Under normal circumstances,
Jiang Yuping might forcibly take the cigarette from her husband's hand and lecture him about the health hazards of smoking.
However, she knew that at this moment, perhaps only smoking could relieve a lot of stress and reduce her anxiety and fear levels.
Jiang Yuping naturally did not stop him, but instead watched her husband's retreating figure and burst into tears.
Just as Jiang Yuping was the best woman in Qiu Jingwen's eyes.
In Jiang Yuping's heart, her husband Qiu Jingwen was the best husband in the world, perhaps even the best without exception.
In her memory, from meeting and falling in love with her husband to getting married, and up to the present day, they have almost never argued or quarreled. In her memory, her husband is gentle, kind-hearted, hardworking, and his career is not the best, but not the worst either, and he has even achieved some success. Whether at home or in the factory, few people say a bad word about her husband.
She knew that as her husband's identity as an enemy agent was gradually exposed, she could hardly imagine what kind of turmoil would ripple through the entire Hongqi Factory once his identity was revealed.
How surprised and incredulous will everyone be?
Besides Qiu Yang, how will they face and accept the remaining three daughters and one son?
She quietly wiped away her tears and silently walked out of the bedroom.
Qiuyue was already eating breakfast and had prepared breakfast for her parents and brother, with all the bowls and chopsticks ready.
Jiang Yuping went into the restroom, washed her face with a towel to wipe away her tears, and then returned to the restaurant.
She sat down in the chair and began to eat her breakfast in silence.
Qiuyue chewed on a fried dough stick and handed one to her mother.
She looked at her mother with almost scrutinizing eyes.
"Mom, what's wrong with our house? Something's weird."
Jiang Yuping knew her daughter had noticed something, so she looked at Qiuyue and said:
"Qiuyue, don't overthink it, it's nothing. Let's eat, we have to go to work soon."
After washing up, Qiu Yang came out of the bathroom.
He sat down in a chair, didn't even look at anyone, and started eating by himself.
Qiuyue cooked mung bean porridge and bought sesame cakes and fried dough sticks in front of the dormitory area.
Qiu Yang tore the sesame seed cake open horizontally, folded the fried dough stick inside, stuffed it into the sesame seed cake, closed the sesame seed cake, and then ate it in big bites.
It could be said that Qiu Yang only appeared to be enjoying his meal, his expression clearly feigned.
He didn't want his sister to know that something terrible had happened in the family, nor did he want his mother to worry about him.
After quickly finishing breakfast, Qiu Yang said goodbye to his mother and sister, and then left home.
He didn't wait for his father to come out of the bedroom, nor did he ask his mother if his father had gotten up.
Qiu Yang knew in his heart that his father was under more pressure than anyone else.
As soon as Qiu Yang left, Qiu Jingwen, having finished his cigarette, walked out of the bedroom and into the dining room.
He sat down silently and then ate his breakfast in silence.
Even someone of low intelligence like Qiu Yue could see through these actions, let alone the fact that almost no one in the Qiu family is of low intelligence.
Think about it, one is a former teenage spy and the other is a former teenage spy. If these two people get married, how could their child have a low IQ?
Qiuyue was convinced that something major must have happened in this family.
Her parents and brother knew that she, her two younger sisters, and her younger brother were probably still in the dark about the autumn harvest.
After finishing her meal, Qiuyue put down her chopsticks and bowl.
She glanced quietly at her father, then turned to look at her mother, Jiang Yuping.
However, she didn't ask anything.
Work hours are very tight, so even if I need to ask, I'll have to find a time to ask later.
Moreover, it seems unlikely that her parents will say anything to her.
"Mom and Dad, take your time eating. I'm going to work."
Qiu Jingwen merely glanced up at his daughter, while Jiang Yuping looked at Qiu Yue and said:
"Autumn Moon, the road in the factory is bumpy, ride your bike slowly and be careful."
Qiuyue agreed, picked up her bag, and silently walked out of the house.
She rode her bicycle, hoping to catch up with her brother Qiuyang and perhaps get some information from him.
Unfortunately, by the time she rode out of the factory gate, she found that her brother had already reached the hillside of Orange Gully, and it was unlikely that she could catch up with him.
Just then, Liang Guoping shouted at her:
"Autumn moon, autumn moon."
Liang Guoping stood with his feet on the ground, his hands gripping the handlebars of the bicycle, gazing at Qiuyue with an admiring expression.
Qiu Yue asked him:
"Liang Guoping, you're not going to stay here waiting for me forever, are you?"
Liang Guoping took two steps and chuckled:
"Of course, if I don't wait for you, who else can I wait for?"
Qiuyue did not respond.
She rode her bicycle straight ahead, and Liang Guoping caught up by pedaling hard with both feet.
In less than half a minute, Liang Guoping caught up with him.
The two people were riding bicycles, walking at almost the same pace.
During this time, Liang Guoping would occasionally glance at Qiuyue.
"Autumn Moon".
He cried out.
Qiu Yue ignored Liang Guoping.
Liang Guoping called out again, his tone tinged with complaint.
"Qiuyue, why are you ignoring me?"
"What's up?".
"I heard from my dad that the police officers talked to your mom."
Upon hearing this, Qiuyue gripped the front and rear brakes of the bicycle with both hands and placed her feet on the ground.
The information Liang Guoping provided clearly made her think that her mother might be involved in the barber's murder case.
"Liang Guoping, what did you say? The police officers are talking to my mother?"
