Chapter 56: Ten Entries from Bretta's Diary - No Peeking Allowed! (End of Extra Chapter)

Bryta's Diary

In my fourth year as a human, I heard from Mr. Lin Dao (this is my personal way of addressing him) that the global aberration wave had completely ended after the cleanup. I enjoyed a wonderful and pleasant post-war period in the Asia Alliance, without having to work or go hungry. With Mr. Lin Dao's help in the application, I obtained a new identity as a citizen of the Asia Alliance base, and Mr. Lin Dao and I successfully moved into a three-bedroom apartment.

There is a study, a machine room, and a bedroom.

The decorating style was decided by Klin (which is also his nickname), but the color scheme was much warmer, much better than his previous cold, hard black, white and gray house.

After a period of being a "lazy bum," and because Krillin was too busy with official duties during the day, I volunteered to take the mechanic certification exam and successfully landed a job as a mechanic for Krillin's team, occasionally accompanying them on missions. Although the extermination of the mutants had ended, the mutants hadn't disappeared. Therefore, thankfully, there were still some minor group problems to solve.

Eating is my forte, more so than making mechanical weapons. However, Krillin forbids me from doing so after learning that digesting and breaking down the alien elements causes me to experience stomach pain due to rejection.

The only time he made an exception was when he let me turn Cheng Cheng back. After hearing the news that day, Cheng Cheng hid from me whenever he saw me, turning into a snow wolf and running around everywhere. As a result, Klin burned off his tail with blue flames, and finally, Klin used his snake tail to tie him up and feed him to my mouth.

"Come on, eat." Since he said that, I could only respectfully comply.

After I vomited it out, Cheng Cheng cried out in pain. He could no longer gallop across the snow in style.

Ever since Cheng Cheng saw my last diary entry, he's been protesting for days, demanding that I write about him looking more handsome next time. I reluctantly agreed. (I think I used the idiom correctly; I'm currently learning how to use idioms, and I write in my diary to practice my handwriting.)

Humans find writing incredibly difficult, especially Chinese. For example, the character "我" (I/me) has seven strokes, and the name Britta Easton has a huge number of strokes.

I later learned that Klindall, despite being of Asian descent, had an English name because he was one-quarter British, and both his parents were Asian. He also had a Chinese name, Lin Dao.

I really wanted a Chinese name, even though I like everyone calling me Tata. But when in Rome, do as the Romans do. I pestered Klin for a long time, and he gave me one: "Le Wuya" (meaning "toothless"). I thought it meant someone who laughs happily and whose teeth aren't visible, but he said that in San Francisco culture, "toothless" represents a little mouse.

Mr. Klin is so cultured! But I'm the guinea pig!

Today is Lunar New Year's Eve, the first human holiday I've ever celebrated—I never knew humans had holidays! They're celebrations on specific days. I had no idea! I pestered Klin for details, and he told me, and I learned that humans have many holidays: Lunar New Year's Eve, Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Children's Day, Qixi Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival! And so on and so forth. Other bases also have Christmas, Valentine's Day, and so on.

And everyone also has a day to celebrate their birth, called their birthday.

On this day, the person celebrating their birthday is the most important. I don't know when my birthday is.

Later, Klin designated the day he rescued me from Easton Labs as my birthday.

That day, I ate a delicious cream cake; it was very tasty.

I like celebrating my birthday.

Besides my birthday, I also want to celebrate Qixi Festival, which is the Asian Union's Valentine's Day.

Klin told me an old love story, which I really liked. Then he held me and kissed me on the bed for a long time, and then... it felt really good afterwards.

I also like to help him and see how comfortable he looks.

...

...

Qiao Song secretly saw my diary. He said that what I wrote would get me a red lock warning if it was put in the system's review, so after he finished reading it, I quickly deleted it.

Ever since everyone found out I was writing in my diary and practicing calligraphy, they've been sneaking peeks at it. How annoying!

Klin also liked to make me read to him while we were having sex, which was really awful!

By the way, with my help, we successfully recovered Qiao Song's lost memories.

I accidentally saw some of it too. It turns out he and Mr. Wei Tang used to be very much in love. Luckily, he found him.

After regaining his memories, Qiao Song's personality changed slightly. He was still a little awkward towards Mr. Wei Tang, but they quickly made up. Mr. Wei Tang was always sticking to Qiao Song.

I also discovered that Qiao Song installed an adult mode for himself. So robots can do that too? I wonder if it will make any squeaking noises when it's in use, and if it needs some lubricant?

“Hey! Don’t write nonsense!” Josh Song protested when he saw Britta’s diary.

Bretta quickly crossed out the last sentence and covered the diary: "...I didn't!"

Xiaobai protested why I didn't mention it.

It's living a very comfortable life now, as a magical plant species, basking in the sun and drinking water every day in the rose garden. Many people even pay special to see it.

I later saw its new friend, a red rose. It was very beautiful.

I secretly brought one back and gave it to Klin.

Klin was stunned for a moment after seeing it, and then we played comfortably until the wee hours of the morning.

Luckily, my stomach has a large enough capacity, otherwise it would definitely have been punctured.

But snake whip is really delicious, I still have two left, hehe.

No wonder Krillin didn't want me to turn him back into a human.

I see.

Klingdale saw this sentence while checking homework one day and fell silent: "..."

That night, I held down that little guy who was seriously writing erotic novels, and after a long time, I finally warned him in a hoarse voice:

"Don't write anything recklessly."

"Also, I wanted to keep you company..."

Bleta didn't quite understand, and let out a comfortable hum, opening her eyes groggily: "Hmm? Keep me company for what?"

"I'll be an outcast in this world with you." Klingdale didn't say it aloud.

When I went to Mechanical City, I saw a very familiar person—it was Chu Xiang. She had gone back to her old profession and opened a bar.

Klin wouldn't let me drink outside, so I could only order a drink with a strange name, "Cherry Blossoms at Jiming Temple." It was a bit bitter and not very tasty.

"The cherry blossoms at Jiming Temple?" Klindall frowned as he read the name, looking suspiciously at Blaita, who was clearly giving himself away but still wouldn't admit it.

Very good, they've even learned to forge diaries in order to lie about drinking.

Bryta cautiously added, "It's really bad! Absolutely awful! I'll never order it again!"

However, his own colonel had already given him a dangerous look: "Whether it's bitter or not, I'll know once I taste it."

Bryta was shocked; he didn't want to know what it meant.

While I was with another team on a short mission, we encountered a group of bounty hunters, coincidentally the same group we had asked for directions from before.

As I was leaving, I inadvertently caught a glimpse of familiar blond hair—the man was wearing a hoodie, and the young bounty hunter next to him reached out and pulled the hoodie covering his face tighter.

For some reason, I thought of Chu Hui and Donovan.

I gave Chu Hui a drop of blood and peeked into his memories.

Actually, at that time, he had no secrets from me. I saw his secrets.

I don't quite understand why he would like such a terrible person.

But after thinking about it for a long time, I realized that he had mentioned several times while staring at my face that I looked a lot like him.

Chu Hui was the first person to tell me that he wanted to be friends with me, even though we didn't seem to have a very deep friendship.

Next time I go to Chu Xiang's bar, I want to order that "Cherry Blossoms of Jiming Temple" again. I heard from Chu Xiang that it's a drink Chu Hui mixes.

He's no longer here.

Klin had been increasingly fond of hibernating lately, until I discovered he was molting. He transformed into a black snake, coiled up, and remained dormant for a long time.

I waited beside it for a long time, and finally watched it shed its skin.

Xiang Youyou privately approached me and said that the lifespan statistics for these "other species" seem rather pessimistic. Humans are among the longest-living animals.

I'm a little worried; I'm afraid something might happen to Klin.

Fortunately, it successfully molted and returned to human form, but it was still very sleepy.

I read a fairy tale, so I secretly called it "Sleeping Beauty".

Then, while he was asleep, I took off my shoes, pulled back the covers, reached out and hugged him, and gently kissed his lips.

"Wake up, Sleeping Beauty, Klin," Britta whispered, uttering the incantation-like words.

The moment their lips parted, he looked up and saw Klindall watching him with a leisurely air.

She was caught reciting strange lines while stealing a kiss from him.

Britta was so embarrassed that she didn't dare to look up.

Seeing his obviously familiar face, Klindall couldn't help but chuckle and reached out to pull him close, saying, "I'm sorry to have worried you."

Bleta leaned against him, thought for a moment, and said, "How about I... turn you back into a human?"

Although he discovered that the longer a person remained a mutant, the harder it was to turn them back, and he also faced many dangers and pain.

Klingdale looked down and asked, "How do I change it?"

Bryta blinked: "So... you eat it, then spit it out."

Klindall raised an eyebrow: "Eat some first, let me see."

Bryta: "..."

I didn't end up eating all of Klin because... he was too big.

He's being unreasonable, and his tail is so long, he can't possibly eat it all.

I gave up.

Anyway, after he shed his skin, he actually became more energetic.

I feel like I'm not a lab rat anymore, otherwise, why am I not afraid of him at all when he occasionally turns back into his original form and sleeps wrapped around me?

The base recently implemented a population growth strategy, which encourages childbirth.

When I see those newborn babies, my mouth waters, not because I want to eat them! I just think they're so cute, and I kind of want to raise human babies myself.

I asked Klin if he wanted to lay snake eggs, and he looked very upset and said he wanted to lay a litter of white mice.

This is terrible.

Luckily, we are all male and infertile, otherwise, wouldn't the offspring be quite strange?

Later, I discovered that human babies are so noisy; they cry every day after they're born. Klin is very sensitive to sound, so he definitely wouldn't be able to stand it. Forget it, I'll just raise the mechanical mice I made instead.

Later, I made a small mechanical black snake based on his snake shape and gave it to him as a birthday present.

Cheng Cheng was so fast in opening the gift that he screamed in fright when it slipped out and flew away, only to be caught by Krillin who teleported and reached out.

"So? Do you like it?" Britta asked expectantly.

Klindall, holding the black, soft mechanical snake in his hand, said without any mercy, "Ugly."

“But it was modeled after your snake shape,” Britta said, her eyes wide.

Klingdale: "…………"

Inside the room came the merciless laughter of everyone.

"So what if he has a wife? He's still just a straight man's guinea pig, hahaha!!!"

Bryta, unconvinced, grabbed Klindall's tie, pressed him down, and gave him a hard kiss, saying, "But I think it looks great, I like it!"

Everyone was stunned for a moment, then started to cheer.

Klindall's ears burned slightly, and he lowered his head, saying, "I like it too."

Author's Note: The side story has also come to an end.

The story of Klindall and Britta ends here, and their relationship is just right. So, that's how long it is.
