Chapter 7, you only remember him?

Chapter 7, you only remember him?

Luo Xincheng felt that the image of her and Fu Zhiheng smiling at each other would look very strange.

So she quickly lowered her lips and started planning to leave.

Just then, a clear male voice came from behind Fu Zhiheng.

"Zhiheng, why are you here all alone?"

Fu Zhiheng turned his head at the sound and saw a boy with short blue-gray hair and a somewhat immature face.

“It’s not just one person,” he explained succinctly.

"Huh? Are there any other people here?"

The blue-haired boy quickened his pace and moved closer. When he caught sight of Luo Xincheng on the inside, his eyes lit up.

"Sister Chengcheng!"

"My God, you weren't turned into a vegetable after the accident!"

Luo Xincheng rolled her eyes so hard they almost reached the sky. "Even if you became a vegetable, I wouldn't become a vegetable, okay?!"

The blue-haired boy's name is Li Shuyi. For a while, he always followed behind her cousin Wang Jiayan. If I remember correctly, he is three years younger than her and is currently a sophomore in college.

Despite being rolled his eyes at, Li Shuyi didn't seem annoyed at all. He smiled and spoke in a soft voice, which sounded more like a coquettish complaint than a complaint, "It's been so long since we last met, don't be so cold."

After saying that, he approached with a warm smile and pushed aside the obstacle in the middle without saying another word.

"I was so heartbroken when I heard you were in a car accident and became a vegetable. I almost cried!"

Fu Zhiheng, who was suddenly pushed away: ? ! !

He frowned, silently grabbed Li Shuyi by the back of his collar and pulled him backward, then returned to his original position, his presence clearly visible as he stood between the two.

Li Shuyi: ?

He gave Fu Zhiheng a strange look and tentatively pushed him away.

...Hilarious, it's impossible to push it.

He raised an eyebrow in slight surprise. "Zhiheng, you really like this position?"

Fu Zhiheng hummed in agreement, "This place is perfect for enjoying the breeze."

"Is that so?"

Li Shuyi shrugged, then reluctantly bypassed him and walked up to Luo Xincheng, looking her up and down.

He skillfully kept his gaze on her for only a few seconds before quickly looking away.

"Thank goodness it wasn't smashed to pieces."

He nodded, a look of satisfaction on his face.

Luo Xincheng looked impatient. "Where did you hear this rumor from? You believe everything people say?"

"After all, a lot of people are spreading the rumor, and it's been so long since I've seen Sister Chengcheng. As for who told the story..." He stroked his chin, pondered for a moment, and then said in a seemingly ambiguous tone, "It seems to be Mo Qiaoyi? I just vaguely remember it being her, I can't really remember clearly..."

Luo Xincheng denied it without hesitation, "Impossible."

Li Shuyi's eyelids twitched, and he tilted his head with a blank expression. "Why? She and Sister Chengcheng have never gotten along, so it's not impossible that she would say something like that."

"Haha, how could that be!" Li Shuyi immediately interrupted her, his laughter hearty. "So many years have passed, I would have forgotten long ago if you hadn't mentioned it!"

Luo Xincheng crossed her arms and looked at him expressionlessly.

After staring at each other for two seconds, Li Shuyi looked away first, scratching the back of his head as if deep in thought, "Hmm... if it's not Mo Qiaoyi, it should be Xu Shengmin."

“Him?” Luo Xincheng immediately showed a look of disgust, and said with certainty, “It makes perfect sense if it’s him, that scoundrel who is good at spreading rumors and causing trouble.”

That man had pursued her before, but after being rejected, he kept pestering her. Luo Xincheng couldn't stand him anymore, so she found an opportunity to fight him and ended up breaking two of his ribs, leaving him in the hospital for two months.

After that, Xu Shengmin hated her completely. Every time he saw her, he would glare at her and cause her a lot of trouble, both openly and secretly.

Li Shuyi's eyes crinkled into a smile. "You believe me just because I said it's him? Aren't you afraid I'm wrong?"

Luo Xincheng snorted coldly, "His crimes are too numerous to count, and this one is no exception."

Li Shuyi laughed happily, "So much hatred, huh?"

He laughed as he leaned closer to her as if they were old friends, once again pushing Fu Zhiheng away.

Fu Zhiheng took a deep breath, pushed him away again, and emphasized with barely suppressed anger, "Don't push me."

Li Shuyi turned around in shock, as if he had just realized that he was still there, his eyes wide open.

"Zhiheng-ge, you're still here? I'm so sorry, I completely forgot about you as soon as I saw Chengcheng-jie!"

Fu Zhiheng ignored him, turned his head to look at Luo Xincheng, and said in a flat voice without any emotion, "Him, you remember him?"

Isn't it said that memory is confused and many people forget many things?

Luo Xincheng understood his implication and replied immediately, "I've known him since I was little, so I remember him quite well."

Li Shuyi's probing gaze darted back and forth between the two of them. Although he didn't understand what they were saying, it didn't stop him from chiming in, "Yes! Chengcheng and I have known each other since we were little, we're childhood sweethearts!"

Luo Xincheng said coolly, "We're just 'acquaintances' and we only see each other a few times a year. If this is considered childhood sweethearts, then my childhood sweethearts could stretch from Beijing to the Mariana Trench."

Upon hearing this blunt criticism, Fu Zhiheng's tightly furrowed brows instantly relaxed, and his complexion improved considerably.

Li Shuyi's smile remained undiminished as he complained in a joking tone, "How heartless, Sister Chengcheng! She didn't give me any face at all."

"Is your pride worth that much?" Luo Xincheng wasn't buying it at all. And there was something she'd wanted to say for a long time: "Also, don't call me 'sister,' it's like we're old friends."

Her own cousin calls her by her full name, but this unrelated man calls her "sister."

Li Shuyi: "..."

After being repeatedly and mercilessly attacked, even though he was very patient, he could no longer maintain his smile.

His face fell, his brows furrowed, revealing obvious irritation. "It's been so long, and you're still as sarcastic as ever, Luo Xincheng. You haven't changed at all, still so unlikable."

He no longer spoke in a deliberately high-pitched voice as before; his voice had become much rougher, and coupled with his impatient tone, the effect was a stark contrast to his delicate face.

Luo Xincheng seemed to accept it well, patting her ear as if she was unwilling to be bothered, "You damn clamp, you should have spoken normally a long time ago. Can you speak? The sound you make has really caused my ears a lot of suffering."

Li Shuyi pouted unhappily, but then, as if imagining something else, his eyes lit up. "So you mean you prefer my natural voice?"

Luo Xincheng was so shocked that she was speechless and forgot to control her expression. She obviously did not expect him to be so presumptuous.

Just as he was about to speak, Fu Zhiheng casually asked him, "Do you think your natural voice sounds good?"

Li Shuyi: "..."

He was speechless for a moment, then looked directly into Fu Zhiheng's eyes and said stubbornly, "I think it sounds pretty good!"

Fu Zhiheng nodded slightly and said, "Having confidence is a good thing."

"..." Li Shuyi slowly curled the corners of his mouth, staring at him with eyes devoid of any smile, "I didn't expect you to be so ruthless with your words, Brother Zhiheng, it's quite surprising."

Fu Zhiheng said calmly, "We're not that close, so let's not call each other 'brother'."

Li Shuyi: "..."

Seeing that he was speechless after being choked, Luo Xincheng immediately laughed, not wanting to miss the fun. "I told you not to pretend to be so lively and familiar. If you insist on being friendly to people who don't appreciate it, you'll only end up being the one who's embarrassed."

Luo Xincheng rubbed her arms in disgust, feeling goosebumps all over. "Can't you be normal? You're really disgusting."

She was too lazy to argue with this person, so she pushed him aside and walked away with her head down.

"Where are you going?" Li Shuyi, oblivious to his own shamelessness, chased after him again, speaking quickly, "Are you going to see Brother Jiayan?"

Luo Xincheng hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

Wang Jiayan loves crowds, and he is always surrounded by a group of people whenever he is seen.

It is said that birds of a feather flock together. Most of the people who are on good terms with Wang Jiayan are big gossips who share the same bad taste. Any gossip they have will spread very quickly. If she walks over and walks around in front of them, she should be able to clear up the absurd rumors about herself in no time, right?

Li Shuyi immediately perked up, as excited as a primary school student about to go on a field trip, "Great! I want to find him too! I even saw him when I came up!"

Seeing Fu Zhiheng turn around as if to follow, he smiled and subtly stepped forward to stop him.

"Zhiheng, you can stay here and enjoy the breeze, it's refreshing!"

As he spoke, he pressed the other person's shoulder and pushed them further into the terrace, his smile growing even brighter as he lowered his voice to a level that only the two of them could hear.

"Anyway, none of the people Chengcheng and I are going to meet are familiar with you. If you go with us, you won't fit in, and that would be so awkward. Chengcheng will feel uncomfortable too, right?"

After saying that, he took a quick step back, caught up with Luo Xincheng in a few strides, and took her hand without asking. "Let's go, I'll take you to find Brother Jiayan!"

Luo Xincheng shook off his hand, "Don't give me that."

The hand wrapped around her wrist didn't use much force to begin with, and it was easily shaken off.

For some reason, the person didn't follow. His tall figure leaned against the flower wall at the edge of the terrace, as if he had put all his weight on it, and he exuded a weariness that she had never seen before.

The flowers, in full bloom, were extremely flamboyant, and in the deep shadows cast downwards, his body was divided into two parts, one in light and one in darkness.

The side of her face facing the light source looked strange; her skin was slightly bluish, and her tightly pursed lips had an unnatural redness from being congested, with specks of moisture floating on them.

When she turned around, he was looking in her direction.

Did the two make eye contact for even a moment during this process? Luo Xincheng wasn't sure, because his glasses reflected a faint blue light, so she wasn't sure if he was looking at her.

However, thinking about these things seems pointless.

She looked away and slowly began to comb her hair, which had been ruffled by the wind, without turning back.
