Upon hearing the lizardman's words, Barbara took a few steps back with a look of disgust.
Burville stamped his foot in annoyance and objected, "These heretics should be given the opportunity to be baptized. They should be educated, allowed to experience the power of the Dragon God, and their ranks of believers should be strengthened. This is the duty of the Holy Crusade."
"Childish, naive..."
Kellogg sighed helplessly, “The ‘kindness’ and ‘generosity’ of the Minotaur race are the subject of a thousand jokes within our own people. But that doesn’t stop us from being best friends. However, we don’t see it that way about the other races in the Crusade.”
The lizardman turned his gaze to Barbara, his tone mocking: "First of all, there are the elves. You live in tall, pointed houses, spending all your time with those scholars, studying those truths day and night, almost forgetting the might of the Supreme Dragon God. Bulville echoed, "Those scholars always have the truth on their lips, and they even clamor to unlock the secrets of the origin of the world. If it weren't for the prohibition of the Supreme Dragon God, I would definitely grab them by the neck and throw them out of the city one by one."
Aldenan asked, puzzled, "If you two are so averse to scholars, why did you join this operation?"
The lizardmen and minotaurs said in unison, "Because this is the wish of the Supreme Dragon God."
Kellogg explained, "It was because this operation was ordered by the Supreme Dragon God that I was willing to ignore all opposition and endure my displeasure to rescue those scholars."
Bulwell: "That's right."
"Besides the elves, the irritable orcs, the cunning werewolves, the treasure-loving dwarves... hiss, in our eyes, they are all a disgrace to the Crusade."
The lizardman's words caused everyone else's expressions to change.
Seeing that things were not going well, Bulville quickly stepped in to smooth things over: "Gentlemen, as I said at the beginning, the lizardmen have always been a straightforward species. They do not deceive or hide anything, and they always say what they think."
Randall nodded with a wry smile, just about to say something to ease the tension.
The sound coming from beside him caught his attention.
"We've arrived! The camp of the Dragon Kingdom's expeditionary force is just ahead!"
Looking into the distance, the group saw endless camps stretching across the plains, like a forest rooted in the earth, with no end in sight.
