"What do you want to do?" Sabrina followed behind Rachel, looking fearfully at the deadly sea of lava below.
As Rachel walked, she said, "I need to confirm some things that the Absolute Will once told me..."
Sabrina suddenly realized: "So you, like Iliad, also want to become a god in this world!"
“No, that’s not it.” Rachel turned to Sabrina and said, “I have no interest in becoming a god. I’m interested in some other uses for the Beacon Tower…”
“Sabrina, when I make contact with the beacon tower, my consciousness will leave my body. If there is any disturbance, I will need you to wake me up.”
"Enough! Now I understand, you tricked me into coming to the Elders' Council not to help me get rid of Eleanor at all!" Sabrina said disappointedly, "You were only thinking of yourself!"
Rachel shook her head slightly: "When you realize the deeper meaning in my words, you will understand that I am not lying to you... After I touched the beacon tower, everything that happened here will prove everything I said."
“Of course, if you no longer trust me, you can turn around and leave, taking your questions and regrets with you, and leave this place forever.” Rachel turned around and continued walking towards the beacon tower: “The decision is yours.”
While Sabrina was still hesitating, Rachel had already reached the beacon tower. She closed her eyes, placed her hand on the cold metal surface, and the pale blue light immediately began to flow faster, growing brighter and brighter.
Rachel was like an empty shell, devoid of its soul, linked to the beacon tower, and remained motionless.
After waiting for a while, Sabrina found that everything was calm and there were no strange phenomena at all. Disappointed, she decided to give up on this meaningless thing and turned to leave.
Just then, some unusual phenomena suddenly appeared in the sea of lava below the cliff.
Numerous bubbles rose from the surface of the magma, the flames above the lava leaped higher and higher, and a faint tremor came from the ground.
Confused, Sabrina walked to the edge of the platform, lay down, and looked down.
What happened next terrified her so much that she almost fell off the platform.
Amidst the violent eruption of lava and the shaking of the earth, a monster's head, over twenty meters in diameter, emerged from the lava.
The head was entirely crimson, its skin covered with huge, wrinkled scales, and hundreds of eyes of varying sizes were scattered among the scales. A gaping maw full of sharp teeth roared at the sky.
"My God! What is that thing?!" Sabrina retreated rapidly, only to find the head emerging from the lava rising higher and higher.
Its body resembled that of a centipede, divided into segments, each with numerous writhing tentacles connected to a pipe continuously pumping in black liquid. Even at a cursory glance, the length of this monster's body protruding from the lava already exceeded two hundred meters.
After surveying the surroundings, the monster turned its head toward the beacon tower, wriggled, and pounced rapidly toward Rachel and Sabrina.
Without time to think about anything else, Sabrina rushed onto the suspended bridge, grabbed Rachel's shoulder, and forcefully pulled her down from the beacon tower.
Like someone who had been rescued from drowning, Rachel suddenly opened her eyes and gasped for air.
"Monster! Monster is coming!" Sabrina shook Rachel's shoulder hard with one hand and pointed at the rapidly approaching lava monster with the other.
Rachel composed herself, as if she had anticipated this situation, and quickly pulled Sabrina into a small path above the platform.
Hearing the monster's roar, Sabrina, whose body was still trembling, asked Rachel, "What on earth is that thing?!"
Rachel said calmly, "Didn't you want to find a way to eliminate Eleanor? That person is the answer you're looking for."
“Wait a minute? You mean that person?” Sabrina looked at Rachel in disbelief. “You mean, that monster was once a human?!”
Rachel smiled and turned to Sabrina: "You're sure to recognize his name, the ancient sage of the alien races, the greatest alchemist of ancient Taro, Sutherland..."
