Chapter 429 Moral kidnapping?

When the last greedy man fell to the ground, Xiao Yi put away the dagger in his hand. There was no mercy or guilt on his face, only indifference and determination. He knew that he did this to protect himself and those who truly deserved his help.

The night breeze blew gently, carrying away the bloody smell in the air. Xiao Yi stood in front of the wooden house, gazing at the mountains in the distance, and an indescribable sense of satisfaction surged in his heart. He knew that he finally didn't have to be soft-hearted to those greedy and vicious people anymore.

Xiao Yi's eyes were like the coldest north wind on a winter night, sharp and piercing. His eyes were like two icebergs that hadn't melted for a thousand years, deep and cold, revealing an unquestionable majesty. When his gaze fell on those greedy and vicious people, the disgust revealed in his eyes seemed to be able to freeze them instantly.

His eyes were filled with disdain and contempt, as if he were looking at a group of filthy, lowly reptiles. His pupils narrowed slightly, like a cheetah staring at its prey, filled with vigilance and hostility. His eyes contained no trace of sympathy or pity, only coldness and determination, as if telling those greedy people: Your actions will only lead to your own destruction.

In his eyes, you could see no warmth or tenderness, only an endless coldness and depth. His eyes were like a mirror, clearly reflecting the ugliness and meanness of those who were greedy. His eyes were like a sharp sword, piercing the heart, leaving no room for escape or disguise.

When his eyes fell on those greedy people, they seemed to be bound by an invisible force, unable to move. There was a powerful aura in his eyes that made people feel fear and retreat involuntarily. His eyes were like an invisible wall, isolating those greedy people from him and preventing them from approaching him.

The disgust and indifference revealed in Xiao Yi's eyes seemed to be an invisible warning, telling those greedy people: Don't try to challenge my bottom line again, otherwise you will bear the consequences. His eyes were so firm and decisive, as if no force could shake him.

As the night faded and the morning light hadn't yet fully spread across the earth, a commotion erupted outside Xiao Yi's shelter. A group of people, their faces filled with anger and greed, rushed to Xiao Yi's door, attempting to force him to compensate for the so-called "losses."

These people were the families of the greedy people who were knocked down by Xiao Yi last night. They were eager for wealth and power and tried to obtain ill-gotten gains through threats and blackmail. Their eyes were full of malice and cunning, as if they had seen Xiao Yi succumbing to their feet.

However, Xiao Yi remained unmoved. He stood in front of the door, his eyes as sharp as torches, staring at this group of shameless people. His eyes were full of disgust and indifference, as if he was looking at a group of jumping clowns. He tightly grasped a thick wooden stick, which was the weapon he prepared to protect himself and his family.

"You shameless people, your greedy relatives and friends attacked me last night, and I was just fighting back in self-defense. Now you are confusing right and wrong and are the first to complain!" Xiao Yi's voice was firm and powerful, as if an invisible force was intimidating this group of greedy people.

As soon as he finished speaking, the group roared like enraged beasts. They waved their fists and sticks, trying to break through Xiao Yi's defense. However, Xiao Yi was not afraid. He held the stick tightly in his hand, and each swing brought the force of wind and thunder, repelling those who tried to approach him one by one.

"Anyone who dares to come here to cause trouble, don't blame me for being merciless!" Xiao Yi's voice echoed in the night sky like thunder, shocking the hearts of every greedy person. His eyes flashed with a firm light, as if to say: I will never bow to you shameless people!

Under Xiao Yi's intimidation, the group of greedy people gradually retreated. Although they were unwilling in their hearts, in the face of Xiao Yi's determination and strength, they had to choose to retreat temporarily. However, Xiao Yi knew that this was only a temporary calm, and the road ahead was still long. He must always remain vigilant and strong to protect the peace of himself and his family.

Xiao Yi stood in the early morning light, his gaze as cold as ice. He looked at the once familiar, now deeply loathed, faces before him, disappointment surging like a tide. These people, who had once lived side by side with him, were now distorting right and wrong for their own selfish desires. Their greed and shamelessness completely shattered the last shred of hope Xiao Yi had for them.

He turned, his back looking resolute in the morning light. He knew the chasm between him and this group of people was irreparable. Their hearts had been blinded by greed and power, while all he sought was simple peace and justice.

Resolutely, he set out on the path back to his previous cave. Though simple, it was filled with memories and perseverance. There, there was no greed or power struggle, only harmony between him and nature.

After years of renovation, the cave had become quite comfortable. Soft lights hung on the stone walls, bringing a touch of warmth to the dim space. A simple bed, a neatly arranged table and chairs, and books and weapons placed in the corner—everything seemed perfectly organized. This was his safe haven, his spiritual sustenance.

Xiao Yi sat on a stone bench, gazing at the mountains outside the window, an indescribable tranquility welled up in his heart. He knew he had made the right choice. Although the road ahead was unknown, at least he could stick to his beliefs and principles and stay away from the disputes of greed and power.

The afterglow of the setting sun shone on the entrance of the cave, adding a touch of golden warmth to the quiet space. Xiao Yi sat there quietly, enjoying this rare quiet time. He knew that this was his new life and also his new beginning.
