Chapter 429 Moral kidnapping?

Xiao Yi's mouth curled up into a sneer. He looked at these familiar yet unfamiliar faces in front of him, and an indescribable disgust surged in his heart. He knew that these people did not really need his help. They just wanted to get something for nothing and use his kindness and generosity to satisfy their own greed.

He spoke calmly, a hint of sarcasm in his voice: "Help everyone? Do you really need help? Or do you just want to get something for nothing and enjoy the fruits of other people's labor?"

His words were like a heavy hammer, hitting those greedy people hard. Their faces turned ugly in an instant, but Xiao Yi did not stop his ridicule: "You keep saying you need help, but have you really done anything? You just wait here for others to give you alms, but you never think about working hard to get it yourself."

Xiao Yi's words were like a sharp sword, piercing through the hypocritical moral veil. His words were full of disgust and dissatisfaction. He hated those who only knew how to take and not how to give. They made him feel disappointed and sad about this village that was once full of warmth.

The surrounding villagers were speechless after hearing what Xiao Yi said. They all lowered their heads, not daring to look him in the eye. Xiao Yi turned and left the place. He didn't want to have anything to do with these greedy and hypocritical people anymore.

In the afterglow of the setting sun, Xiao Yi's back looked particularly lonely and determined. He knew that he could not change the greed and hypocrisy of these people, but he could choose to stay away from them and protect his kindness and sincerity. He would continue to protect this home in his own way, not being moved by those greedy people, and only giving to those who truly deserve his help.

As night falls, the stars dot the deep sky, and everything seems to be immersed in tranquility and peace. However, around Xiao Yi's shelter, some restless factors are hidden.

Xiao Yi finished a day of patrolling and returned home feeling a little tired. He pushed open the door, only to find the house completely silent, a little different from usual. His eyes immediately became sharp, as years of combat experience had made him highly alert to any anomalies.

He put down the items in his hand, walked gently to the window, and observed the situation outside through the window. He saw several dark shadows flashing in the night, they approached Xiao Yi's house stealthily, as if looking for the right opportunity to sneak in.

A hint of coldness flashed in Xiao Yi's eyes. He knew that these people were the greedy villagers who were still trying to steal things under his nose. He did not take action immediately, but waited quietly, wanting to see what tricks these people could come up with.

Sure enough, after a while, a dark shadow quietly pushed open the door of Xiao Yi's house, and he tiptoed in. However, before he could make any move, he was caught by Xiao Yi from behind.

"Who?" The black shadow turned around in horror, and when he saw it was Xiao Yi, his face suddenly turned pale.

"Xiao Yi, you...why are you here?" he asked stutteringly.

Xiao Yi looked at him coldly, saying nothing. He knew these people were driven by greed, but their actions disgusted him deeply. He pushed the shadowy figure out of the door and said to the others, "If you want to steal, you'll have to get past me first. But I have to tell you, stealing won't end well."

Those who originally wanted to sneak in were frightened and retreated after hearing Xiao Yi's words. They knew that Xiao Yi was not an easy person to deal with, and his strength and methods were not comparable to theirs.

Under the shining starlight, Xiao Yi's figure appeared particularly tall. He did not let those greedy people succeed. He used his actions to protect his home and dignity. He knew that only in this way could he truly protect his beliefs and values and not let greed and hypocrisy erode his heart.

The night was as dark as ink, the stars dim. Xiao Yi stood in front of the simple wooden house, his eyes as sharp as torches, staring at the shadows gradually gathering in front of him. He knew that those greedy and vicious people had come to his door again. They were not satisfied with their previous failures and gathered again with malicious intent, trying to challenge his bottom line.

Xiao Yi's hand tightly grasped a dagger, which was his most trusted weapon in many years of fighting. The dagger's blade gleamed coldly under the faint starlight, like a hibernating venomous snake, waiting for its prey to arrive.

The whispers and greedy eyes of the crowd were like invisible sharp arrows, trying to break through Xiao Yi's inner defenses. However, his eyes became more determined, as if there was an invisible force supporting him.

Suddenly, a loud shout came from the crowd, and a burly man rushed out of the crowd, holding a wooden stick, and ran straight towards Xiao Yi. He had a ferocious smile on his face, as if he had already seen Xiao Yi fall at his feet.

However, Xiao Yi's movements were faster than his. He dodged the fierce blow with a flash of his body, then quickly rushed forward, the dagger in his hand turned into a cold light, and pierced the man's throat.

With a light "puff" sound, the dagger's blade pierced the man's throat, and blood gushed out instantly, staining his clothes red. The man's eyes were full of disbelief. He never thought that he would die so easily in Xiao Yi's hands.

There was a cry of surprise from the crowd. They were shocked by Xiao Yi's decisiveness and ruthlessness. However, Xiao Yi did not stop his actions. He was like a tiger descending from the mountain, knocking down those greedy people one after another.

The dagger drew cold rays in the night, and every swing was accompanied by a scream or a fall to the ground. Those who were once greedy and vicious were now as fragile as scarecrows under Xiao Yi's dagger.
