The girl's hair was scattered messily around her face, with a few strands of hair sticking to her tear-stained cheeks, adding a bit of misery. Her clothes were disheveled, and the torn corners and stains showed the rough treatment she had suffered.
When Xiao Yi saw this scene, his heart suddenly tugged, and a strong sense of anger and sympathy instantly surged in his heart. His eyes became more determined, and he was determined to rescue this innocent girl from this terrible predicament.
Xiao Yi's heart suddenly tightened, as if being grasped by an invisible big hand. His breathing became rapid in an instant, and he stepped forward quickly without hesitation.
As he approached the girl, his movements were gentle yet eager, his hands trembling slightly, afraid of hurting her. He first gently touched the thick rope that bound the girl, as if it was not an ordinary rope, but a sharp needle that pierced his heart.
Xiao Yi carefully began to untie the rope, his fingers nimbly moving between the knots. Every time he untied a knot, he would pause to observe the girl's expression, making sure he didn't cause her more pain. Fine beads of sweat oozed from his forehead, but he didn't bother to wipe them off.
After the rope was untied, he reached out to the tape on the girl's mouth with extreme caution. Xiao Yi took a deep breath, tried to make his movements slow, and tore the edge of the tape little by little. He paused for a moment every time he tore it a little, for fear that the tearing of the tape would cause pain to the girl.
When the tape was finally completely torn off, Xiao Yi breathed a sigh of relief, as if he had completed an extremely difficult task. At this moment, his eyes were full of concern and pity. He looked at the girl quietly, waiting for her to slowly recover from her fear.
The girl gasped for air, each breath coming in quick, heavy breaths, her chest rising and falling violently like a drowning person struggling to surface from the deep sea.
Her body was trembling from being restrained for so long, the trembling starting from her shoulders and spreading like ripples throughout her body. Every muscle was twitching involuntarily, as if protesting against this inhuman torture.
Her teeth chattered, knocking up and down, trying to ease the trembling of her body and the fear in her heart. She hugged her arms tightly with both hands, her fingers digging deep into her skin, but she seemed to feel no pain.
The girl's legs were bent weakly, unable to support her frail body. The toes of her feet kept shaking, as if she wanted to break free from the ground, but was unable to do so.
An indistinct whimper came from her throat, and tears flowed freely like a flood, mixing with sweat, leaving traces on her dirty face.
The whole person is like a leaf swaying in the wind, fragile and helpless, which makes people feel distressed.
Xiao Yi softly comforted the girl: "Don't be afraid, you are safe now." His voice was gentle and low, like a warm spring breeze, gently blowing across the girl's frightened heart.
Xiao Yi squatted down and looked at the girl at eye level, his eyes full of pity and concern. His tone was slow and steady, and every word he said was clear and firm: "Don't be afraid anymore, little girl, those bad guys have been driven away and will not hurt you again."
Xiao Yi reached out his hand, wanting to gently stroke the girl's hair to comfort her, but he was afraid of being abrupt, so his hand paused in mid-air, and finally just gently rested on the girl's shoulder. "Believe me, it's safe here, you're out of danger." His voice was full of reassuring power.
Xiao Yi's eyes were fixed on the girl without shifting for a moment. "No one can threaten you anymore. I will always be by your side to protect you." His tone was sincere and genuine, trying to dispel the haze of fear deep in the girl's heart.
His voice was gentle yet firm, like a soft, soothing yet powerful piece of music, trying to calm the girl.
The sound was like the gurgling of a stream from a deep valley, carrying a sense of peace and tranquility. Each note gently struck the girl's tense nerves, trying to soothe the turbulent waves in her heart.
He spoke slowly, his tone unhurried, "Don't panic, little girl, it's all over." Each word was like a soft feather, gently touching the girl's heart.
"Believe me, no danger will come near you again." There was an unquestionable certainty in his voice, as if planting a seed of peace of mind in the girl's heart.
"Relax and breathe slowly." He continued, and his gentle tone seemed to have magic, making the girl want to obey involuntarily.
His eyes were always fixed on the girl, and his voice was like warm sunshine, "You are safe now, don't worry." His firm tone gave people a feeling of incomparable reliability, as if it could withstand all the storms in the world.
Tears welled up in the girl's eyes, like a flood bursting through a dam, instantly covering her pale, terrified face. She choked out, "Thank you... They're taking me to a place I don't know..." Her voice trembled, filled with endless fear and grievance, and every word seemed to be squeezed out with great difficulty from the depths of her broken heart.
The girl's shoulders kept shaking, and tears and snot mixed together, making her look even more embarrassed and helpless. "I didn't know what happened. They suddenly appeared and grabbed me." She sobbed, her words intermittent. "I thought I would never come back. I was so scared..."
Xiao Yi frowned, his mind filled with questions. His brows were knitted tightly into the shape of a "川" character, and his deep eyes gleamed with thought. "Why did these mercenaries kidnap this girl? What secrets does she hide?" He pondered over and over in his mind.
