Chapter 19 Huating

Doya looked on in a daze.

Seeing this, Qin Suisui raised her eyebrows: "Let's go straight to the hotel. I have some personal matters to take care of. We'll go to the law firm in a few days."

"Oh, okay, Attorney Sheffield!"

Doya realized what was happening and quickly grabbed Sheffield's suitcase, leading her towards the parking lot.

“Attorney Sheffield, I’ve booked you a room at the Mega International Hotel. It’s a ten-minute walk from our law firm.”

As Duoya walked, she explained her arrangements to Qin Suisui.

“I have rented an apartment for you near the law firm. I have redecorated it for you. The new furniture may need to air out for a while, but you should be able to move in in about a week.”

"Doya, thank you so much for the arrangements!"

"Attorney Sheffield, it's my job, it's my duty!"

As the two talked, joy gradually appeared in Doya's eyes.

"Attorney Sheffield, please fasten your seatbelt."

After getting in the car, Duoya was worried that Attorney Shefie might not be familiar with the traffic rules in Huating, so she turned around and reminded her.

"Thanks!"

Qin Suisui lowered her head to fasten her seatbelt, then looked up at Duoya, who was driving.

"Doya, Sheffield is my English name. For now, please call me Attorney Qin!"

"Oh, okay, Attorney Qin!"

Doya shrugged, her hands slightly open and then clenched. She saw that the email was addressed to Attorney Xie Fei and assumed that Xie Fei was a Chinese name.

Qin Suisui sat in the passenger seat, turning her head to look at the scenery outside the window, which was both unfamiliar and familiar.

In just five years, Huating's urban development has undergone a complete and dramatic transformation.

From airport construction to urban planning, the city's infrastructure development along the way gives it a more modern, international feel than the old-fashioned Manchester.

The towering buildings, both clean and bright, felt both familiar and strange, stirring up the homesickness etched deep in her soul. At that moment, her last lingering feelings for Manston vanished.
