When the woman's spirit appeared before him, Todd stared in astonishment, his mouth agape.
The reason is simple: this woman looks exactly like Rachel.
Todd looked at the pale blue spirit, then at the sorrowful-looking Rachel, and asked hesitantly, "Are you sisters?"
Rachel shook her head: "I'll explain about us later, first of all..."
Rachel walked over to the exhausted Deirdre and supported her swaying body.
"I'm so sleepy." Deirdre collapsed to the ground, exhausted.
Rachel stroked her hair and said softly, "Thank you, Deirdre. Go and get some rest."
As Deirdre's figure grew fainter and fainter until it disappeared into space, Todd turned his attention to Tristan.
Tristan's spirit still retained the form he had before his death. His body, ravaged by torture, had no intact skin to be seen, making it unbearable for Todd to look at.
Rachel walked up to Tristan, looked at him, and asked, "Do you still recognize me?"
The latter nodded and said in a hoarse, almost parched voice, "You are Mia."
Rachel shook her head with a wry smile: "The real Mia is dead. What you see of me is just her shell."
Tristan's spirit body shook violently, causing the surrounding space to distort to varying degrees.
Rachel stepped aside, revealing the female spirit behind her who looked exactly like her: "Tristan, take a closer look, this is the Mia you've been talking about!"
Looking at the female spirit, Tristan gradually calmed down. He floated around her a few times and hesitantly asked, "Mia?"
Mia's spirit looked at Tristan and suddenly laughed: "Little carpenter?"
After a brief moment of shock, Tristan's body began to change. His wounds gradually disappeared, he grew shorter, and his age became younger and younger until he finally became a shy boy of about ten years old.
Mia's body also changed, eventually transforming her into a young noblewoman.
Tristan looked at Mia nervously and said anxiously, "Mia, I've always regretted not having the courage to break through that wall and rescue you from that prison..."
The girl's childish voice rang out, but her words were filled with the vicissitudes of life: "I don't blame you. Even if you took me away from there back then, the outside world was just an even bigger cage... But look at us now, we are finally free."

Mia tiptoed and gave Tristan a light peck on the cheek, instantly transforming his expression into a tapestry of joy, surprise, satisfaction, and emotion...
Watching the two spirits holding hands and quietly nestled together, Rachel nodded gently to Todd.
Todd sighed softly, waved his hand, and opened a passage for Tristan and Mia's spirits to leave the soul space.
A dazzling light shone down from above the soul space, and Tristan and Mia's souls rose higher and higher in the light before finally disappearing into the space.
As the light in the sky grew fainter and fainter, Rachel, who had been calm, suddenly knelt down on the ground, covered her face with her hands, and burst into tears.
The woman before him, her face streaked with tears and constantly repeating "I'm sorry," was the complete opposite of the elegant, wise, and even cunning strong woman Todd remembered.
Todd sat down next to Rachel, took a box of tissues from the table and handed it to him, temporarily setting aside his doubts and remaining silent.
After crying for a moment, Rachel wiped away her tears, walked straight to the refrigerator in the conference room, took out two cans of beer, opened one and took a big gulp, walked over to Todd and threw the other can to him, saying, "Mia is my best friend in this life."
Todd took the beer, opened it, and slowly drank it while listening quietly to Rachel's account.
