Chapter 51 Chapter 51 "You are so good at acting like a spoiled child, I won't agree to your request..."

It was a dark and windy night, and everyone in the Qin family was fast asleep. A dark figure sneaked into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and took out the Japanese food that Liu Jingheng had packed. He drove five kilometers to the landfill, raised his hand, and the Japanese food package fell parabolically into the huge mountain of garbage.

After doing all this, Uncle Li clapped his hands and sent a message to Qin Du:

[Boss Qin, the things have been thrown away.]

Qin Du replied: [Thank you for your hard work. Please contact the owner of the Japanese restaurant and ask him to make another one according to the menu tomorrow morning.]

Uncle Li wiped the sweat off his face and gritted his teeth: [Okay.]

Qin Du didn't want Liu Jingheng to eat leftovers from the previous night. After fermenting in the refrigerator overnight, these things would become a petri dish for bacteria and fungi.

He regretted it when he packed up his things and went home. He threw them directly into the trash can. Unexpectedly, Liu Jingheng picked them out bag by bag, muttering to herself:

“This one is edible, and so is this one.”

Qin Du was afraid that when Liu Jingheng woke up the next day, she would be secretly saddened by the fact that the Japanese food had disappeared from the refrigerator, so he simply asked Uncle Li to contact the Japanese chef to make a fresh one the next morning to make it indistinguishable from the real thing.

Anyway, with Liu Jingheng's IQ, she couldn't figure out anything.

After several days, Qin Du finally had a good sleep tonight.

That night, a trending search rushed to the top of the Weibo rankings. It was originally ranked seventh, an advertising position that everyone knew could be obtained by paying money, but the content was too outrageous, and it rushed all the way to the top of the trending search.

The liquid foundation endorsed by Gu Chengfeng was exposed for exceeding the limit of lead and mercury, and it also exposed the fake live broadcast effects of other beauty products, tearing off the last fig leaf of unscrupulous and profiteering beauty products.

And in the audio provided by the mysterious person, Gu Chengfeng spoke in an arrogant and disdainful tone:

"Anyway, they just move on after a few shots, make some quick money and retire early. Who cares if they live or die? They're just a bunch of dinosaurs. No matter how good their makeup is, it can't hide the stench of wild beasts on their bodies."

Some people also found out that Gu Chengfeng's company disregarded labor laws, did not provide insurance for employees, withheld wages under various excuses, and forced employees to reward and purchase short dramas at their own expense, completely not treating them as human beings.

Netizens were angry:

[What kind of idiot is this? Let's all report this to the Consumers Association and the Market Supervision Bureau. If you see this idiot online again, it's your fault.]

Ah, Lightning Ball, why doesn't he even look in the mirror? He looks like a pig's head that was left overnight, and yet he has the nerve to come out and shout. He must be banned! Save our big eyes of Carslan! ]

First there were sanitary napkins, then cosmetics. Women's products are monopolized by the Chinese government. Isn't this simply harmful?

Don't generalize. Good men do exist, but they're rare. If Lightning Ball's assistant hadn't been so conscientious, we'd still be applying lead and mercury to our faces.

[Yes! The assistant is kind and beautiful. I strongly request that she debut as the center position!]

In the height of August, the air was filled with heat waves, burning the blue sky and setting off the sound of cicadas.

The Qin family's Wuheng system maintains a suitable temperature all year round. What wakes Qin Du up is the tireless chirping of cicadas in the courtyard.

After the science and technology exhibition, he took a good time to give himself a break. Even during the holidays, it was rare for him to sleep until noon like today.

After washing up, I went downstairs and planned to go to the kitchen to find some cool fruits. As soon as I entered the door, two gray clouds appeared in my eyes.

Liu Jingheng held Penny's hand and stood in front of the open refrigerator. The cold air seemed to freeze them. The man and the dog turned into a bone-chilled silver-blue. The world around them seemed to have experienced a great catastrophe. Everywhere they looked, there were ruins.

Qin Du walked around them and looked into the refrigerator, then turned around and called Uncle Li, lowering his voice:

"Here's the Japanese food I asked you to prepare."

Uncle Li: "Master Chu Yao made an appointment with his friends to go on a road trip to Tibet. Before leaving, he said he hadn't eaten anything, so he just..."

Qin Du took a deep breath and said concisely:

"Has he been using my supplementary card recently?"

Uncle Li: “Yes.”

Qin Du: "Stop."

Uncle Li smiled happily: "Okay! I'll get it done right away!"

Then, according to Qin Du's instructions, Uncle Li pulled up the Japanese chef who had gotten up early in the morning to finish a task and had just gone to bed for a nap, humiliated him with his financial ability, and asked him to make another one.

Then, avoiding Liu Jingheng's gaze, he took the Japanese food, packed it up like last night, and excitedly found Liu Jingheng with it:

"Jingjing, look at my brain. There was a power outage last night, and I put the Japanese food you brought back in the cold storage on the third floor. I almost forgot."

When Liu Jingheng saw the Japanese food that had been lost and found, a hint of joy appeared between her sullen brows. She did not consider at all why the cold storage could still operate normally during the power outage.

Penny also ate fresh Japanese food and lay obediently at Liu Jingheng's feet, waiting to be fed.

The sky outside the window was sunny in the morning, but now it is covered with dark clouds, and a thin layer of water vapor is attached to the dry air.

Before the rain started, Liu Jingheng took Penny and Nuomi for a walk in the courtyard.

The puppy longed for the outside world and jumped around in the yard like a happy little pony.

In front of the French window of the study, Qin Du, holding a cup of black tea, quietly looked at the scenery in the courtyard. He, a man, a dog and an otter were so happy that they forgot themselves and didn't know what the world was.

Qin Du, who was just taking a temporary rest, simply sat down on the sofa on the balcony, drank tea, and admired the beautiful scenery in front of him, with a faint smile on his lips.

Penny always liked to tease cats and otters. In order to chase the agile Sticky Rice, she took a leap of faith and fell straight into the fountain. She dug herself out and shook off the water like a washing machine.

The wet cotton ball rolled on the grass and instantly turned into a dirty rag.

"Oh..." Liu Jingheng picked up Penny and picked off the leaves on her body. "Little dirty dog, it's time to take a bath."

Penny: "Woof! (No no!)"

Liu Jingheng likes to give the kids a bath because of his special hobby. He likes to see the funny sight of the cotton balls with only a big round head left after getting wet, and he likes the sweet and soft smell of the cotton balls after they are blow-dried.

Qin Du went downstairs to get some water. When he passed by the bathroom, he heard laughter coming from inside.

Turning sideways, he took a look and saw that Liu Jingheng had finished washing Penny and Glutinous Rice, but was still not satisfied, so he forcibly dragged the cube over to wash it as well.

The kitten who didn't like taking a bath meowed anxiously and stretched out his little paws to ask Penny for help.

Penny brought the pet for washing and care, placed it at Liu Jingheng's feet, and held her head high with her chest puffed out, hiding her achievements and fame.

Qin Du suddenly stopped rushing to pour water and leaned against the door frame, quietly admiring this beautiful scene.

Liu Jingheng is indeed a machine. The smiling mechanism will only be triggered in special and unchanging scenarios.

Even though he was covered in fur and wet by the furry kids, the smile on the corner of his lips was like the shimmering amber wine in a glass. Then he stopped and thought for a long time, not knowing what he was thinking of.

Qin Du suddenly became curious about what this person was thinking about when he suddenly stopped, whether he was walking, eating, or doing other activities.

After the rumbling sound of the hair dryer stopped, the three children sat obediently at Liu Jingheng's feet, waiting for the reward of a nice bath.

Outside the window, heavy rain was pouring down.

Qin Du had just called his secretary to inquire about the company's situation when someone knocked on the door.

After he said "Come in", Liu Jingheng poked her head in from outside the door, holding an A4 paper in her hand:

"This is a new life plan."

Qin Du closed his laptop and said, "Sit down."

He took over Liu Jingheng's life plan and glanced at it casually. It was still in standard printed characters, square and neat, like blocks of tofu.

Look at the content again:

【Planning Project: Animal Keeper

Project cost: 0

Project profit: monthly salary 4K-6K

Project content: Daily feeding and care of cute pets at Jinhai Forest Wildlife Park, establishment of cute pet archives, and visitor interaction and scientific education.

This time, the life plan was still short and seemed to be copied from the recruitment information, but Qin Du read it over and over again.

After reading it, Qin Du put down the plan and asked Liu Jingheng:

"This job may be suitable for you, but have you considered the practical issues?"

Liu Jingheng:?

"Being a keeper isn't just about playing with the animals as you might think. You have to be physically fit and responsible for their entire lives, including their introduction, breeding, and health."

Liu Jingheng thought for a moment and said, "I'm very good at bathing animals."

Qin Du thought that breeders do more than just bathe animals.

Changing the subject, he continued:

"The zoo is in the suburbs 20 kilometers away. What solutions do you have for commuting?"

Liu Jingheng: "I will take the bus or subway..."

Qin Du looked at his hesitant face and chuckled:

"I'm not trying to discourage you, but I hope you'll think carefully about how to solve the current problem."

"Twenty kilometers. Without a subway line, you'd need to take the bus two to three hours early every day. Of course, you could also rent a house nearby." Qin Du circled the "cost" column in his life plan with his fingertips. "That way, the cost wouldn't just be zero."

Liu Jingheng lowered her head timidly. After a while, she came up with a plan:

"Can't you give me a ride?"

"Okay." Qin Du raised his eyebrows and said.

Liu Jingheng was stunned. She thought she would have to practice Tai Chi with Qin Du for a few more moves, but unexpectedly he agreed directly.

"Thanks……"

Before he could finish his thank you with a smile, he was interrupted by Qin Du:

"But I'm a little bored now, so please act a little coquettishly and let me see."

Liu Jingheng:.

After thinking hard for a long time, my pale brain burned out and crashed.

"You, wait a minute." Liu Jingheng left the room.

He found his phone, searched for "Sajiao Quotes", and found a suitable one based on the current context:

Please, please, if you don't agree to my request, your little cat will turn into a brain axe.

Liu Jingheng: What is a brain axe? He rarely spends time online, so he doesn't understand most of the internet memes.

In the study next door, Qin Du was getting a little sleepy while waiting. When he heard footsteps in the corridor, he sat up straight and fixed his hair.

Liu Jingheng came in.

Qin Du's eyes suddenly paused.

If I'm not mistaken, what Liu Jingheng is holding in her hand is indeed an axe.

Liu Jingheng was afraid that she would forget, so she quickly memorized the lines:

"Please, please, if you don't promise me..."

Very good, no errors so far.

But Qin Du interrupted him: "If I don't agree to you, are you going to use that to attack my head?"

He nodded his chin at the axe in Liu Jingheng's hand.

Liu Jingheng thought for a moment and held the axe tightly: "Is it okay?"

Qin Du's lips were pursed sharply and seriously. After a while, he relaxed:

"come over."

Liu Jingheng pressed forward with an axe in hand.

"Put this down." Qin Du took the axe from his hand, put it under the table, and kicked it into the gap with his toes.

Liu Jingheng didn't understand what was going on and stood beside Qin Du in a daze.

Qin Du stretched out his arm, grabbed his arm and exerted a little force. Liu Jingheng, whose limbs were extremely uncoordinated, stumbled and fell into his arms, sitting on his lap.

Before the conditioned reflex could fully run through her nerves, Liu Jingheng's body was firmly locked by a pair of strong and powerful arms.

Qin Du held the man in his arms, resting his chin on the top of his head. His large hands caressed his back from time to time, and his voice fell in a deep voice:

"You're such a spoiled brat, wouldn't it be unkind of me if I didn't agree to your request?"

Liu Jingheng:?

He glanced at the axe blade with a sharp edge under the table. He didn't expect Qin Du to like this kind of tune.

Then I heard Qin Du say:

"Submit your resume first. Go there tomorrow and get a clear understanding of the job description. If you have no objections, I'll find you a nice house nearby. Whenever you want to come back and live there, I'll also arrange for a driver to pick you up."

Liu Jingheng instinctively hugged Qin Du's shoulders, bit his earlobe gently, and said vaguely:

"Thank you, Ni."

After saying that, he struggled twice and jumped off Qin Du's legs, like a cold-blooded scumbag who walked away with his pants pulled up, and turned around to devote himself to the happy play time with Penny Nuomi.

Qin Du touched his wet earlobe, smiled and shook his head.

*

That night, at the Qin family’s dining table.

"I disagree." The old man heard about Liu Jingheng's work plan from Uncle Li and slammed the table. "Old Li is obviously unable to work anymore. The most urgent thing is to quickly train a new housekeeper. Instead, you just sent Teacher Xiao Liu to the suburbs. You are so selfish."

These words were said to Qin Du.

In my heart, I want to say: Do you understand what it means to be close to the water and get the moon first? It seems that as a father, I have to teach you a good lesson.

Qin Chuyao was bored and picked at the pasta, sneering:

"Everyone's job is determined by fate. If he likes to feed the animals and clean up their shit every day, then let him do it. With his education and expertise, he'll be serving others wherever he goes."

The old man said: "Chu Yao, you went to Tibet."

Qin Chuyao's face was tense and he didn't say anything.

I went there, but when I went to refuel halfway, I found that the supplementary card had been suspended and all the other consumption cards were frozen. All I had left was fifty yuan that I had left in my WeChat wallet at some point.

Qin Du cut the steak and said to Qin Chuyao:

"Why, your grandfather made his fortune by moving bricks at a construction site, and you're embarrassed by that?"

"I didn't say that..."

"Isn't that what you mean?" Qin Du sneered, "You come from a good family and the environment has given you everything, yet you start blaming others' misfortunes for not working hard enough."

"No..." Qin Chuyao lowered his head embarrassedly.

Although Old Man Qin loved his grandson, he couldn't help but feel secretly happy about Qin Du's remarks.

He pulled Liu Jingheng over and taught her earnestly:

"It doesn't matter. There's no distinction between high and low jobs. Without one, society can't function properly. Grandpa doesn't agree with you going because the location is too far. But if you like it, don't worry about what others say. Grandpa will strongly support you."

Then he sighed again:

"Life is full of suffering. If I can't marry the person I love, and if I can't do the job I love..."

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone present looked at the old man, with indescribable emotions surging in their eyes.

After dinner, Liu Jingheng received a big red envelope from Mr. Qin, a full 50,000 yuan.

He turned to Qin Du. In order to find the meaning of life, he resolutely devoted himself to frying French fries, and he owed Qin Du 50,000 yuan for the cost.

Now there are only 6,000 yuan left, which is also the hard work fee and compensation that Qin Du asked for him.

Before going to bed, Liu Jingheng wandered around the Qin family mansion and finally caught Nuomi from outside the unapproachable room on the third floor.

I don’t know what’s inside that attracts Nuomi. Every day he climbs up when no one is paying attention and keeps peeking inside through the crack in the door with his little head.

Liu Jingheng was reminded by the nanny again:

"Teacher Xiao Liu, Mr. Qin doesn't allow anyone to enter this room. Please keep an eye on the pet, otherwise we will be punished if something happens."

Liu Jingheng nodded, looked deeply at the tightly closed old wooden door, and returned to the room with Nuomi in her arms.

Liu Jingheng might have some idea why Qin Du was so nervous about this room.

Because this was the room his mother lived in before her death, and because he was the one who took off his mother's oxygen mask with his own hands. Perhaps the cold-blooded villain still had a trace of humanity in his heart at this time, and he did not let anyone set foot in, and also did not want to be reminded of the past when he saw it.

The next day.

Midsummer is often accompanied by heavy rainfall. It has been raining for three days and there is still no sign of it stopping today.

Liu Jingheng woke up in a daze when Qin Du called her, and saw figures standing around the bed.

In addition to Qin Du, there are three little ones, Old Man Qin and Uncle Li.

Liu Jingheng felt a chill on her back and subconsciously tightened her body.

Everyone felt sorry for Liu Jingheng who was going to live a hard life. They didn't sleep well last night, so they got up early to see her off and kept giving her many instructions.

It happened that Qin Du was resting at home these days, so he declined the driver's offer and drove Liu Jingheng to the interview himself.

Although the distance was far, it was possible to go around it directly by taking the highway. In just half an hour, Liu Jingheng arrived at the zoo, which was 20 kilometers away on paper.

Qin Du unbuckled his seat belt and asked Liu Jingheng to go in by herself. He planned to go around and see if there was any suitable house.

Liu Jingheng met the director of the zoo, a middle-aged woman with neat short hair. She looked decisive but kind. She said bluntly:

"Each of our keepers is responsible for a different species of animal. It just so happens that the raccoon keepers had to resign due to mental health issues. Summer vacation is our busiest time, and I'm urgently hiring. I discussed the salary with you on WeChat. There are no hidden fees. The salary is exactly what it is. Do you have any questions?"

Liu Jingheng shook her head.

Then he asked: "Psychological problem, what kind of psychological problem is it?"

The headmaster thought for a moment and stood up: "Come with me."

Liu Jingheng followed the director to the Raccoon Museum, where in addition to raccoons, there were also red pandas, martens and other small animals.

As soon as she entered the door, Liu Jingheng's eyes lit up.

Heaven...Heaven!

Arriving in front of the red panda's house, Liu Jingheng saw seven or eight chubby red pandas either resting or playing with the rings. Only one red panda with gray fur and skinny bones lay motionless in the corner, which looked out of place with the other active little guys around it.

The headmaster said:

"This red panda is called Lily. She used to be a bit of a glutton. Once, while interacting with tourists, she saw a child holding an apple and, overcome with greed, snatched it up, scaring the child. Her parents, perhaps overly worried about their child, kicked her several times in desperation. From that day on, Lily refused to eat or drink, hiding in a corner every day. She lost several pounds, and her health indicators plummeted."

At this point, the headmaster sighed:

"The original keeper was a sensitive person, and he took all the responsibility on himself. He tried his best to care for Sayuri and even consulted a veterinarian, but to no avail. Over time, he couldn't get over the emotional pain and had to resign."

"How pitiful..." Liu Jingheng couldn't help but say.

Although it is wrong to steal people's things, beating and kicking them as punishment is really too much.

When the director opened the door of the room where the red pandas were kept, the awake little ones dragged their chubby bodies over and warmly clung to the director.

Liu Jingheng's gaze fell on Sayuri, who was indifferent to the director's arrival and refused to even glance at him.

The head teacher was being conservative in his description of the parent's behavior at the time. In reality, when he saw the child's apple being snatched away, the burly man kicked Sayuri so hard that she couldn't get up. Not only that, he also grabbed her tail and punched her on the forehead several times, making her whimper and cry.

If the keeper hadn't arrived in time, the man would have lifted Sayuri up and thrown her to death. In the end, he paid compensation and the matter was settled, but Sayuri had to endure the pain alone.

In the words of the vet, the child is depressed.

Liu Jingheng sat down next to Sayuri and took out a box of cut fruit from her bag.

This is the snack Uncle Li prepared for him. He said the weather is hot and asked him to eat it on the way.

He picked the largest and brightest strawberry and placed it next to Sayuri's mouth, coaxing her:

"Eat it, it's sweet."

Sayuri hugged her big tail, looked at Strawberry dejectedly, and let out a grieved snort through her nose.

Seeing this, the headmaster sighed:

"It's no use. We've tried everything, but it won't even look at its favorite apple."

As soon as she finished speaking, other employees came over and called her, saying that another interviewee had arrived.

The head teacher gave a few instructions and then rushed to the interview.

In fact, she had no hope for Liu Jingheng and no intention of keeping him.

Among the resumes she had received these days, Liu Jingheng's was the least impressive. He was not from a relevant major and had no work experience. After meeting him in person, she felt that he was not very fluent in speaking and not very smart. In addition to dealing with animals, animal keepers naturally had to be good at dealing with humans.

She was very satisfied with the new interviewer, who was a veterinarian with many years of experience working in large zoos. He was also very smart, so she immediately arranged a trial with him.

The director took the interviewee to visit the zoo. Seeing that the interviewee knew the habits of various animals very well, he liked him even more. He then notified the staff to find Liu Jingheng and asked him to go back and wait for a notice that would never come.

The employee went away and came back again after a while.

He was out of breath, his eyes wide open: "Director! Sayuri...!"

Before she could finish her words, she was interrupted anxiously by the headmaster: "What's wrong with Sayuri?"

“It…it ate!!!”

A group of people hurried over to check, and as soon as they stopped, shock appeared on their faces.

In the far corner of the breeding hut, several curious red pandas gathered around Liu Jingheng and Xiao Baihe.

Liu Jingheng was just like the little panda next to her. She crawled on all fours, lowered her head, and took bites of the fruit pieces in the lunch box, chewing them.

Sayuri next to him stared at him with her dark, moist round eyes for a long time, then cautiously stretched out her hands in front of Liu Jingheng.

Liu Jingheng lowered her head, took a bite of the apple, and gently placed it in Xiao Baihe's palm.

Sayuri looked at Liu Jingheng and then at the apple, and cautiously tried to bite a small piece of the edge, making a crunching sound.

The other red pandas seemed unwilling to be left out, and used their hands and feet to climb onto Liu Jingheng's back, using his body as a cushion.

Others were quick enough to steal a handful of fruit from his lunch box and ran away without caring about anyone.

Sayuri finished the apple in her hand slowly, picked up her big tail again, and stared at the lunch box in Liu Jingheng's hand.

Liu Jingheng picked up a small grape and held it high.

Sayuri tentatively stretched out her hand, and when the grapes fell into her palm, everyone saw unprecedented anticipation and joy on the animal's face.

Liu Jingheng stroked Sayuri's head and comforted her softly:

"That's right, good boy, this is how you eat. Have you learned it?"

After eating the grapes, Sayuri put down her big tail, and wrapped her two stubby little hands around Liu Jingheng's arms. She hummed and tried to get into his arms using her hands and feet like a cat.

"Oh my god..." The employee was stunned, "Sayuri is really eating."

The head teacher felt a pang of sadness when he saw this scene.

Sayuri was the first red panda introduced to the zoo. It was her arrival that gave the poorly managed zoo a chance to revive, so the director's feelings for her are more special than those for others.

She didn't want to give up Sayuri, but even after consulting so many famous doctors, nothing could be done.

Today, we saw Liu Jingheng put aside her human dignity and lie on the ground to imitate the eating posture of a red panda, trying to give some ideas to Sayuri, who had forgotten how to eat. Sayuri did not disappoint everyone. After suffering depression and anorexia from being violently beaten, she learned to trust humans again and took a brave step.

The head teacher shed tears.

She turned around and said to the person who interviewed her later:

"I'm sorry, but if you're willing to serve as a reserve breeder, you're welcome. But right now, I think the children's feelings are more important than mine."

The interviewer shook his head, said "speechless", and walked away with a downcast face.

In the room, Sayuri hugged Liu Jingheng's waist tightly, and from time to time she reached out to take a small piece of fruit and munched on it.

Although it couldn't figure out whether the person in front of it was a human or a companion who looked more like a human, it knew that it didn't need to fight for the food it wanted, as someone was willing to share their love with it sincerely.

The other red pandas also surrounded Liu Jingheng, asking him to hug them and pulling his sleeves to ask him to take them to play on the slide.

The director of the zoo was in no hurry to urge Liu Jingheng, but waited quietly for him to play with the red pandas. Only when the zoo opened did he have no choice but to call Liu Jingheng over.

Liu Jingheng walked out, and several red pandas held his legs and wouldn't let him go. Liu Jingheng struggled to move forward.GIF

In the office, the director cordially expressed his hope that Liu Jingheng would stay, and asked if he had any questions about his salary and benefits. He also carefully inquired about his commuting situation and suggested:

"The probation period is two months. If you perform well, you can be hired as a full-time employee in one month. We'll also take care of your salary and insurance during the probation period. If commuting is inconvenient for you, we can help you apply for employee housing or rental subsidies. Do you have any other questions?"

Liu Jingheng thought for a moment and asked greedily:

"Although I'm only responsible for the raccoon family, can you pet the little tiger?"

"It's possible if there is time." The head teacher laughed and cried.

The talk was almost over, and Liu Jingheng and the headmaster agreed to officially start work tomorrow. Before leaving, the headmaster specially held Sayuri in his arms to see her off. Sayuri held the big apple in her arms and looked at him reluctantly.

The director also gave Liu Jingheng a felt red panda pendant as a gift.

Liu Jingheng stood at the entrance of the zoo, looking up at the gray sky.

In literary works, the environment is often used to set off the protagonist's current mood, but Liu Jingheng's heart at this moment can fly directly to a height of 90,000 miles, dispel the dark clouds and drizzle, and send warm light to the world.

He waited on the roadside for a long time before he saw Qin Du's car slowly approaching.

As soon as he got in the car, Qin Du said:

"Have you been waiting for a long time?"

Liu Jingheng: "Yes."

Qin Du started the car: "If you admit it like this, I will think you are blaming me. Call me before the end next time."

"There won't be a next time." Liu Jingheng pinched the felt panda. "The director told me to come to work tomorrow."

Qin Du raised his eyebrows, seeming a little bit unbelievable.

In fact, he didn't have much hope for Liu Jingheng. She didn't come from a related major and wasn't smart enough.

So he asked, "Is the headmaster a man or a woman?"

Liu Jingheng: "Female."

Qin Du frowned: "What age?"

Liu Jingheng: "I don't know, maybe around 40 or 50 years old."

Qin Du: "Are you married?"

Liu Jingheng stared at him blankly: "How should I know?"

Qin Du breathed a sigh of relief, but knowing he had lost his composure, he cleared his throat to cover up.

After a brief silence, Liu Jingheng took the initiative to break the silence for the first time.

I wasn't trying to find a topic, I was just excitedly saying:

"There's a red panda in the park. Her name is Lily. She's a little depressed and won't eat or drink. She ignores everyone except me and only eats what I give her."

Qin Du glanced at Liu Jingheng out of the corner of his eye. The child was smiling with his eyes curved. He, who had always been dull and rigid, also made some uncontrollable body movements, imitating the round body of a red panda, and when he talked about his next plan, he clenched his fist firmly.

Qin Du listened to his story, his fingers gripping the steering wheel loosened, and beautiful dimples appeared on both sides of his mouth.

For some reason, he was in a good mood. It seemed that as long as Liu Jingheng showed her happiness, he would feel that the gray weather above his head was really good, the crowded roadway would be unobstructed, and the rude drivers who overtook him would also look pleasing to the eye.

After returning home, Liu Jingheng told everyone about his heroic deeds at the zoo today.

The sentence "Sayuri ignores everyone but me and only eats what I give her" has nagged everyone's ears until calluses form.

No one showed any impatience. As long as Liu Jingheng asked him to repeat it, he would immediately stop what he was doing and listen again. He would also repeat the praise he had repeated more than ten times:

"Our Jingjing is amazing. You are the chosen one of the red pandas."

Perhaps only Qin Chuyao was chirping behind the scenes:

"It's ridiculous. A grown man earning four or five thousand a month, what can he achieve?"

*

On the first day of work, Qin Du knew that Liu Jingheng had a bad memory, so he gave him a new iPad as a work record book.

Yesterday he took a walk around the zoo, but couldn't find a satisfactory house in the row of old and dilapidated houses in the suburbs. So he decided to run around like this to see if he could find an old house to renovate so that Liu Jingheng could live more comfortably.

For this purpose, he specially hired a great interior designer and contacted the property management to pay for the installation of an elevator.

I sent Liu Jingheng to work and it was almost noon when I came back.

It’s not that the journey is far, but he used the excuse of visiting the zoo to observe Liu Jingheng’s work.

Just as Qin Du thought, Liu Jingheng was slow in doing everything, and it was obvious that he was really trying hard. Fortunately, the old employee was kind and willing to guide him, so the morning went smoothly.

Qin Du returned home and just put down the car keys when he heard the nanny exclaim:

"God damn it, why did you go up there again? Please spare us!"

Another nanny complained:

"It's enough to serve people, but you still have to serve animals."

The two of them took Xiao Nuomi's hand and carried it down from the upstairs.

Seeing Qin Du at the door, the two of them immediately let go and lowered their heads in fear:

"Qin, Mr. Qin, you're back."

Qin Du loosened his tie, a hint of blue sullenness between his brows, and said indifferently:

"What's the point of catching it?"

The two dared not to breathe. Little Nuomi whimpered and tried to complain with a face full of grievance. One of the nannies was afraid that Qin Du would misunderstand her, so she explained in a panic:

"This little otter keeps running to Madam's room on the third floor. I don't know what attracts it... It's because you said no one is allowed to enter that room that I..."

Qin Du said, "I understand, you guys go and do your work," and had no intention of holding the nannies accountable.

A nanny returns halfway through her journey:
