Iron Wall Fortress: Undercurrent
Xiao Yi stood in the command room of the Iron Wall Fortress, looking out the window at the silent desert, his heart surging like a turbulent sea. He knew that the enemies outside the fortress were eyeing him covetously, but what shocked him even more was that there was a spy inside the fortress.
Recently, the frequent thefts of food from the base have caught Xiao Yi's attention. He ordered increased patrols and surveillance, but could not find any conclusive evidence. It wasn't until one night, when he personally led his soldiers on a patrol, that he finally uncovered the truth.
That night, under the hazy moonlight, Xiao Yi and several soldiers quietly infiltrated the warehouse area. They carefully searched every corner when a familiar figure suddenly came into view. It was Xiaofang, the newly married wife of the deputy captain of the guard. She was carrying a bag, her expression tense, clearly trying to smuggle food.
Xiao Yi was startled, but he did not act immediately. Instead, he continued to observe. He saw Xiao Fang meeting a mysterious man outside the warehouse and handing over the food to him. This scene made Xiao Yi completely understand the truth of the matter - Xiao Fang was a spy sent by someone else to destroy the supply of materials to the Iron Wall Fortress.
Xiao Yi was filled with anger and disappointment. He had never imagined that his trusted deputy captain would marry a spy, and he had never imagined such a betrayal would happen inside the fortress. During interrogation, the mysterious man revealed that he was Xiaofang's superior and that they were part of a criminal gang specializing in destroying human habitats. They used Xiaofang's identity as a cover to attempt to obtain supplies and intelligence from within the Iron Wall Fortress.
Faced with such betrayal and criminal behavior, Xiao Yi showed no mercy. He ordered Xiao Fang and the mysterious man to be handed over to the judicial authorities and strengthened security measures and disciplinary education within the fortress.
