Chapter 5 Original Story

This happened shortly before the apocalypse.

Lu Shiyan, the son of Su's father's business partner, has just transferred to the university where the original owner is studying.

On the day of enrollment, he became the focus.

Naturally, this also includes the original owner Su Wan.

The eldest daughter of the Su family has always been spoiled and she never fails to get whoever she sets her eyes on.

She thought Lu Shiyan would also bow down.

Lu Shiyan rejected her with undisguised disgust in his eyes.

This angered the original owner.

What made her even more jealous was that Lu Shiyan actually looked at the "white lotus" heroine who was against her at every turn with a different eye.

Jealousy and anger gnawed at the original owner.

At the beginning of the apocalypse, order was in chaos. Taking advantage of the Lu family's loss of power, the original owner abducted the lone Lu Shiyan, imprisoned him, and tortured him.

She naively thought she could break his pride and make him surrender.

So stupid.

Thinking of what the original owner had done to him... Su Wan's stomach churned.

It will be enough for him to grind himself into dust a hundred times in the future.

The door was pushed open completely.

Light poured into the filth.

Su Wan stood at the door, wearing a white dress.

I just picked it up from the cloakroom because it was the least like the original owner's flamboyant style.

At this moment, the pure white contrasted sharply with the dirty blood stains of the cell.

She was like an angel who accidentally strayed into purgatory, her skirt brushing against the dark stains.

Lu Shiyan raised his head and stared at her.

His body was weak, but the storm in his eyes was enough to destroy everything.

The hatred was thick, and there was also the madness of a beast that was forced into a desperate situation.

He looked at her as if she were a pile of disgusting garbage.

His eyes moved across Su Wan's cheeks and neck, and stopped at her clean white dress.

The corners of his lips curled up very slowly, with mockery and cruelty.

Su Wan's heart clenched.

Fear poured down from above my head, freezing my limbs.

Teeth chattering slightly.

The instinct to retreat tugged at her nerves, screaming at her to flee.

Can't escape.

She forced herself to stand firm, digging her nails into her palms, using the pain to keep herself clear-headed.

The air solidified.

The smell of blood, sweat, and despair mixed together like a poison.

She saw the bloody mess from the chains on his wrists, the hideous whip marks under his shirt, and the bruises on his face.

They were all left by the original owner.

Su Wan swallowed hard.

Something must be done.

Break the silence.

"You..." She finally spoke, her voice was dry and trembling, completely different from the original owner.

With one word, the mockery in Lu Shiyan's eyes deepened.

He seemed to be waiting for her to say something vicious and humiliating, as she always did.

She took a small step forward, her high heels making a harsh sound.

Vigilance and murderous intent surged in Lu Shiyan's eyes.

Su Wan stopped immediately.

She pulled something out of her pocket.

A small bottle of clean water and a small piece of individually wrapped bread.

When I returned to the bedroom, I took it from the small refrigerator in the room.

She gently placed the water and bread on a relatively clean ground not far from Lu Shiyan.

Then, slowly take two steps back.

"…eat something first." His voice was still trembling, but he tried to keep it steady. "Drink some water."

After doing all this, she was almost exhausted.

Cold sweat soaked the fabric on my back, and my white skirt stuck to my skin, feeling cold.

Lu Shiyan looked at the water and bread on the ground, then slowly raised his head and looked at Su Wan.

The brutality and hatred in his eyes had not diminished, but instead were filled with deep scrutiny and suspicion.

What tricks is she trying to play?

Tempt him with food and water?

Or has something new and torturous been added to it?

He pulled the corners of his mouth and let out a slight, hoarse sneer.

"roll."

With one word, the poisoned ice blade stabbed towards Su Wan.

Su Wan's body shook.

As expected.

She didn't say anything else, just stood there, looking at him from a few steps away.

His cheeks were pale, with only his lips showing any color.

She just stood there, wearing a white dress that didn't fit in with the place. She was like a sudden burst of bright color, so fragile that it seemed like it would go out at any time.

Time passes.

There were only two people's suppressed breathing in the cell.

Lu Shiyan didn't touch the food or water, his eyes were always fixed on Su Wan, as if he was studying a strange prey.

Something is wrong with Su Wan today.

There is no more arrogance of the past, and no more charity from a superior position.

In her eyes, there was fear, nervousness, and even... a hint of cautiousness... of weakness that he had never seen before?

This realization made Lu Shiyan’s heart even more violent.

Show weakness?

In front of him?

This woman who treated him as a plaything and tortured him and trampled on his dignity now showed this expression in front of him.

"I know you hate me." She spoke again, her voice a little steadier.

Lu Shiyan stared at her coldly.

"You are very weak now. Eat something first."

There was a flash of sarcasm in Lu Shiyan's eyes.

Su Wan felt powerless.

The cruel arc at the corner of his mouth widened a little, and his voice was hoarse but clear: "Is this... a new method of torture?"
