For Qiu Jingwen, the scene of his wife and two daughters embracing each other in tears was somewhat unexpected.

Qiu Shui seemed certain that her father wouldn't blame her, because Qiu Jingwen had always been a good father in her heart. He had never been a murderer to her. That time he was mean to her younger brother Qiu Shou and even slapped him, they could understand why their father hadn't let them go downstairs to play when the barber was murdered came out.
Like his wife Jiang Yuping, Qiu Jingwen did not scold his daughter after hearing her explanation. Instead, he praised her for helping adults.
"Qiuyue, you've grown up. Dad is very relieved."
After praising his daughter, Qiu Jingwen carried his work bag back to his bedroom.
The wife usually cooks dinner at home, unless she goes on a business trip, such as to study or do other work in another city. In those cases, Qiu Jingwen will learn to cook. When his wife is at home, Jiang Yuping doesn't let him help.
Next, Qiuyue helped her mother, and the two of them made dinner together, while Qiushui washed her hands and face and left the restaurant.
Because Qiuyue kneaded too much dough, the baking time for the pancakes was relatively long, and the finished pancakes were placed in a round sieve.
Around seven o'clock, Qiu Shou and Qiu Chan returned home, with Qiu Shou's forehead covered in sweat.

As Jiang Yuping spoke, her heart ached, and tears almost welled up in her eyes.
Because she understood that fire cannot be contained in the end.

"Of course you can. The cakes are meant to be eaten once they're made. Take one for your little brother too."
"Mom, Mom is so good, she's the best mom in the world!"
As Qiu Chan spoke, she reached out and took another piece, munching on the fragrant pancake as she left the kitchen.
At that moment, Qiu Shou pushed open the bedroom door and saw his father standing on the balcony smoking, so he did not approach.
Looking at his father's back, he could almost sense that his father was different from before.
