To his surprise, seven griffins, each carrying a knight, calmly landed in the center of the palace gardens, facing the guards' bows and spears, in the azure sky.
Standing on the steps, limping, Huggins loudly rebuked the soldiers for their hostile actions while directing his servants to carry the king's belongings to the center of the garden.
Emerson stared wide-eyed at the six tall, fully armed women who jumped down from the griffin's back: "Who are these people?"
“They are the Valkyries of the North Island, and the knights who ride these griffins.” Todd looked out the window, sighed heavily, and smiled at Emerson, saying, “They’ve come to pick me up. It’s time to go.”
Emerson, a sudden sense of foreboding creeping into his heart, looked at the composed Todd and asked in a low voice, "Your Majesty, is there something you don't need to say...?"
Todd patted the Prime Minister on the shoulder, his face showing an unprecedented resolve and composure: "While I'm away, I'll be entrusting the safety of Muxi City to you."
Watching Todd's departing figure, Emerson suddenly recalled the conversation between the monarch and his minister in the Soul Space Bar that night, and was filled with unease, yet he did not know where this unease came from.
Mounting on Henry's back, Todd nodded to Evie, the Valkyrie beside him.
Under the knights' command, the seven griffins grabbed the cargo crates on the ground and slowly rose into the sky.
Todd glanced one last time at the breathtaking scenery of Twilight City, then slowly closed his eyes. Henry let out a sharp cry in the air, flapped his wings, and sped off towards the north.
