Inside the cave beneath the broken wall, the wound that had pierced the chest of the blond man, who was covered in injuries, miraculously began to stop bleeding and gradually heal.
His throat felt like it was on fire. He struggled to open his eyes and saw once again the dog he had long forgotten, a lowly dog that hadn't done what he said and had even run away. Chu Hui was dressed in the typical attire of a bounty hunter, carrying a homemade bow and arrow. He had just returned from the cave entrance carrying a wild rabbit.
In less than a year, the once frail boy from the slums had grown taller and stronger, with a straight back like a poplar tree. However, the look in his eyes when he glanced over was not so friendly.
Chu Hui scoffed: "Awake?"
He walked over and threw the rabbit near the fire in the cave, then strode on.
Donovan watched him approach with disgust, struggling to sit up and make himself look less disheveled.
Seeing that he didn't answer her, Chu Hui didn't say anything more. She deftly picked up the rabbit, skinned it, skewered it, and started roasting it over a fire, slowly roasting it.
Donovan had been unconscious for several days without eating, and now, smelling the aroma of roasted meat, he felt hungry. He swallowed hard, actually waiting for the other party to speak up and negotiate with him, so that he could take the opportunity to get him to send him back to the Imperial base.
But this lowly slum dweller, after dragging him into this cave, completely ignored him, except for the initial act of cruelly stepping on his injured back—how dare this lowly slum dweller?!
Donovan's eyes darkened as he stared at Chu Hui by the fire, feeling an urge to kill him. However, Chu Hui was injured, and his body had been pierced by the alien's limbs, yet he showed no signs of mutation. Could it be that Bryta's blood really worked? Donovan's eyes lit up with fervent joy; he had truly succeeded.
"What are you thinking about?" Chu Hui, holding a roasted rabbit, walked over condescendingly, snorted coldly from his nose, and looked at him with disdain. Suddenly, he leaned down and grabbed Donovan's chin with his right hand.
Donovan was shocked, furious, and utterly humiliated. He tried to turn his head away, only to find that the brat possessed incredible strength. Chu Hui sneered, forcing his head towards him, his eyes cold and filled with undisguised mockery: "Tsk, can't take this? I bet you want to kill me, don't you? After all, a slum dog like me isn't even qualified to be used as an experiment in the eyes of your noble aristocracy, is he?"
Donovan is handsome with exquisite features and has an excellent reputation for being gentle and gentlemanly, so it's no wonder he's very popular with women in various bases.
Hearing this, he gritted his teeth and stared intently at him. He saw that this kid could profit from saving him; a tiger fallen into the plains is bullied by dogs. He would lie low for now, and when he returned, he would make him wish he were dead.
Chu Hui was an extremely intelligent man, and of course he saw the undisguised hatred in his eyes. He suddenly raised an eyebrow and loosened his grip: "Speak."
Donovan closed his eyes proudly, raised his chin slightly, and waited for this lowly commoner to beg him first.
Chu Hui sneered, placed the roasted rabbit meat near his mouth, shook it, bent down slightly and blew on the meat, letting the aroma waft to the other's nostrils, and said nonchalantly, "Count, you haven't had a drop of water for days, you must be craving some, right?"
Donovan was indeed starving; his Adam's apple bobbed, but he remained unmoved with his eyes closed.
Chu Hui raised an eyebrow: "If you want to eat it, it's simple, just beg me. Just like I begged you back then."
When his only relative, Chu Xiang, died, leaving him isolated and helpless, Chu Hui was almost at his wit's end. He thought of this high-ranking nobleman and rushed to the Miks base, the imperial headquarters. Luckily, he ran into Donovan, who had just returned. It had just rained that day, and the ground was muddy.
After hearing his plea, the handsome blond man in front of him seemed to show a hint of sympathy in his beautiful eyes, but it didn't reach his eyes. He just suddenly smiled and said, "Do you know how to be a dog?"
He was stunned. He was such a respectable and noble man, and he looked very handsome when he smiled, but the words he spoke were like those of a demon.
That day, Chu Hui practically gritted his teeth, humiliated, on the muddy ground, barking like a dog, crawling on all fours, behaving like an animal, and being rewarded with dog food that was better than what was served in the slums. Several noble children around him kicked and yelled at him without restraint, riding on him and beating and cursing him.
The handsome blond man simply sat lazily in his luxurious and elegant chair, resting his chin on one hand, looking at the man with the same disdain he would give a dog. He turned away with just one glance and ordered, "That's enough, get out of here. As long as you behave, your sister's matter is not a problem."
Chu Hui, who was lying on the ground covered in mud, breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. Just as she was about to thank him, she heard him say, "Next time, dress neatly so you don't offend my eyes."
Chu Hui froze, his hands clenching tightly in the mud at his sides.
He snapped out of his reverie and saw that Donovan still looked arrogant, which made him furious. He pinched Donovan's cheeks with his right hand and said angrily in a low voice, "What? You still think you have the right to negotiate with me?"
Donovan's jaw was being squeezed painfully. He looked up angrily, feeling humiliated and incredulous: "You—"
Chu Hui sneered, "Not eating, huh?" He casually tossed the roasted rabbit back into the fire, his eyes flashing with a ghostly blue flame as he looked at Donovan. "Not hungry, are you?"
Donovan glared back at him, feeling a sliver of fear for the first time in his life, overwhelmed by humiliation: "What do you want? Send me back to the Imperial base and I'll give you anything..."
"Is that so?" Chu Hui shoved him back violently, flipped him over with a large hand, and stomped on his back as he tried to resist. "What do I want? I can have it now."
Once again, Donovan felt a real sense of fear as he was suppressed by him: "What...what do you mean?"
Chu Hui reached out and slapped him hard on the back, grinning roguishly. "Count Donovan surely knows, right? Well, it's his first time being a dog. Does he know how to serve his master?" As he spoke, he patted Donovan on the back, increasing the pressure on his hand until it hurt.
Donovan gasped, immediately panicked, and roared with fury: "You fucking dare!"
Hearing him swear, Chu Hui felt inexplicably pleased and slapped him hard again with her hand. The loud "smack" echoed in the empty cave. "It's just a dog, what's there to be afraid of?"
"You—! If you dare do this, I will absolutely kill you!" Donovan's eyes were bloodshot with rage. "I will absolutely kill you!"
Upon hearing this, Chu Hui's expression turned colder, but his hands didn't stop moving. He suddenly exerted force with his hands, put his feet down, and grabbed Donovan's restless hands tightly. He pulled out the other man's leather belt, wrapped it around his neck in a few quick movements, and tightened it, then fastened it behind Donovan's neck, rendering him completely immobile.
Feeling the chill and cold, Donovan's anger turned to panic. He began to struggle frantically, abandoning his former gentle and gentlemanly demeanor and shouting, "Chu Hui, you madman! You lowly commoner! Let me go! How dare you! I'll kill you! I'll kill you!"
Chu Hui remained completely unmoved by these words, his hands continuing their work, while he chuckled in exasperation, "As expected of a nobleman of good birth, even his insults are so elegant." He pressed down behind him, leaning forward close to Donovan's ear, and licked his earlobe twice. Donovan flinched and trembled, about to speak, when the other suddenly placed a ball in his mouth, rendering his tongue completely immobile: "Ugh!"
Chu Hui finished licking with satisfaction and whispered in his ear, "You should curse like this. I'll teach you." As he spoke, he whispered several swear words in Donovan's ear that a nobleman of Donovan's upbringing would never have heard before.
Donovan's eyes widened in humiliation.
"!"
Chu Hui! I will definitely kill you!
Chu Hui didn't let him off the hook either, occasionally reaching out from behind to touch the corner of his mouth, coldly scoffing, "You drool quite a bit."
"Is it comfortable?"
"Ugh ugh ugh—!" Donovan's eyes widened as he protested. If he weren't in this state, he would have definitely bitten his finger off!
Donovan felt utterly humiliated, a surge of boundless hatred rising within him. He, the son of an imperial marshal, a noble count, was now being so humiliated by the very lowly commoner he had once despised. His eyes blazed with hatred.

...
Chu Hui, having initially acted impulsively out of spite, slowly came to his senses. He was a naturally goal-oriented person; wanting to protect his sister Chu Xiang, he quickly contacted a team of bounty hunters after leaving Mechanical Sky City. In a short period, he continuously improved his hunting and killing abilities, becoming a young powerhouse in the team.
From the moment he first fell in front of Donovan and looked up to see his noble and gentlemanly appearance, as a cunning hunter, he knew he wanted this man.
Whether in the past or now, looking at the magnificent Donovan, Chu Hui feels a strange stirring in her heart.
Chu Hui turned the nearly unconscious Donovan over, and gently stroked his handsome face, ruffling his blond hair until it was dirty and messy, only then did she feel happy.
Donovan had no strength left. The entire cave was dark, with only the eerie flames flickering by the fire.
Chu Hui hugged him contentedly and murmured softly, "You're such a good boy. I've wanted to do this to you for a long time."
"From the first time I saw you, I wondered what it would be like if I made such a noble and beautiful person cry..."
After hearing his words, Donovan felt a surge of anger rising in his chest. The ball had been removed from his mouth, but his throat was so dry that he could no longer speak.
Chu Hui rubbed his bright red lips with her fingertips with satisfaction, stared at him, and said softly, "Now, you are mine."
Donovan felt a chill run down his spine. Looking into his eyes, he felt a mixture of hatred and a strange sense that they were kindred spirits.
They're all crazy.
