Chapter Twenty-Two: I'm Not a Scoundrel

When he got to the other side of the house, the door was ajar. Fang Zong was not surprised at all and pushed the door open to go inside.

"Snap!" All the lights in the room came on.

At the same time, a strange melody rang out in the room, and the melody seemed to flow into Fang Zong's body, making his blood boil.

Fang Zong's heart was beating much faster than normal, his breathing became rapid, and his head felt like it weighed a ton!

He seriously doubted how long the slender neck could hold up to support the heavy head!

And then... that's right!

The delicious-smelling meat was served, and you all ran away? This isn't right! Now things are back to normal, in sync, and everything makes sense!

His head was spinning in waves, and his stomach was acting up as well, with the contents inside pounding against his throat like ocean waves crashing against the shore.

It felt like dying, even worse than death, but Fang Zong felt happy.

Feeling great!

"Dingdang, you have been attacked by Little Star Ghost. You have touched the Enchanting Voice ability +1!"

"Double kill! You have been attacked by Little Star Ghost, and touched the Enchanting Voice ability +1!"

"Triblekill! Touching the Enchanting Voice skill +1, you've already gone on a killing spree!"

Sure enough, Fang Zong was even happier.

But what's this "Meiyin"?

Fang Zong coughed and used his ability. He found that his voice had changed. It wasn't a change in tone or pitch, but rather a unique magnetism. If he had to describe it, it was as pleasant to hear as singing.

My dizziness and stomachache had subsided. Looking ahead, I saw a woman dressed in white veils sitting on a soft, Eastern European-style bed, singing a little tune.

The melody didn't seem strange at all; it was just melodious, pleasant, and beautiful!

But then, the sound abruptly stopped.

Little Star Ghost: ...I can't sing anymore.

"Keep singing!" Fang Zong urged, taking out his phone and scanning the QR code on the little star's profile.

The match was quickly found by matching with the FBI's database. It turned out to be a minor celebrity, a third-rate one, but she had been confirmed dead two years ago. The cause of death was... murder by her husband.

She cheated on her husband, and then was killed by a falling lamppost...

"The ability to use enchanting voices, hmm, it's somewhat useful." Fang Zong blinked.

He's a doctor, and those patients suffering from illness really need psychological comfort. His voice is especially useful now; once it becomes a magic weapon, it might even be able to replace anesthetics.

Fang Zong was fairly satisfied with this result.

He reached out, one hand touching the little star ghost, the other hand containing sword energy. Derailment collisions only work on physical objects, but sword energy is different; even if a ghost becomes ethereal, it can still intercept its escape.

We'll intercept as much as we can, and we'll take any chances we can get our hands on.

He won't suffer losses either way!

"A word of advice!"

Suddenly, the little star started crying, tears welling up in her eyes, looking pitiful and delicate.

Her shoulder strap slipped down, revealing her rounded shoulders and half of her plump, white, and perky breasts. She stole a glance at Fang Zong, her fearful eyes filled with a gleaming desire.

The little starlet pouted and cried out for help: "Sir, save me!"

Fang Zong watched coldly from the sidelines.

The little ghost was frantic: "Really, sir, please save me! There are so many bad ghosts outside! They're blocking my way and have trapped me here for two years! I know you're a powerful person, please rescue me. I'll do whatever you want..."

In the end, the little star hesitated, looking shy and timid, and the other shoulder strap slipped down.

This...it's not just half a bulging piece anymore, there are grapes too.

Fang Zong: ...What kind of person do you take me for?

And besides, I believed your lies!

An outlier is an outlier!

Although Ninth Sister is addicted to games and not very reliable, what she says still makes a lot of sense.

Ghosts that become spirits harbor great resentment and are filled with hatred for the living. Would she really beg for his help? If he left this place, the little star ghost would probably start thinking about how to kill him.

Let alone a minor celebrity ghost, even if it were the soul slave Laura, Fang Zong wouldn't trust her.

So he reached out and started touching.

He touched Little Star Ghost's forehead, but suddenly, Little Star Ghost gripped Fang Zong's wrist tightly and pulled down hard!

It's soft, bouncy, and perky.

Ninth Sister stared blankly at Fang Zong's hand, momentarily stunned, then immediately exploded:

"You pervert! Aaaaaaah!"

"Damn it!" The demonic sound filled his brain, and Fang Zong felt like his head was about to explode.

"What do you mean 'hooligan'? What do you mean 'rogue'? Stop yelling nonsense, I'm very innocent, okay!" Fang Zong couldn't help but roar angrily.

Ninth Sister: "Hmph."

Fang Zong felt utterly wronged. He wasn't interested in purple grapes at all! No, he wasn't interested in other people's wives!

Subconsciously, Fang Zong exerted force and pushed hard, his palm spitting out a silvery-white phantom. This push, carrying the sword energy of a sixth-level ability, directly pierced a hole in the little star ghost, turning it into a phantom.

Fang Zong: ...That's it?

He died instantly from a sword aura that was only at the sixth level?

The little star is surprisingly weak!

Fang Zong's face darkened; at this moment, he lost interest in the dozens of ghosts outside.

The little star ghost is so weak that even dozens of ghosts surrounding it would only be able to touch the lowest level of yin energy.

It's no use!

The room's lobby was dark and empty, with only a sofa, coffee table, and a soft bed in the style of Eastern Europe visible, but there was no ghost in sight.

Just as Fang Zong was about to leave, a series of snapping sounds suddenly rang out.
