaojiao tilted her head and said in a baby voice, "I want you to be well!"

When Old Lady Feng heard this, her heart melted. She hugged Jiaojiao and called her her darling.

"We're fine. Look at me, your great-grandmother. I'm sixty years old this year. Some young people can't compare to me!" Old Lady Feng patted her chest. "Your mother and your aunt are also fine. Don't worry about us!"

Jiaojiao looked at her with twinkling eyes. Old Lady Feng was skilled in medicine, had good luck, and was indeed in good health. However, she was already sixty years old, so it was inevitable that she would have some ailments. Fortunately, in late summer, she had secretly made dried peaches from the immortal peaches and mixed them with other dried peaches. After Old Lady Feng and the other two ate them, their health improved greatly in all aspects. She also spent every day with Jiaojiao and the peach tree in the yard, inevitably coming into contact with a lot of spatial spiritual energy, and her health was much better than before.

The next day was New Year’s Eve, and everything was busy, lively and happy.

The villagers gave each other homemade treats. The Feng family always gave sugar triangles. But this year, things were different. After eating the steamed buns yesterday, Old Lady Feng realized they were special. Suspecting Jiaojiao had tampered with the sugar triangles, she changed the gifts to snacks: candied peanuts, roasted melon seeds, and candies. Each family gave a little, and each gave a little. Everyone enjoyed themselves, celebrating a joyful New Year.
