Once they fell into a deep sleep, it was as if they could never wake up. Their life force was gradually absorbed by the butterfly, becoming the nourishment for its continuous growth. The faces of those who were sleeping still had expressions of fear and despair. They were like bodies without souls, lying there quietly, waiting to be completely devoured.
The entire space was shrouded in this dead silence. Only the butterfly was proudly enjoying its "fruits" and continuing its evil behavior, as if it wanted to bring all life under its control and make the world its source of nutrients.
Fortunately, at the critical moment, everyone regained consciousness. A glint of determination and resolve flashed in their eyes. They would never let the butterfly succeed.
Xiao Yi quickly mobilized the power in his body, and he danced with his hands, and powerful energy gathered in his palms. At the same time, the man with lightning powers also stepped forward, his whole body shining with crackling lightning.
The two exchanged glances, then struck simultaneously, as if by telepathy. Xiao Yi thrust out the energy ball in his hand, sending it shooting out like a meteor, unstoppable. Meanwhile, the man with lightning powers manipulated the violent lightning, transforming it into ferocious electric snakes that swept towards the butterfly.
The moment the energy ball and lightning collided with the butterfly, a deafening roar erupted. The powerful impact spread outward, distorting the surrounding air. Under this powerful attack, the butterfly had no time to react and was instantly struck.
The energy ball and the power of lightning raged through the butterfly, tearing its seemingly beautiful yet evil body into pieces. The butterfly let out a shrill scream and then turned into countless fragments, scattering like fireworks.
Xiao Yi and the man with lightning powers did not stop. They continued to increase their power output, further blasting the fragments into pieces, ensuring that the terrifying butterfly could no longer pose any threat. Finally, under their combined attack, the butterfly was completely destroyed, and the crisis that had originally shrouded everyone was also lifted. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, thankful that the disaster was finally over.
When the thick dark clouds finally dissipated and the sky began to reveal its original blue color bit by bit, people's faces first showed an expression of disbelief, and then they were filled with uncontrollable ecstasy.
They all raised their heads, their eyes fixed on the gradually clearing sky, their eyes gleaming with excitement. The sunlight streamed down like a golden veil, illuminating people's faces and bodies, bringing a warmth they hadn't felt in a long time.
Some people couldn't help but open their arms, wanting to embrace the long-lost sunshine, their faces filled with bright smiles that seemed to melt everything. They shouted and screamed excitedly, their voices filled with joy and excitement.
Children ran and played happily in the sunshine, their laughter as clear and melodious as silver bells, echoing in the air. The adults, on the other hand, looked relieved and content, feeling the gentle caress of the sun, as if all their fatigue and worries had been swept away in that moment.
Everyone looked at each other, their eyes filled with unconcealed joy. They began to chat, their words filled with praise for the sunny day and their hopes for the future. Some even cried with joy, their tears sparkling with happiness in the sunlight.
The entire world seemed illuminated by the brilliant sunshine, brimming with life. Flowers, plants, and trees glowed brighter and more vibrantly in the sunlight, while birds sang joyfully, celebrating the arrival of a sunny day. People were immersed in this joy, savoring this beautiful moment to the fullest, as if wanting to etch this happiness into their hearts forever.
The sky was clear, the sun shining softly. People lay comfortably on the grass, completely relaxed. Some stretched their limbs, feeling the softness and warmth of the grass; others squinted their eyes, letting the warm sunlight gently caress their faces.
Some people took a deep breath, the air filled with the fresh scent of grass and soil, making them feel relaxed and happy. Their mouths unconsciously turned up, revealing a satisfied smile. At this moment, all the stress and fatigue gradually dissipated.
Not far away, some people shouted excitedly. They had discovered a multitude of wild fruits. The fruits, some bright red, some shimmering purple, hung thickly from the branches, looking incredibly tempting. People ran over with great joy, carefully picking the fruits and holding them in their hands.
They eagerly put the fruit into their mouths and gently bit into it. The sweet and sour juice overflowed in their mouths, instantly stimulating their taste buds. As they savored this natural delicacy, they let out satisfied exclamations of praise. The children ate with gusto, their little faces covered in juice, but their smiles were particularly bright.
The adults, too, seemed to have returned to their childhood, enjoying this simple, pure joy. They sat together, sharing these wild fruits, laughter filling the air. Someone even joked, "This tastes much better than those cultivated fruits!" Everyone nodded in agreement.
Here, people relax to their heart's content, enjoying the gifts of nature and this rare leisure time, as if time has stopped for them, and everything is so beautiful and peaceful.
Xiao Yi and the others continued to move forward. After a long trek, they finally welcomed a sunny day. The sun shone down, dispelling the haze of many days. People's faces showed long-lost smiles, and their mood became cheerful.
However, just as people were enjoying themselves, they were horrified to find themselves trapped. They seemed to be trapped in an invisible maze. No matter which direction they walked in, no matter how long they walked, they would eventually return to the same place. The surrounding scenery looked exactly the same, and there were no obvious landmarks to help them identify the direction.
