Chapter 761 Beyond Reality (Part 1)

Todd asked Jing Su in utter shock, "These flowing things, are they all the souls of living beings?"

Jing Su: "Using the word 'soul' to describe it is not accurate, because only part of it is the soul of a living being. There are also hidden bodies, seas of consciousness, and some things that I cannot even find suitable words to describe in your language... If we take all these things together, perhaps the word 'ethereal body' would be closer to describing them."

Todd watched as the pale blue particles coalesced into a vast blue fluid, flowing ceaselessly into the distant space, and asked, "Where are these souls... I mean, these ethereal entities going?"

Crystal emitted a red light, opened a screen, and said to Todd, "To answer this question, we must first start with the simplest things."

On the screen, a huge black building appeared—the beacon tower.

Jing Su: "I think you're familiar with this."

"There are three of these on every planet in the nebula."

"Normally, they are buried deep in the soil, and only rise up and start working during a specific period of time."

Todd was puzzled: "A specific time period? A promotion?"

Jingsu: "Yes, these beacon towers only rise and operate during virtual transmission."

Todd: "But you still haven't explained where these phantoms went."

Jing Su turned off the aerial view, turned to the starry sky below, and said, "Don't rush. We need to explain step by step."

“Each planet has three beacon towers. When the towers begin transmitting virtual matter, the planets are connected to each other through the beacon towers, forming a vast and regular virtual network.”

"Looking at it more closely, all the nebulae in this universe, and each planet on these nebulae, transmit their virtual bodies through a network, which eventually reaches the outer wall through pipes."

Todd focused intently; he knew Crystal was about to explain the most important part.

Crystal emitted a red light, and the image of the nebula beneath Todd's feet shrank again, eventually becoming a faintly bright spot of light.

The pale blue particle stream, composed of ethereal particles, was emitted, piercing through the light spots, passing through vast areas of darkness, and finally reaching the edge of outer space.

The pale blue stream of particles passed through something resembling a wall, entered a long passage, eventually reached another dark area, and arrived at another spot of light.

Jing Su turned to Todd and asked, "Do you have any questions about what happened in between?"

Todd shook his head and said, "I don't quite understand."

Jing Su used red light to rewind everything that had just been demonstrated to its initial state and began to explain it in detail to Todd.

"In this world, those ethereal particle streams containing souls first gather at the bottom of the beacon tower, and then enter the planet through the passage inside the tower."

"Next, the countless streams of ethereal particles from planets connected with each other, forming a network, and eventually converged into a massive stream of ethereal particles."

"This massive stream of particles travels through countless galaxies and nebulae in the universe, first reaching the edge of the universe's core."

Jing Su focused the red light into a beam and pointed to the spot of light that represented the universe, saying, "This spot of light is the core of the universe. With the level of technology in your previous life, humanity's understanding of the universe was limited to the core of the universe—that is, within this spot of light."

"In fact, a complete universe generally consists of three parts: the core, dark matter, and dimensional walls."

"The observation instruments currently used by mankind can only see a part of the landscape of the core of the universe. Beyond that, they cannot see anything."

"If we compare them by volume, the size of the cosmic core is approximately 10 to the power of negative 27 of the entire universe."

Todd looked bewildered: "10 to the power of -27, just how small is that?"

Jing Su: "The core of the universe is very, very small. If you were to open a cosmic map according to its original scale, you wouldn't even be able to detect its existence with the naked eye."

"As the ethereal stream emerges from the core, it will then pass through this vast and boundless dark region."

That dark area is called dark matter.

"After passing through dark matter, the ethereal flow arrived at the true edge of the universe—the dimensional wall."

Jing Su pointed to a dense fog that was constantly changing shape at the edge and said, "Dimensional walls are the boundaries that separate different dimensions. They do not actually have the properties of being virtual or physical. They are the manifestation of the energy collision between dimensions."

"To use a somewhat inappropriate analogy, it's like a television screen in a broad sense. Outside the screen is the world you know, and inside the screen is a completely different dimension."

"However, this is just a metaphor. The reality of the dimensional wall is much more complex than a television screen."

Todd took a deep breath: "So, on the other side of the dimensional wall..."

Crystal Star moved the red light again, and the image representing the entire universe was shrunk once more.

The entire universe transformed into a sphere the size of a marble, with countless pale blue axonal channels "growing" on its surface, resembling the tentacles of a creature.

These tentacles extend outwards, connecting to numerous spheres identical to those in the universe.

The pale blue ethereal currents flowed and glowed like electric currents through the axonal channels between the spheres.
