Aldnan curled his lip, seemingly disdainful of the orcs' confidence.
Seeing this, Randall pointed to the defensive construction site next to him and said, "Our greatest reliance is actually our defensive fortifications... The northern, eastern and western districts of Twilight City will have a total of 71 kilometers of city walls to be built. If we add the outer walls, barbicans and alleyways, then that number will double."
"The city wall is about 7.5 meters high, with towers every 30 meters and flag towers every 270 meters. Thanks to the cement and exotic technology of Muxi City, and with the work done day and night, all the city defense facilities are expected to be completed in a few months."
Aldenan straightened up and glanced at the construction site in the distance.
The towering city walls stretched endlessly, and countless craftsmen and soldiers thronged the area. The noisy and jarring sounds of construction could be heard even from a great distance.
Aldenan said quietly, "Most people in Twilight City have never seen a necromancer, and they have no idea what they are about to face."
Randall nodded and said, "That's why we bear such a great responsibility."
Carol clung to the edge of the city wall, gesturing for the two to look outwards.
On the eastern horizon, a massive procession was slowly making its way towards Muxi City.
Randall glanced at them and immediately identified them: "They are troops and civilians who withdrew from Holy Guard City."
Aldenan said half-jokingly, "The people from Silver Ring City just entered the city a couple of days ago, and now the people from Holy Guard City are here too. I bet in a few days, there won't even be a place to sleep in Twilight City."
Looking at the massive migration procession from Holy Guard City, Randall said softly, "His Majesty may be right. Twilight City may be everyone's last hope."
