Chapter 595: Unity

The night was as dark as ink, and a fierce wind raged across the desert, stirring up waves of sand. Xiao Yi stood in the command room of the Iron Wall Fortress, his eyes fixed firmly on the distant darkness. His base, the fortress known as the "Iron Wall," was facing an unprecedented challenge.

Intelligence indicates that an unknown force is gathering, armed with powerful weapons, and attempting to storm the fortress. The news immediately raises the stakes within the base, and the soldiers brace for the impending battle.

However, Xiao Yi seemed unusually calm. He knew that as the commander of the base, he could not lose his composure. He walked to the window, his eyes penetrating the darkness, as if he could see through everything.

"It's just a weapon," he muttered to himself, a confident smile playing on his lips. He turned and walked towards the control console, his fingers tapping rapidly on the keyboard. Soon, a series of data and images appeared on the screen.

"Mortars? Are they enough?" he muttered to himself, a flicker of determination in his eyes. He quickly issued an order to mobilize the mortar units in the fortress, preparing to strike the enemy head-on.

However, intelligence came again that the enemy's weapons were far more than just mortars. They brought rocket launchers, a powerful weapon that was enough to cause devastating damage to the fortress.

"Rocket launcher? Is that okay?" Xiao Yi's brows furrowed slightly, but soon relaxed. He knew that facing such an enemy, there could be no retreat or hesitation.

He returned to the control console and began mobilizing all the fort's resources. He ordered engineers to reinforce the fort's defenses and mobilized more soldiers. He also ordered the activation of the fort's secret weapon—a new anti-missile system.

As time went on, the enemy's attacks became more and more fierce. Artillery shells and rockets rained down, turning the area around the fort into a mess. However, under Xiao Yi's command, the soldiers in the fortress were not afraid. With their firm belief and tenacious will, they repelled the enemy's attacks again and again.

Finally, after a long battle, the enemy's attack finally stopped. They realized that they were facing an impenetrable fortress, an indestructible iron wall led by Xiao Yi.

Xiao Yi stood in the command room, staring at the victory scene on the screen with a sharp gaze. He knew that the victory of this battle was not only because they had powerful weapons and firm beliefs, but also because of their spirit of unity and facing difficulties together.

He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. He knew that this battle was just the beginning and that the road ahead was long. But he believed that as long as they united as one and worked together, nothing could stop them from moving forward.

In the vast desert, Xiao Yi's Iron Wall Fortress is humanity's last remaining habitat, and it's also his steadfast position. Within the fortress, order reigns supreme, and the soldiers work together to protect this pure land. However, beneath this seemingly peaceful surface lies an unknown undercurrent.

As the commander of the base, Xiao Yi has always been on high alert to ensure the safety of the fortress. He knows that every bit of resources in the fortress is crucial and cannot be wasted or lost. However, in recent times, frequent food thefts have been occurring in the fortress, causing Xiao Yi a headache.

Food is one of the most scarce resources in the fortress, and every grain of food is related to the survival of the soldiers. Xiao Yi ordered to strengthen patrols and surveillance, but the thefts continued. He was confused and angry, and didn't understand why someone would do such a stupid thing at such a critical moment.

One night, Xiao Yi decided to investigate the grain theft himself. He led a few trusted soldiers and quietly sneaked into the warehouse area in the dead of night. They carefully searched every corner, looking for possible clues.

After searching for a while, they finally found a suspicious figure. The man was wearing a black nightgown and carrying a heavy bag in his hand. He had obviously just come out of the warehouse. At Xiao Yi's command, the soldiers quickly subdued the man and brought him back to the command room.

After interrogation, Xiao Yi learned that the thief was named Li Ming, an ordinary soldier in the fortress. He was originally an honest man, but recently his elderly mother fell ill and urgently needed money for treatment, so he had to take the risk and steal food in exchange for money.

Xiao Yi was silent for a moment after hearing this, and then he slowly said: "Li Ming, I understand your difficulties, but your behavior has violated the discipline of the base. Food is the source of life for all of us, and there can be no waste or loss. You made this choice to save your mother. I can understand your filial piety, but your behavior will undermine the order and safety of our entire base."

Li Ming lowered his head, tears of regret in his eyes. He knew he had done something wrong, but now that things had come to this, he didn't know how to make amends.

Xiao Yi pondered for a moment, then made a decision. He announced that Li Ming would be punished, but considering his filial piety and contributions to the base, he decided to give him a lighter sentence. At the same time, he ordered the strengthening of food management and monitoring within the base to ensure that similar incidents would not occur again.

After resolving the grain theft case, Xiao Yi realized that many potential risks still existed within the fortress. He decided to strengthen discipline education and safety training within the base to improve the soldiers' awareness and response capabilities. At the same time, he also began to consider how to better utilize limited resources to ensure the long-term development and survival of the base.

Under Xiao Yi's leadership, the Iron Wall Fortress gradually returned to its former peace and order. The soldiers united as one to protect this last habitat. They knew that as long as they united and worked together, nothing could stop them from moving forward.
