Slowly opening his eyes, Todd found that his consciousness had returned to the entrance of the cave in the snow-capped mountains.
The manticore, like a docile cat, crouched at his feet, purring softly.
Todd placed the dragon's claws on the lion's head, only to find to his disappointment that nothing happened.
"It seems that the holder of the Soul Link can actively close the channel to the Soul Seed." Todd stroked the mane of the manticore and muttered to himself, "All things considered, the Soul Link ability now has three derivative skills."
"Based on their difficulty of use and function, they are Soul Space, Soul Materialization, and Soul Seed. Soul Space utilizes dark matter within a living organism to open a space of consciousness; Soul Materialization uses dark matter to create matter; and Soul Seed creates a shortcut to the soul through dark energy..."
One superpower has already spawned three derivative skills. With the strengthening of soul power, will new uses emerge?
Also, what about those merfolk living in the Leviathan soul space?
Unable to come to any conclusions, Todd gave up and flew towards the temple ruins, flapping his dragon wings.
Meredith sat by the fire, and hearing the sound of flapping wings in the air, he stood up and looked up at the sky.
Todd landed slowly beside her, the immense wind pressure generated by his wings extinguishing the already waning fire.
Looking at the wisps of smoke rising from the firewood, Todd said apologetically to Meredith, "I can use my Flame Breath to reignite this pile..."
Meredith combed through his raven feathers and shook his head at Todd, saying, "It's alright, let's go see my master now."
"Scáthach wants to see me?" Todd folded his dragon wings and looked at Meredith, asking, "What happened?"
"You will know when you see her." Meredith followed the path toward the temple.
As the man and the dragon walked on the ground, Meredith would occasionally glance at Todd with a strange look in her eyes.
Left with no other option, Todd asked, "What's wrong?"
"No, it's nothing..." Meredith turned her head and asked casually, "How do you feel about changing into this form?"
"Feelings? Not really... If I had to say, there would be some inconveniences in daily life, such as eating, sleeping, and some physiological issues..."
Meredith looked at Todd with amusement: "Having children is a matter of the continuation of the race, there's nothing wrong with talking about it."
"Then, I'd like to ask, as far as you know, are those tyrannical demigods capable of having offspring with humans? Wouldn't that cause harm to the other party?"
Meredith looked at Todd with some surprise: "As far as I know, those demigods who pass the trials can produce offspring after mating with humans or even other races. But none of them have ever been as concerned about the woman's safety as you are... Tell me, do you love her very much?"
Todd was somewhat embarrassed; there were some things he really couldn't say. For example, correcting Meredith's grammatical error—it wasn't "she," but "they."
Having no other option, Todd could only nod vaguely to answer the question.
Meredith turned her head away, not pursuing the topic further, and instead said, "I'm very interested in your new body..."
Todd stopped and uttered a short question.
Meredith smiled and said, "Don't misunderstand, I'm referring to your abilities... If I remember correctly, before transforming into the Tyrant's second form, you possessed abilities like frost, regeneration, and metallic skin. But now, you can use many abilities you've never had before. Has something changed?"
Todd rested his chin on his forelimb and pondered for a moment.
"If you don't want to say, you can pretend I didn't ask."
Todd wiggled his forelegs and said, "No, I was just thinking about how to explain it to you. You remember the ability 'Soul Materialization', right? It's the skill that Scáthach taught me."
"The skill of using soul power to create physical objects, I remember that, what's wrong?"
Todd organized his thoughts: "Using soul power... that is, dark matter, to create objects in reality, if the user's soul power is not strong, they can only create things that are lighter, smaller, and simpler in structure, right?"
“That’s right, so my master can create an apple tree, while you can only create a stick at most.”
Todd touched the dragon head and said rather awkwardly, "I can only make things that are lightweight, small in size, and simple in structure... At first, I also thought that the ability of 'soul materialization' was not very useful to me, until I discovered some special products—microorganisms."
"microorganism?"
"Microorganisms like bacteria and viruses are lightweight and small. I know their internal structures by heart. And most importantly, these microorganisms can divide and replicate, so there's no need to repeatedly manufacture them..."
Meredith's eyes widened: "Microorganisms, bacteria, and what's that virus thing? What are you talking about?"
It was only then that Todd realized that the woman in front of him was different from Leviathan and Scáthach; she was not a pioneer of this world, and it was only natural that she had not heard of these terms.
However, explaining these terms involves a lot of technical jargon and theoretical knowledge, so Todd decided to explain them to her in a simple and easy-to-understand way: "Microorganisms are very tiny organisms that are invisible to the naked eye. The important thing is that bacteria and viruses are the source of superpowers. For example, the regeneration and frost powers you just mentioned are both produced by the corresponding bacteria."
